CVE-2023-28321 5 Apple, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more 14 Macos, Debian Linux, Fedora and 11 more 2026-10-23 N/A 5.9 MEDIUM
An improper certificate validation vulnerability exists in curl <v8.1.0 in the way it supports matching of wildcard patterns when listed as "Subject Alternative Name" in TLS server certificates. curl can be built to use its own name matching function for TLS rather than one provided by a TLS library. This private wildcard matching function would match IDN (International Domain Name) hosts incorrectly and could as a result accept patterns that otherwise should mismatch. IDN hostnames are converted to puny code before used for certificate checks. Puny coded names always start with `xn--` and should not be allowed to pattern match, but the wildcard check in curl could still check for `x*`, which would match even though the IDN name most likely contained nothing even resembling an `x`.
CVE-2023-23916 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Haxx and 2 more 13 Debian Linux, Fedora, Curl and 10 more 2026-10-23 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
An allocation of resources without limits or throttling vulnerability exists in curl <v7.88.0 based on the "chained" HTTP compression algorithms, meaning that a server response can be compressed multiple times and potentially with differentalgorithms. The number of acceptable "links" in this "decompression chain" wascapped, but the cap was implemented on a per-header basis allowing a maliciousserver to insert a virtually unlimited number of compression steps simply byusing many headers. The use of such a decompression chain could result in a "malloc bomb", making curl end up spending enormous amounts of allocated heap memory, or trying to and returning out of memory errors.
CVE-2023-27536 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Haxx and 2 more 14 Debian Linux, Fedora, Libcurl and 11 more 2026-10-23 N/A 5.9 MEDIUM
An authentication bypass vulnerability exists libcurl <8.0.0 in the connection reuse feature which can reuse previously established connections with incorrect user permissions due to a failure to check for changes in the CURLOPT_GSSAPI_DELEGATION option. This vulnerability affects krb5/kerberos/negotiate/GSSAPI transfers and could potentially result in unauthorized access to sensitive information. The safest option is to not reuse connections if the CURLOPT_GSSAPI_DELEGATION option has been changed.
CVE-2023-37207 2 Debian, Mozilla 4 Debian Linux, Firefox, Firefox Esr and 1 more 2026-10-23 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
A website could have obscured the fullscreen notification by using a URL with a scheme handled by an external program, such as a mailto URL. This could have led to user confusion and possible spoofing attacks. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 115, Firefox ESR < 102.13, and Thunderbird < 102.13.
CVE-2023-4050 2 Debian, Mozilla 2 Debian Linux, Firefox 2026-10-23 N/A 7.5 HIGH
In some cases, an untrusted input stream was copied to a stack buffer without checking its size. This resulted in a potentially exploitable crash which could have led to a sandbox escape. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 116, Firefox ESR < 102.14, and Firefox ESR < 115.1.
CVE-2023-4049 2 Debian, Mozilla 2 Debian Linux, Firefox 2026-10-23 N/A 5.9 MEDIUM
Race conditions in reference counting code were found through code inspection. These could have resulted in potentially exploitable use-after-free vulnerabilities. This vulnerability affects Firefox < 116, Firefox ESR < 102.14, and Firefox ESR < 115.1.
CVE-2023-6915 3 Debian, Linux, Redhat 24 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel, Codeready Linux Builder and 21 more 2026-10-23 N/A 6.2 MEDIUM
A Null pointer dereference problem was found in ida_free in lib/idr.c in the Linux Kernel. This issue may allow an attacker using this library to cause a denial of service problem due to a missing check at a function return.
CVE-2025-26465 4 Debian, Netapp, Openbsd and 1 more 6 Debian Linux, Active Iq Unified Manager, Ontap and 3 more 2026-10-21 N/A 6.8 MEDIUM
A vulnerability was found in OpenSSH when the VerifyHostKeyDNS option is enabled. A machine-in-the-middle attack can be performed by a malicious machine impersonating a legit server. This issue occurs due to how OpenSSH mishandles error codes in specific conditions when verifying the host key. For an attack to be considered successful, the attacker needs to manage to exhaust the client's memory resource first, turning the attack complexity high.
CVE-2025-26466 3 Canonical, Debian, Openbsd 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Openssh 2026-10-21 N/A 5.9 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in the OpenSSH package. For each ping packet the SSH server receives, a pong packet is allocated in a memory buffer and stored in a queue of packages. It is only freed when the server/client key exchange has finished. A malicious client may keep sending such packages, leading to an uncontrolled increase in memory consumption on the server side. Consequently, the server may become unavailable, resulting in a denial of service attack.
