| The SSL protocol, as used in certain configurations in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, and other products, encrypts data by using CBC mode with chained initialization vectors, which allows man-in-the-middle attackers to obtain plaintext HTTP headers via a blockwise chosen-boundary attack (BCBA) on an HTTPS session, in conjunction with JavaScript code that uses (1) the HTML5 WebSocket API, (2) the Java URLConnection API, or (3) the Silverlight WebClient API, aka a "BEAST" attack. | |||||

| named in ISC BIND 9.x before 9.9.7-P2 and 9.10.x before 9.10.2-P3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (REQUIRE assertion failure and daemon exit) via TKEY queries. | |||||
| CVE-2020-13934 | 6 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 3 more | 14 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 11 more | 2026-10-08 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
| An h2c direct connection to Apache Tomcat 10.0.0-M1 to 10.0.0-M6, 9.0.0.M5 to 9.0.36 and 8.5.1 to 8.5.56 did not release the HTTP/1.1 processor after the upgrade to HTTP/2. If a sufficient number of such requests were made, an OutOfMemoryException could occur leading to a denial of service. | |||||
| CVE-2020-11996 | 6 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 3 more | 8 Tomcat, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 5 more | 2026-10-08 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
| A specially crafted sequence of HTTP/2 requests sent to Apache Tomcat 10.0.0-M1 to 10.0.0-M5, 9.0.0.M1 to 9.0.35 and 8.5.0 to 8.5.55 could trigger high CPU usage for several seconds. If a sufficient number of such requests were made on concurrent HTTP/2 connections, the server could become unresponsive. | |||||
| CVE-2019-20445 | 6 Apache, Canonical, Debian and 3 more | 8 Spark, Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux and 5 more | 2026-10-08 | 6.4 MEDIUM | 9.1 CRITICAL |
| HttpObjectDecoder.java in Netty before 4.1.44 allows a Content-Length header to be accompanied by a second Content-Length header, or by a Transfer-Encoding header. | |||||
| CVE-2019-20444 | 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more | 7 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 4 more | 2026-10-08 | 6.4 MEDIUM | 9.1 CRITICAL |
| HttpObjectDecoder.java in Netty before 4.1.44 allows an HTTP header that lacks a colon, which might be interpreted as a separate header with an incorrect syntax, or might be interpreted as an "invalid fold." | |||||
| CVE-2019-1551 | 7 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more | 9 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 6 more | 2026-10-08 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 5.3 MEDIUM |
| There is an overflow bug in the x64_64 Montgomery squaring procedure used in exponentiation with 512-bit moduli. No EC algorithms are affected. Analysis suggests that attacks against 2-prime RSA1024, 3-prime RSA1536, and DSA1024 as a result of this defect would be very difficult to perform and are not believed likely. Attacks against DH512 are considered just feasible. However, for an attack the target would have to re-use the DH512 private key, which is not recommended anyway. Also applications directly using the low level API BN_mod_exp may be affected if they use BN_FLG_CONSTTIME. Fixed in OpenSSL 1.1.1e (Affected 1.1.1-1.1.1d). Fixed in OpenSSL 1.0.2u (Affected 1.0.2-1.0.2t). | |||||
| CVE-2019-16869 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Netty and 1 more | 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Netty and 2 more | 2026-10-08 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
| Netty before 4.1.42.Final mishandles whitespace before the colon in HTTP headers (such as a "Transfer-Encoding : chunked" line), which leads to HTTP request smuggling. | |||||
| CVE-2019-13962 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Opensuse and 1 more | 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Backports Sle and 2 more | 2026-10-08 | 7.5 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
| lavc_CopyPicture in modules/codec/avcodec/video.c in VideoLAN VLC media player through 3.0.7 has a heap-based buffer over-read because it does not properly validate the width and height. | |||||
| CVE-2019-13602 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Opensuse and 1 more | 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Backports Sle and 2 more | 2026-10-08 | 6.8 MEDIUM | 7.8 HIGH |
| An Integer Underflow in MP4_EIA608_Convert() in modules/demux/mp4/mp4.c in VideoLAN VLC media player through 3.0.7.1 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (heap-based buffer overflow and crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted .mp4 file. | |||||
| CVE-2019-12972 | 3 Canonical, Gnu, Opensuse | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Binutils, Leap | 2026-10-08 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| An issue was discovered in the Binary File Descriptor (BFD) library (aka libbfd), as distributed in GNU Binutils 2.32. There is a heap-based buffer over-read in _bfd_doprnt in bfd.c because elf_object_p in elfcode.h mishandles an e_shstrndx section of type SHT_GROUP by omitting a trailing '\0' character. | |||||
| CVE-2018-5407 | 7 Canonical, Debian, Nodejs and 4 more | 20 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Node.js and 17 more | 2026-10-08 | 1.9 LOW | 4.7 MEDIUM |

| The OpenSSL ECDSA signature algorithm has been shown to be vulnerable to a timing side channel attack. An attacker could use variations in the signing algorithm to recover the private key. Fixed in OpenSSL 1.1.0j (Affected 1.1.0-1.1.0i). Fixed in OpenSSL 1.1.1a (Affected 1.1.1). | |||||
| CVE-2018-0734 | 6 Canonical, Debian, Netapp and 3 more | 20 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Cloud Backup and 17 more | 2026-10-08 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 5.9 MEDIUM |
