CVE-2022-50262 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-15 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/ntfs3: Validate BOOT record_size When the NTFS BOOT record_size field < 0, it represents a shift value. However, there is no sanity check on the shift result and the sbi->record_bits calculation through blksize_bits() assumes the size always > 256, which could lead to NPD while mounting a malformed NTFS image. CVE-2022-50016 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-15 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: SOF: Intel: cnl: Do not process IPC reply before firmware boot It is not yet clear, but it is possible to create a firmware so broken that it will send a reply message before a FW_READY message (it is not yet clear if FW_READY will arrive later). Since the reply_data is allocated only after the FW_READY message, this will lead to a NULL pointer dereference if not filtered out. The issue was reported with IPC4 firmware but the same condition is present for IPC3.

CVE-2022-49974 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-15 N/A 8.8 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: nintendo: fix rumble worker null pointer deref We can dereference a null pointer trying to queue work to a destroyed workqueue. If the device is disconnected, nintendo_hid_remove is called, in which the rumble_queue is destroyed. Avoid using that queue to defer rumble work once the controller state is set to JOYCON_CTLR_STATE_REMOVED. This eliminates the null pointer dereference.
CVE-2022-49833 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-15 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: zoned: clone zoned device info when cloning a device When cloning a btrfs_device, we're not cloning the associated btrfs_zoned_device_info structure of the device in case of a zoned filesystem. Later on this leads to a NULL pointer dereference when accessing the device's zone_info for instance when setting a zone as active. This was uncovered by fstests' testcase btrfs/161.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pinctrl: aspeed: Fix potential NULL dereference in aspeed_pinmux_set_mux() pdesc could be null but still dereference pdesc->name and it will lead to a null pointer access. So we move a null check before dereference.
CVE-2022-49527 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-15 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: venus: hfi: avoid null dereference in deinit If venus_probe fails at pm_runtime_put_sync the error handling first calls hfi_destroy and afterwards hfi_core_deinit. As hfi_destroy sets core->ops to NULL, hfi_core_deinit cannot call the core_deinit function anymore. Avoid this null pointer derefence by skipping the call when necessary.

CVE-2022-49516 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-15 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ice: always check VF VSI pointer values The ice_get_vf_vsi function can return NULL in some cases, such as if handling messages during a reset where the VSI is being removed and recreated. Several places throughout the driver do not bother to check whether this VSI pointer is valid. Static analysis tools maybe report issues because they detect paths where a potentially NULL pointer could be dereferenced. Fix this by checking the return value of ice_get_vf_vsi everywhere.
CVE-2022-49453 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-15 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: soc: ti: ti_sci_pm_domains: Check for null return of devm_kcalloc The allocation funciton devm_kcalloc may fail and return a null pointer, which would cause a null-pointer dereference later. It might be better to check it and directly return -ENOMEM just like the usage of devm_kcalloc in previous code.

Make sure to the clear the DMA channel pointers on setup failure to avoid dereferencing an error pointer (or attempting to release a channel a second time) on later probe errors or driver unbind. This issue was flagged by Sashiko when reviewing a devres allocation conversion patch.

CVE-2026-64168 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-13 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: sprd: fix error pointer deref after DMA setup failure The driver falls back to PIO mode if DMA setup fails during probe. Make sure to check the dma.enabled flag before trying to release the DMA channels also on late probe errors to avoid dereferencing an error pointer (or attempting to release a channel a second time). This issue was flagged by Sashiko when reviewing a devres allocation conversion patch.
CVE-2026-64167 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-13 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: kho: skip KHO for crash kernel kho_fill_kimage() unconditionally populates the kimage with KHO metadata for every kexec image type. When the image is a crash kernel, this can be problematic as the crash kernel can run in a small reserved region and the KHO scratch areas can sit outside it. The crash kernel then faults during kho_memory_init() when it tries phys_to_virt() on the KHO FDT address: Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address xxxxxxxx ... fdt_offset_ptr+... fdt_check_node_offset_+... fdt_first_property_offset+... fdt_get_property_namelen_+... fdt_getprop+... kho_memory_init+... mm_core_init+... start_kernel+... kho_locate_mem_hole() already skips KHO logic for KEXEC_TYPE_CRASH images, but kho_fill_kimage() was missing the same guard. As kho_fill_kimage() is the single point that populates image->kho.fdt and image->kho.scratch, fixing it here is sufficient for both arm64 and x86 as the FDT and boot_params path are bailing out when these fields are unset.
CVE-2026-64166 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-13 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: firmware: arm_ffa: Check for NULL FF-A ID table while driver registration The bus match callback assumes that every FF-A driver provides an id_table and dereferences it unconditionally. Enforce that contract at registration time so a buggy client driver cannot crash the bus during match.
CVE-2026-64165 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-13 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ARM: integrator: Fix early initialization Starting with commit bdb249fce9ad4 ("ARM: integrator: read counter using syscon/regmap"), intcp_init_early calls syscon_regmap_lookup_by_compatible which in turn calls of_syscon_register. This function allocates memory. Since the memory management code has not been initialized at that time, the call always fails. It either returns -ENOMEM or crashes as follows. Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 0000000c when read [0000000c] *pgd=00000000 Internal error: Oops: 5 [#1] ARM Modules linked in: CPU: 0 UID: 0 PID: 0 Comm: swapper Not tainted 6.15.0-rc5-00026-g5fcc9bf84ee5 #1 PREEMPT Hardware name: ARM Integrator/CP (Device Tree) PC is at __kmalloc_cache_noprof+0xec/0x39c LR is at __kmalloc_cache_noprof+0x34/0x39c ... The crash is not seen with all versions of gcc. Some versions such as gcc 9.x apparently do not dereference the pointer, presumably if tracing is disabled. The problem has been reproduced with gcc 10.x, 11.x, and 13.x. Either case, if the crash is not seen, the call to syscon_regmap_lookup_by_compatible returns -ENOMEM, and sched_clock_register is never called. Fix the problem by moving the early initialization code into the standard machine initialization code.