CVE-2025-39923 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dmaengine: qcom: bam_dma: Fix DT error handling for num-channels/ees When we don't have a clock specified in the device tree, we have no way to ensure the BAM is on. This is often the case for remotely-controlled or remotely-powered BAM instances. In this case, we need to read num-channels from the DT to have all the necessary information to complete probing. However, at the moment invalid device trees without clock and without num-channels still continue probing, because the error handling is missing return statements. The driver will then later try to read the number of channels from the registers. This is unsafe, because it relies on boot firmware and lucky timing to succeed. Unfortunately, the lack of proper error handling here has been abused for several Qualcomm SoCs upstream, causing early boot crashes in several situations [1, 2]. Avoid these early crashes by erroring out when any of the required DT properties are missing. Note that this will break some of the existing DTs upstream (mainly BAM instances related to the crypto engine). However, clearly these DTs have never been tested properly, since the error in the kernel log was just ignored. It's safer to disable the crypto engine for these broken DTBs. CVE-2025-39738 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 N/A 7.3 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: do not allow relocation of partially dropped subvolumes [BUG] There is an internal report that balance triggered transaction abort, with the following call trace: item 85 key (594509824 169 0) itemoff 12599 itemsize 33 extent refs 1 gen 197740 flags 2 ref#0: tree block backref root 7 item 86 key (594558976 169 0) itemoff 12566 itemsize 33 extent refs 1 gen 197522 flags 2 ref#0: tree block backref root 7 ... BTRFS error (device loop0): extent item not found for insert, bytenr 594526208 num_bytes 16384 parent 449921024 root_objectid 934 owner 1 offset 0 BTRFS error (device loop0): failed to run delayed ref for logical 594526208 num_bytes 16384 type 182 action 1 ref_mod 1: -117 ------------[ cut here ]------------ BTRFS: Transaction aborted (error -117) WARNING: CPU: 1 PID: 6963 at ../fs/btrfs/extent-tree.c:2168 btrfs_run_delayed_refs+0xfa/0x110 [btrfs] And btrfs check doesn't report anything wrong related to the extent tree. [CAUSE] The cause is a little complex, firstly the extent tree indeed doesn't have the backref for 594526208. The extent tree only have the following two backrefs around that bytenr on-disk: item 65 key (594509824 METADATA_ITEM 0) itemoff 13880 itemsize 33 refs 1 gen 197740 flags TREE_BLOCK tree block skinny level 0 (176 0x7) tree block backref root CSUM_TREE item 66 key (594558976 METADATA_ITEM 0) itemoff 13847 itemsize 33 refs 1 gen 197522 flags TREE_BLOCK tree block skinny level 0 (176 0x7) tree block backref root CSUM_TREE But the such missing backref item is not an corruption on disk, as the offending delayed ref belongs to subvolume 934, and that subvolume is being dropped: item 0 key (934 ROOT_ITEM 198229) itemoff 15844 itemsize 439 generation 198229 root_dirid 256 bytenr 10741039104 byte_limit 0 bytes_used 345571328 last_snapshot 198229 flags 0x1000000000001(RDONLY) refs 0 drop_progress key (206324 EXTENT_DATA 2711650304) drop_level 2 level 2 generation_v2 198229 And that offending tree block 594526208 is inside the dropped range of that subvolume. That explains why there is no backref item for that bytenr and why btrfs check is not reporting anything wrong. But this also shows another problem, as btrfs will do all the orphan subvolume cleanup at a read-write mount. So half-dropped subvolume should not exist after an RW mount, and balance itself is also exclusive to subvolume cleanup, meaning we shouldn't hit a subvolume half-dropped during relocation. The root cause is, there is no orphan item for this subvolume. In fact there are 5 subvolumes from around 2021 that have the same problem. It looks like the original report has some older kernels running, and caused those zombie subvolumes. Thankfully upstream commit 8d488a8c7ba2 ("btrfs: fix subvolume/snapshot deletion not triggered on mount") has long fixed the bug. [ENHANCEMENT] For repairing such old fs, btrfs-progs will be enhanced. Considering how delayed the problem will show up (at run delayed ref time) and at that time we have to abort transaction already, it is too late. Instead here we reject any half-dropped subvolume for reloc tree at the earliest time, preventing confusion and extra time wasted on debugging similar bugs.
CVE-2025-68615 2 Debian, Net-snmp 2 Debian Linux, Net-snmp 2026-10-19 N/A 9.8 CRITICAL
net-snmp is a SNMP application library, tools and daemon. Prior to versions 5.9.5 and 5.10.pre2, a specially crafted packet to an net-snmp snmptrapd daemon can cause a buffer overflow and the daemon to crash. This issue has been patched in versions 5.9.5 and 5.10.pre2.
CVE-2025-38697 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 N/A 7.8 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: jfs: upper bound check of tree index in dbAllocAG When computing the tree index in dbAllocAG, we never check if we are out of bounds realative to the size of the stree. This could happen in a scenario where the filesystem metadata are corrupted.
