An unprivileged write to the file handler flaw in the Linux kernel's control groups and namespaces subsystem was found in the way users have access to some less privileged process that are controlled by cgroups and have higher privileged parent process. It is actually both for cgroup2 and cgroup1 versions of control groups. A local user could use this flaw to crash the system or escalate their privileges on the system.
CVE-2021-4157 4 Fedoraproject, Linux, Netapp and 1 more 17 Fedora, Linux Kernel, H300e and 14 more 2026-06-17 7.4 HIGH 8.0 HIGH
An out of memory bounds write flaw (1 or 2 bytes of memory) in the Linux kernel NFS subsystem was found in the way users use mirroring (replication of files with NFS). A user, having access to the NFS mount, could potentially use this flaw to crash the system or escalate privileges on the system.
CVE-2021-4154 3 Linux, Netapp, Redhat 4 Linux Kernel, Hci Baseboard Management Controller, Enterprise Linux and 1 more 2026-06-17 7.2 HIGH 8.8 HIGH
A use-after-free flaw was found in cgroup1_parse_param in kernel/cgroup/cgroup-v1.c in the Linux kernel's cgroup v1 parser. A local attacker with a user privilege could cause a privilege escalation by exploiting the fsconfig syscall parameter leading to a container breakout and a denial of service on the system.
CVE-2021-4147 3 Fedoraproject, Netapp, Redhat 3 Fedora, Ontap Select Deploy Administration Utility, Libvirt 2026-06-17 4.9 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in the libvirt libxl driver. A malicious guest could continuously reboot itself and cause libvirtd on the host to deadlock or crash, resulting in a denial of service condition.
CVE-2021-4083 4 Debian, Linux, Netapp and 1 more 23 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, H300e and 20 more 2026-06-17 6.9 MEDIUM 7.0 HIGH
A read-after-free memory flaw was found in the Linux kernel's garbage collection for Unix domain socket file handlers in the way users call close() and fget() simultaneously and can potentially trigger a race condition. This flaw allows a local user to crash the system or escalate their privileges on the system. This flaw affects Linux kernel versions prior to 5.16-rc4.
CVE-2021-4044 3 Netapp, Nodejs, Openssl 26 500f, 500f Firmware, A250 and 23 more 2026-06-17 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
Internally libssl in OpenSSL calls X509_verify_cert() on the client side to verify a certificate supplied by a server. That function may return a negative return value to indicate an internal error (for example out of memory). Such a negative return value is mishandled by OpenSSL and will cause an IO function (such as SSL_connect() or SSL_do_handshake()) to not indicate success and a subsequent call to SSL_get_error() to return the value SSL_ERROR_WANT_RETRY_VERIFY. This return value is only supposed to be returned by OpenSSL if the application has previously called SSL_CTX_set_cert_verify_callback(). Since most applications do not do this the SSL_ERROR_WANT_RETRY_VERIFY return value from SSL_get_error() will be totally unexpected and applications may not behave correctly as a result. The exact behaviour will depend on the application but it could result in crashes, infinite loops or other similar incorrect responses. This issue is made more serious in combination with a separate bug in OpenSSL 3.0 that will cause X509_verify_cert() to indicate an internal error when processing a certificate chain. This will occur where a certificate does not include the Subject Alternative Name extension but where a Certificate Authority has enforced name constraints. This issue can occur even with valid chains. By combining the two issues an attacker could induce incorrect, application dependent behaviour. Fixed in OpenSSL 3.0.1 (Affected 3.0.0).
CVE-2021-45868 2 Linux, Netapp 17 Linux Kernel, H300e, H300e Firmware and 14 more 2026-06-17 4.3 MEDIUM 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel before 5.15.3, fs/quota/quota_tree.c does not validate the block number in the quota tree (on disk). This can, for example, lead to a kernel/locking/rwsem.c use-after-free if there is a corrupted quota file.
CVE-2021-45469 4 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 1 more 19 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 16 more 2026-06-17 4.6 MEDIUM 7.8 HIGH
In __f2fs_setxattr in fs/f2fs/xattr.c in the Linux kernel through 5.15.11, there is an out-of-bounds memory access when an inode has an invalid last xattr entry.
CVE-2021-45346 2 Netapp, Sqlite 2 Ontap Select Deploy Administration Utility, Sqlite 2026-06-17 4.0 MEDIUM 4.3 MEDIUM
A Memory Leak vulnerability exists in SQLite Project SQLite3 3.35.1 and 3.37.0 via maliciously crafted SQL Queries (made via editing the Database File), it is possible to query a record, and leak subsequent bytes of memory that extend beyond the record, which could let a malicious user obtain sensitive information. NOTE: The developer disputes this as a vulnerability stating that If you give SQLite a corrupted database file and submit a query against the database, it might read parts of the database that you did not intend or expect.
CVE-2021-45100 3 Ksmbd Project, Linux, Netapp 18 Ksmbd, Linux Kernel, H300e and 15 more 2026-06-17 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
The ksmbd server through 3.4.2, as used in the Linux kernel through 5.15.8, sometimes communicates in cleartext even though encryption has been enabled. This occurs because it sets the SMB2_GLOBAL_CAP_ENCRYPTION flag when using the SMB 3.1.1 protocol, which is a violation of the SMB protocol specification. When Windows 10 detects this protocol violation, it disables encryption.
