CVE-2026-76166 2026-08-20 N/A 4.3 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in mod_cluster's AdvertiseListenerImpl (org.jboss.modcluster core module). A single crafted UDP multicast datagram with a valid HTTP status line and a "Server:" header but without the "Date:", "Digest:", and "Sequence:" headers triggers a NullPointerException in verifyDigest() that is not caught by the worker thread's exception handler. This causes the advertise listener thread to terminate permanently. The failure is silent (isListening() continues to return true) and persists until the node is restarted. The crash occurs before the AdvertiseSecurityKey comparison, so deployments with a configured security key are still affected.
CVE-2026-16817 1 Ibm 2 Aix, Vios 2026-08-20 N/A 7.5 HIGH
IBM AIX 7.2, and 7.3 and IBM PowerVM VIOS 4.1 could allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service due to a NULL pointer dereference.
CVE-2026-73199 2026-08-20 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in the `ipa-enrollment` SLAPI plugin. A remote authenticated client can exploit a null pointer dereference vulnerability by sending a malformed Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) extended operation. By omitting the request value for the `JOIN_OID` in the `ipa-enrollment` extended operation, an attacker can trigger a server crash, potentially causing a denial of service.

CVE-2023-21700 1 Microsoft 13 Windows 10, Windows 10 1607, Windows 10 1809 and 10 more 2026-08-19 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Windows iSCSI Discovery Service Denial of Service Vulnerability
CVE-2020-1069 1 Microsoft 3 Sharepoint Enterprise Server, Sharepoint Foundation, Sharepoint Server 2026-08-19 6.5 MEDIUM 8.8 HIGH
A remote code execution vulnerability exists in Microsoft SharePoint Server when it fails to properly identify and filter unsafe ASP.Net web controls. An authenticated attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could use a specially crafted page to perform actions in the security context of the SharePoint application pool process. To exploit the vulnerability, an authenticated user must create and invoke a specially crafted page on an affected version of Microsoft SharePoint Server. The security update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how Microsoft SharePoint Server handles processing of created content.
CVE-2023-29539 1 Mozilla 5 Firefox, Firefox Esr, Firefox Mobile and 2 more 2026-08-19 N/A 8.8 HIGH
When handling the filename directive in the Content-Disposition header, the filename would be truncated if the filename contained a NULL character. This could have led to reflected file download attacks potentially tricking users to install malware. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 112, Focus for Android < 112, Firefox ESR < 102.10, Firefox for Android < 112, and Thunderbird < 102.10.
CVE-2026-73502 2026-08-18 N/A 5.3 MEDIUM
kin-openapi is a Go project for handling OpenAPI files. From 0.2.0 until 0.144.0, openapi3filter.ValidateRequest can encounter a NULL-pointer-dereference denial of service when an operation declares a content parameter whose application/json media type has no schema. In openapi3filter/req_resp_decoder.go, the default defaultContentParameterDecoder dereferences mt.Schema.Value without checking whether mt.Schema is nil, even though doc.Validate() accepts the document under OpenAPI 3.0.x and 3.1.x. A single unauthenticated request supplying the parameter value can panic request validation, causing an aborted request with log growth in the common synchronous net/http path or a full process crash in integrations without recovery. This issue is fixed in version 0.144.0.
CVE-2026-17574 1 Hdfgroup 1 Hdf5 2026-08-18 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
HDF5 contains a NULL pointer dereference vulnerability. Processing a crafted HDF5 file containing an attribute with an invalid variable-length datatype type field may cause the application to crash when the attribute is read.
CVE-2026-59949 2026-08-18 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
yawkat LZ4 Java provides LZ4 compression for Java. Prior to 1.11.1, JNI-backed XXHash implementations fail to validate the byte array object and the off and len arguments in XXHashFactory.nativeInstance().hash32().hash(), XXHashFactory.nativeInstance().hash64().hash(), XXHashFactory.nativeInstance().newStreamingHash32().update(), and XXHashFactory.nativeInstance().newStreamingHash64().update(), allowing null arrays or oversized ranges to reach native code, read outside the Java array, and fatally terminate the JVM. This issue is fixed in version 1.11.1.