CVE-2025-39826 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 N/A 8.8 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: rose: convert 'use' field to refcount_t The 'use' field in struct rose_neigh is used as a reference counter but lacks atomicity. This can lead to race conditions where a rose_neigh structure is freed while still being referenced by other code paths. For example, when rose_neigh->use becomes zero during an ioctl operation via rose_rt_ioctl(), the structure may be removed while its timer is still active, potentially causing use-after-free issues. This patch changes the type of 'use' from unsigned short to refcount_t and updates all code paths to use rose_neigh_hold() and rose_neigh_put() which operate reference counts atomically.
CVE-2025-39772 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/hisilicon/hibmc: fix the hibmc loaded failed bug When hibmc loaded failed, the driver use hibmc_unload to free the resource, but the mutexes in mode.config are not init, which will access an NULL pointer. Just change goto statement to return, because hibnc_hw_init() doesn't need to free anything.
CVE-2025-38694 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: dvb-frontends: dib7090p: fix null-ptr-deref in dib7090p_rw_on_apb() In dib7090p_rw_on_apb, msg is controlled by user. When msg[0].buf is null and msg[0].len is zero, former checks on msg[0].buf would be passed. If accessing msg[0].buf[2] without sanity check, null pointer deref would happen. We add check on msg[0].len to prevent crash. Similar issue occurs when access msg[1].buf[0] and msg[1].buf[1]. Similar commit: commit 0ed554fd769a ("media: dvb-usb: az6027: fix null-ptr-deref in az6027_i2c_xfer()")
CVE-2025-39873 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 N/A 7.8 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: xilinx_can: xcan_write_frame(): fix use-after-free of transmitted SKB can_put_echo_skb() takes ownership of the SKB and it may be freed during or after the call. However, xilinx_can xcan_write_frame() keeps using SKB after the call. Fix that by only calling can_put_echo_skb() after the code is done touching the SKB. The tx_lock is held for the entire xcan_write_frame() execution and also on the can_get_echo_skb() side so the order of operations does not matter. An earlier fix commit 3d3c817c3a40 ("can: xilinx_can: Fix usage of skb memory") did not move the can_put_echo_skb() call far enough. [mkl: add "commit" in front of sha1 in patch description] [mkl: fix indention]
CVE-2025-39752 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ARM: rockchip: fix kernel hang during smp initialization In order to bring up secondary CPUs main CPU write trampoline code to SRAM. The trampoline code is written while secondary CPUs are powered on (at least that true for RK3188 CPU). Sometimes that leads to kernel hang. Probably because secondary CPU execute trampoline code while kernel doesn't expect. The patch moves SRAM initialization step to the point where all secondary CPUs are powered down. That fixes rarely hangs on RK3188: [ 0.091568] CPU0: thread -1, cpu 0, socket 0, mpidr 80000000 [ 0.091996] rockchip_smp_prepare_cpus: ncores 4
CVE-2025-39913 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 N/A 7.8 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp_bpf: Call sk_msg_free() when tcp_bpf_send_verdict() fails to allocate psock->cork. syzbot reported the splat below. [0] The repro does the following: 1. Load a sk_msg prog that calls bpf_msg_cork_bytes(msg, cork_bytes) 2. Attach the prog to a SOCKMAP 3. Add a socket to the SOCKMAP 4. Activate fault injection 5. Send data less than cork_bytes At 5., the data is carried over to the next sendmsg() as it is smaller than the cork_bytes specified by bpf_msg_cork_bytes(). Then, tcp_bpf_send_verdict() tries to allocate psock->cork to hold the data, but this fails silently due to fault injection + __GFP_NOWARN. If the allocation fails, we need to revert the sk->sk_forward_alloc change done by sk_msg_alloc(). Let's call sk_msg_free() when tcp_bpf_send_verdict fails to allocate psock->cork. The "*copied" also needs to be updated such that a proper error can be returned to the caller, sendmsg. It fails to allocate psock->cork. Nothing has been corked so far, so this patch simply sets "*copied" to 0. Let tr->filtered_pids owns one pid and register sched_switch tracepoint. 2. echo ' ' >> set_event_pid, and perform fault injection during chunk allocation of trace_pid_list_alloc. Let pid_list with no pid and assign to tr->filtered_pids. 3. echo ' ' >> set_event_pid. Let pid_list is NULL and assign to tr->filtered_pids. 4. echo 9 >> set_event_pid, will trigger the double register sched_switch tracepoint warning. The reason is that syzkaller injects a fault into the chunk allocation in trace_pid_list_alloc, causing a failure in trace_pid_list_set, which may trigger double register of the same tracepoint. This only occurs when the system is about to crash, but to suppress this warning, let's add failure handling logic to trace_pid_list_set.