CVE-2021-45078 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Gnu and 2 more 5 Debian Linux, Fedora, Binutils and 2 more 2026-06-17 6.8 MEDIUM 7.8 HIGH
stab_xcoff_builtin_type in stabs.c in GNU Binutils through 2.37 allows attackers to cause a denial of service (heap-based buffer overflow) or possibly have unspecified other impact, as demonstrated by an out-of-bounds write. NOTE: this issue exists because of an incorrect fix for CVE-2018-12699.
CVE-2021-44790 7 Apache, Apple, Debian and 4 more 14 Http Server, Mac Os X, Macos and 11 more 2026-06-17 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
A carefully crafted request body can cause a buffer overflow in the mod_lua multipart parser (r:parsebody() called from Lua scripts). The Apache httpd team is not aware of an exploit for the vulnerabilty though it might be possible to craft one. This issue affects Apache HTTP Server 2.4.51 and earlier.
CVE-2021-44716 3 Debian, Golang, Netapp 3 Debian Linux, Go, Cloud Insights Telegraf 2026-06-17 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
net/http in Go before 1.16.12 and 1.17.x before 1.17.5 allows uncontrolled memory consumption in the header canonicalization cache via HTTP/2 requests.
CVE-2021-43976 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Linux and 2 more 23 Debian Linux, Fedora, Linux Kernel and 20 more 2026-06-17 2.1 LOW 4.6 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel through 5.15.2, mwifiex_usb_recv in drivers/net/wireless/marvell/mwifiex/usb.c allows an attacker (who can connect a crafted USB device) to cause a denial of service (skb_over_panic).
CVE-2021-43818 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Lxml and 2 more 12 Debian Linux, Fedora, Lxml and 9 more 2026-06-17 6.8 MEDIUM 8.2 HIGH
lxml is a library for processing XML and HTML in the Python language. Prior to version 4.6.5, the HTML Cleaner in lxml.html lets certain crafted script content pass through, as well as script content in SVG files embedded using data URIs. Users that employ the HTML cleaner in a security relevant context should upgrade to lxml 4.6.5 to receive a patch. There are no known workarounds available.
CVE-2021-43616 3 Fedoraproject, Netapp, Npmjs 3 Fedora, Next Generation Application Programming Interface, Npm 2026-06-17 7.5 HIGH 9.0 CRITICAL
The npm ci command in npm 7.x and 8.x through 8.1.3 proceeds with an installation even if dependency information in package-lock.json differs from package.json. This behavior is inconsistent with the documentation, and makes it easier for attackers to install malware that was supposed to have been blocked by an exact version match requirement in package-lock.json. NOTE: The npm team believes this is not a vulnerability. It would require someone to socially engineer package.json which has different dependencies than package-lock.json. That user would have to have file system or write access to change dependencies. The npm team states preventing malicious actors from socially engineering or gaining file system access is outside the scope of the npm CLI.
CVE-2021-43527 4 Mozilla, Netapp, Oracle and 1 more 10 Nss, Nss Esr, Cloud Backup and 7 more 2026-06-17 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
NSS (Network Security Services) versions prior to 3.73 or 3.68.1 ESR are vulnerable to a heap overflow when handling DER-encoded DSA or RSA-PSS signatures. Applications using NSS for handling signatures encoded within CMS, S/MIME, PKCS \#7, or PKCS \#12 are likely to be impacted. Applications using NSS for certificate validation or other TLS, X.509, OCSP or CRL functionality may be impacted, depending on how they configure NSS. *Note: This vulnerability does NOT impact Mozilla Firefox.* However, email clients and PDF viewers that use NSS for signature verification, such as Thunderbird, LibreOffice, Evolution and Evince are believed to be impacted. This vulnerability affects NSS < 3.73 and NSS < 3.68.1.
CVE-2021-43267 3 Fedoraproject, Linux, Netapp 16 Fedora, Linux Kernel, H300e and 13 more 2026-06-17 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
An issue was discovered in net/tipc/crypto.c in the Linux kernel before 5.14.16. The Transparent Inter-Process Communication (TIPC) functionality allows remote attackers to exploit insufficient validation of user-supplied sizes for the MSG_CRYPTO message type.
CVE-2021-43057 2 Linux, Netapp 17 Linux Kernel, H300e, H300e Firmware and 14 more 2026-06-17 7.2 HIGH 7.8 HIGH
An issue was discovered in the Linux kernel before 5.14.8. A use-after-free in selinux_ptrace_traceme (aka the SELinux handler for PTRACE_TRACEME) could be used by local attackers to cause memory corruption and escalate privileges, aka CID-a3727a8bac0a. This occurs because of an attempt to access the subjective credentials of another task.
CVE-2021-42550 4 Netapp, Qos, Redhat and 1 more 6 Cloud Manager, Service Level Manager, Snap Creator Framework and 3 more 2026-06-17 8.5 HIGH 6.6 MEDIUM
In logback version 1.2.7 and prior versions, an attacker with the required privileges to edit configurations files could craft a malicious configuration allowing to execute arbitrary code loaded from LDAP servers.
