| CVE-2023-52880 | 2 Debian, Linux | 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2026-08-04 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tty: n_gsm: require CAP_NET_ADMIN to attach N_GSM0710 ldisc Any unprivileged user can attach N_GSM0710 ldisc, but it requires CAP_NET_ADMIN to create a GSM network anyway. Require initial namespace CAP_NET_ADMIN to do that. | |||||
| CVE-2023-52691 | 2 Debian, Linux | 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2026-08-04 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/pm: fix a double-free in si_dpm_init When the allocation of adev->pm.dpm.dyn_state.vddc_dependency_on_dispclk.entries fails, amdgpu_free_extended_power_table is called to free some fields of adev. However, when the control flow returns to si_dpm_sw_init, it goes to label dpm_failed and calls si_dpm_fini, which calls amdgpu_free_extended_power_table again and free those fields again. Thus a double-free is triggered. | |||||
| CVE-2023-52679 | 2 Debian, Linux | 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2026-08-04 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: of: Fix double free in of_parse_phandle_with_args_map In of_parse_phandle_with_args_map() the inner loop that iterates through the map entries calls of_node_put(new) to free the reference acquired by the previous iteration of the inner loop. This assumes that the value of "new" is NULL on the first iteration of the inner loop. Make sure that this is true in all iterations of the outer loop by setting "new" to NULL after its value is assigned to "cur". Extend the unittest to detect the double free and add an additional test case that actually triggers this path. | |||||
| CVE-2023-52669 | 2 Debian, Linux | 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2026-08-04 | N/A | 8.2 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: s390/aes - Fix buffer overread in CTR mode When processing the last block, the s390 ctr code will always read a whole block, even if there isn't a whole block of data left. Fix this by using the actual length left and copy it into a buffer first for processing. | |||||
| CVE-2023-52656 | 2 Debian, Linux | 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2026-08-04 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring: drop any code related to SCM_RIGHTS This is dead code after we dropped support for passing io_uring fds over SCM_RIGHTS, get rid of it. | |||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: lib/mpi - Fix unexpected pointer access in mpi_ec_init When the mpi_ec_ctx structure is initialized, some fields are not cleared, causing a crash when referencing the field when the structure was released. Initially, this issue was ignored because memory for mpi_ec_ctx is allocated with the __GFP_ZERO flag. For example, this error will be triggered when calculating the Za value for SM2 separately. | |||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: target: Fix WRITE_SAME No Data Buffer crash In newer version of the SBC specs, we have a NDOB bit that indicates there is no data buffer that gets written out. If this bit is set using commands like "sg_write_same --ndob" we will crash in target_core_iblock/file's execute_write_same handlers when we go to access the se_cmd->t_data_sg because its NULL. This patch adds a check for the NDOB bit in the common WRITE SAME code because we don't support it. And, it adds a check for zero SG elements in each handler in case the initiator tries to send a normal WRITE SAME with no data buffer. | |||||

| A flaw in the processing of received ICMP errors (ICMP fragment needed and ICMP redirect) in the Linux kernel functionality was found to allow the ability to quickly scan open UDP ports. This flaw allows an off-path remote user to effectively bypass the source port UDP randomization. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to confidentiality and possibly integrity, because software that relies on UDP source port randomization are indirectly affected as well. | |||||

| A race condition in Linux kernel SCTP sockets (net/sctp/socket.c) before 5.12-rc8 can lead to kernel privilege escalation from the context of a network service or an unprivileged process. If sctp_destroy_sock is called without sock_net(sk)->sctp.addr_wq_lock then an element is removed from the auto_asconf_splist list without any proper locking. This can be exploited by an attacker with network service privileges to escalate to root or from the context of an unprivileged user directly if a BPF_CGROUP_INET_SOCK_CREATE is attached which denies creation of some SCTP socket. | |||||

| A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter: nf_tables component can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation. Due to a race condition between nf_tables netlink control plane transaction and nft_set element garbage collection, it is possible to underflow the reference counter causing a use-after-free vulnerability. We recommend upgrading past commit 3e91b0ebd994635df2346353322ac51ce84ce6d8. | |||||
| CVE-2025-38670 | 2 Debian, Linux | 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2026-07-30 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: arm64/entry: Mask DAIF in cpu_switch_to(), call_on_irq_stack() `cpu_switch_to()` and `call_on_irq_stack()` manipulate SP to change to different stacks along with the Shadow Call Stack if it is enabled. Those two stack changes cannot be done atomically and both functions can be interrupted by SErrors or Debug Exceptions which, though unlikely, is very much broken : if interrupted, we can end up with mismatched stacks and Shadow Call Stack leading to clobbered stacks. In `cpu_switch_to()`, it can happen when SP_EL0 points to the new task, but x18 stills points to the old task's SCS. When the interrupt handler tries to save the task's SCS pointer, it will save the old task SCS pointer (x18) into the new task struct (pointed to by SP_EL0), clobbering it. In `call_on_irq_stack()`, it can happen when switching from the task stack to the IRQ stack and when switching back. In both cases, we can be interrupted when the SCS pointer points to the IRQ SCS, but SP points to the task stack. The nested interrupt handler pushes its return addresses on the IRQ SCS. It then detects that SP points to the task stack, calls `call_on_irq_stack()` and clobbers the task SCS pointer with the IRQ SCS pointer, which it will also use ! This leads to tasks returning to addresses on the wrong SCS, or even on the IRQ SCS, triggering kernel panics via CONFIG_VMAP_STACK or FPAC if enabled. This is possible on a default config, but unlikely. However, when enabling CONFIG_ARM64_PSEUDO_NMI, DAIF is unmasked and instead the GIC is responsible for filtering what interrupts the CPU should receive based on priority. Given the goal of emulating NMIs, pseudo-NMIs can be received by the CPU even in `cpu_switch_to()` and `call_on_irq_stack()`, possibly *very* frequently depending on the system configuration and workload, leading to unpredictable kernel panics. Completely mask DAIF in `cpu_switch_to()` and restore it when returning. Do the same in `call_on_irq_stack()`, but restore and mask around the branch. Mask DAIF even if CONFIG_SHADOW_CALL_STACK is not enabled for consistency of behaviour between all configurations. Introduce and use an assembly macro for saving and masking DAIF, as the existing one saves but only masks IF. | |||||