CVE-2026-50126 2026-08-18 N/A 4.0 MEDIUM
Adaguc-server is an open source geographical information system to visualize, combine, compare and share real-time meteorological, climatological and remote sensing data via OGC standards. Versions prior to 7.2.2 crash with a memory-safety fault when it parses a GeoJSON document whose geometry contains a malformed coordinate. The coordinate parser in `adagucserverEC/CConvertGeoJSON.cpp` indexes `pt.u.array.values[0]` and `pt.u.array.values[1]` and uses `polygon.u.array.length` as a loop bound without first validating the JSON node type or the coordinate length. A coordinate that is an empty array, a one-element array, a scalar, or `null` leads to an out-of-bounds heap read or a NULL pointer dereference. The same unchecked pattern is present in four geometry branches: `Polygon`, `LineString`, `MultiLineString` and `MultiPolygon`. The vulnerable parser runs whenever the server processes a local GeoJSON file, either a configured GeoJSON dataset or a GeoJSON file exposed through the `AutoResource` feature and requested by an unauthenticated WMS request. A crafted GeoJSON file reliably crashes the backend process that handles that request. Version 7.2.2 patches the vulnerability.
CVE-2026-11788 1 Redhat 3 389 Directory Server, Directory Server, Enterprise Linux 2026-08-18 N/A 5.9 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in 389 Directory Server. The dereference control plugin does not check for allocation failure before using a BER structure, allowing an unauthenticated remote attacker to crash the LDAP server when the system is under memory pressure.
CVE-2026-64140 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-18 N/A 7.5 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix null pointer dereference in proc_show_files() When a SMB2 client opens a file with a durable v2 handle and then issues SMB2 SESSION_LOGOFF, session_fd_check() clears fp->tcon = NULL on the reconnectable file pointer but leaves the fp registered in global_ft.idr until the durable scavenger fires (up to fp->durable_timeout seconds later). During that window any read of /proc/fs/ksmbd/files (mode 0400) panics the kernel because proc_show_files() walks global_ft.idr and unconditionally dereferences fp->tcon->id with no NULL guard. Reproducer requires only a successful SMB2 SESSION_SETUP and a share configured with 'durable handles = yes'. KASAN report on mainline 70390501d194: general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address 0xdffffc0000000000: 0000 [#1] SMP KASAN PTI KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x0000000000000000-0x0000000000000007] RIP: 0010:proc_show_files+0x118/0x740 Call Trace: proc_show_files+0x118/0x740 seq_read_iter+0x4ef/0xe10 proc_reg_read_iter+0x1b7/0x280 ... CVE-2026-64141 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-18 N/A 7.5 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix null pointer dereference in compare_guid_key() session_fd_check() walks the per-inode m_op_list during durable-handle session teardown and sets op->conn = NULL for every opinfo whose conn matched the closing session's connection. The matching opinfo, however, stays linked in its per-ClientGuid lease_table_list entry's lb->lease_list because destroy_lease_table() only runs on full TCP-connection teardown, not on SESSION_LOGOFF. If the same TCP connection then negotiates a fresh session with the same ClientGuid (ClientGuid is bound to NEGOTIATE, not the session, and is unchanged across LOGOFF + SETUP) and issues a SMB2 CREATE with a lease context on a different inode, find_same_lease_key() walks lb->lease_list, reaches the stale opinfo, and calls compare_guid_key(), which unconditionally dereferences opinfo->conn->ClientGUID. The conn pointer is NULL and the kernel panics. Reproducer requires only a successful SMB2 SESSION_SETUP and a share configured with 'durable handles = yes'. KASAN report on mainline 70390501d194: general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address 0xdffffc0000000069: 0000 [#1] SMP KASAN PTI KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x0000000000000348-0x000000000000034f] Workqueue: ksmbd-io handle_ksmbd_work RIP: 0010:bcmp+0x5b/0x230 Call Trace: compare_guid_key+0x4b/0xd0 find_same_lease_key+0x324/0x690 smb2_open+0x6aea/0x8e60 handle_ksmbd_work+0x796/0xee0 ... Faulting address 0x348 is the offset of ClientGUID within struct ksmbd_conn, confirming opinfo->conn was NULL. Read opinfo->conn once and bail out if it has been cleared by a concurrent session_fd_check(). A half-detached opinfo cannot be the owner of an active lease, so returning 0 is the correct match result.
CVE-2026-64297 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-17 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: module: decompress: check return value of module_extend_max_pages() module_extend_max_pages() calls kvrealloc() internally and returns -ENOMEM on allocation failure. The return value is never checked. If the initial allocation fails, info->pages remains NULL and info->max_pages remains 0. Subsequent calls to module_get_next_page() will attempt to dynamically grow the array by calling module_extend_max_pages(info, 0) since info->used_pages is 0. This results in kvrealloc(NULL, 0) returning ZERO_SIZE_PTR, which is treated as a success, leading to a dereference of ZERO_SIZE_PTR and a kernel oops. Fix: add the missing error check after module_extend_max_pages() and return immediately on failure. This matches the pattern used by every other kvrealloc() caller in the module loading path. [Sami: Corrected the analysis in the commit message.]
CVE-2026-64295 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-17 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm: page_ext: add count limit to page_ext_iter_next to prevent invalid PFN access The page_ext iteration API does not validate if the PFN still belongs to a valid section while advancing the iterator. When dynamically adding memory in the hotplug path, it can lead to a NULL pointer dereference during page_ext_lookup at the boundary of the last valid section when iterator count equals __pgcount. The for_each_page_ext() macro calls page_ext_iter_next() as its loop increment. for_each_page_ext() does a "__page_ext = page_ext_iter_next(&__iter)" at the end. This causes page_ext_iter_next() to increment iter->index past __pgcount and call page_ext_lookup(start_pfn + __pgcount). During memory hotplug (online), the PFN at start_pfn + __pgcount may belong to a section that has not yet been initialized, causing page_ext_lookup() to trigger a NULL pointer dereference. CVE-2026-64288 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-17 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: nv: Avoid dereferencing NULL VNCR pseudo-TLB VNCR TLB invalidation occurs from MMU notifiers or TLBI instructions, and either can race against a vcpu not being onlined yet (no pseudo-TLB allocated). Similarly, the TLB might be invalid, and the invalidation should be skipped in this case. Both kvm_invalidate_vncr_ipa() and kvm_invalidate_vncr_va() are expected to perform the same checks, except that the latter doesn't check for the allocation and blindly dereferences the pointer. Solve this by introducing a new iterator built on top of the usual kvm_for_each_vcpu() that checks for both of the above conditions, and convert the two users to it.
CVE-2026-64258 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-17 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse-uring: remove request-less entries from ent_w_req_queue to fix NULL deref If a copy into the userspace ring buffer fails, a request will be terminated and fuse_uring_req_end() will set ent->fuse_req to NULL but it will leave the entry on ent_w_req_queue in FRRS_FUSE_REQ state. This can lead to a NULL deref if the request expiration logic scans ent_w_req_queue in the window before the entry is moved off it. Fix this by taking the entry off ent_w_req_queue and changing its state from FRRS_FUSE_REQ to FRRS_INVALID before terminating the request.
CVE-2026-64253 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-17 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: kernel/fork: clear PF_BLOCK_TS in copy_process() PF_BLOCK_TS is only set in blk_time_get_ns() when current->plug is non-NULL, and blk_finish_plug() clears it via __blk_flush_plug() before NULLing the plug pointer. copy_process() breaks the invariant by inheriting PF_BLOCK_TS from the parent while resetting the child's plug to NULL. Clear PF_BLOCK_TS alongside that assignment so callers can rely on "PF_BLOCK_TS set implies current->plug != NULL" and dereference current->plug unguarded.
