| CVE-2026-57819 | 1 Apache | 1 Cxf | 2026-08-07 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| Apache CXF allows to set a limit on the number of form parameters in a JAX-RS message via the "maxFormParameterCount" configuration option. However, no default limit is set which may lead to denial of service attacks when processing requests with very large numbers of form parameters. Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 4.2.3 or 4.1.8 or 3.6.12, which fix this issue by using a default limit of 500 parameters. | |||||
| CVE-2026-57818 | 1 Apache | 1 Cxf | 2026-08-07 | N/A | 8.1 HIGH |
| A race condition in JCacheCodeDataProvider allows an attacker to redeem a single authorization code multiple times via concurrent requests, resulting in the issuance of multiple distinct, valid access tokens. Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 4.2.3, 4.1.8 or 3.6.12, which fix this issue. | |||||
| CVE-2026-54225 | 1 Apache | 1 Cxf | 2026-08-07 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| Apache CXF allows to control the maximum attachment size via the "attachment-max-size". Prior to Apache CXF 4.2.3 and 4.1.8 and 3.6.12, there was no default placed on this size, meaning that a denial of service attack is possible if the user doesn't explicitly set the limit. Users should update to Apache CXF 4.2.3 or 4.1.8 or 3.6.12 which fixes this problem by imposing a default attachment size limit of 50mb. | |||||
| CVE-2026-64958 | 1 Apache | 1 Cxf | 2026-08-06 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| An incomplete fix for CVE-2026-50645 means that it is still possible to perform a denial of service attack on Apache CXF by sending a message with many attachment headers. Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 4.2.3 or 4.1.8 or 3.6.12, which fix this issue. | |||||
| CVE-2026-44417 | 1 Apache | 1 Cxf | 2026-07-23 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| The fix for CVE-2025-48913: Apache CXF: Untrusted JMS configuration can lead to RCE was not complete, meaning that another path in the code might lead to code execution capabilities, if untrusted users are allowed to configure JMS for Apache CXF. Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 4.2.1, 4.1.6 or 3.6.11, which fix this issue. | |||||
| CVE-2026-44618 | 1 Apache | 1 Cxf | 2026-07-23 | N/A | 5.3 MEDIUM |
| Insecure XML parser configuration in Apache CXF's WS-Transfer module may allow attackers to perform XXE attacks. Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 4.2.1, 4.1.6 or 3.6.11, which fix this issue. | |||||
| CVE-2026-44930 | 1 Apache | 1 Cxf | 2026-07-23 | N/A | 9.8 CRITICAL |
| An LDAP injection vulnerability in the LDAP Certificate repository of the XKMS server in Apache CXF may allow an attacker to retrieve arbitrary certificates from the repository. Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 4.2.1, 4.1.6 or 3.6.11, which fix this issue. | |||||
| CVE-2025-48913 | 1 Apache | 1 Cxf | 2026-06-17 | N/A | 9.8 CRITICAL |
| If untrusted users are allowed to configure JMS for Apache CXF, previously they could use RMI or LDAP URLs, potentially leading to code execution capabilities. This interface is now restricted to reject those protocols, removing this possibility. Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 3.6.8, 4.0.9 or 4.1.3, which fix this issue. | |||||
| CVE-2025-48795 | 1 Apache | 1 Cxf | 2026-06-17 | N/A | 5.6 MEDIUM |
| Apache CXF stores large stream based messages as temporary files on the local filesystem. A bug was introduced which means that the entire temporary file is read into memory and then logged. An attacker might be able to exploit this to cause a denial of service attack by causing an out of memory exception. In addition, it is possible to configure CXF to encrypt temporary files to prevent sensitive credentials from being cached unencrypted on the local filesystem, however this bug means that the cached files are written out to logs unencrypted. Users are recommended to upgrade to versions 3.5.11, 3.6.6, 4.0.7 or 4.1.1, which fixes this issue. | |||||
| CVE-2025-23184 | 1 Apache | 1 Cxf | 2026-06-17 | N/A | 5.9 MEDIUM |
| A potential denial of service vulnerability is present in versions of Apache CXF before 3.5.10, 3.6.5 and 4.0.6. In some edge cases, the CachedOutputStream instances may not be closed and, if backed by temporary files, may fill up the file system (it applies to servers and clients). | |||||
| CVE-2024-41172 | 1 Apache | 1 Cxf | 2026-06-17 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| In versions of Apache CXF before 3.6.4 and 4.0.5 (3.5.x and lower versions are not impacted), a CXF HTTP client conduit may prevent HTTPClient instances from being garbage collected and it is possible that memory consumption will continue to increase, eventually causing the application to run out of memory | |||||
| CVE-2024-32007 | 1 Apache | 1 Cxf | 2026-06-17 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| An improper input validation of the p2c parameter in the Apache CXF JOSE code before 4.0.5, 3.6.4 and 3.5.9 allows an attacker to perform a denial of service attack by specifying a large value for this parameter in a token. | |||||
| CVE-2024-29736 | 1 Apache | 1 Cxf | 2026-06-17 | N/A | 9.1 CRITICAL |
| A SSRF vulnerability in WADL service description in versions of Apache CXF before 4.0.5, 3.6.4 and 3.5.9 allows an attacker to perform SSRF style attacks on REST webservices. The attack only applies if a custom stylesheet parameter is configured. | |||||
| CVE-2024-28752 | 2 Apache, Netapp | 3 Cxf, Oncommand Workflow Automation, Ontap Tools | 2026-06-17 | N/A | 9.3 CRITICAL |
| A SSRF vulnerability using the Aegis DataBinding in versions of Apache CXF before 4.0.4, 3.6.3 and 3.5.8 allows an attacker to perform SSRF style attacks on webservices that take at least one parameter of any type. Users of other data bindings (including the default databinding) are not impacted. | |||||
| CVE-2022-46364 | 1 Apache | 1 Cxf | 2026-06-17 | N/A | 9.8 CRITICAL |
| A SSRF vulnerability in parsing the href attribute of XOP:Include in MTOM requests in versions of Apache CXF before 3.5.5 and 3.4.10 allows an attacker to perform SSRF style attacks on webservices that take at least one parameter of any type. | |||||
| CVE-2022-46363 | 1 Apache | 1 Cxf | 2026-06-17 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| A vulnerability in Apache CXF before versions 3.5.5 and 3.4.10 allows an attacker to perform a remote directory listing or code exfiltration. The vulnerability only applies when the CXFServlet is configured with both the static-resources-list and redirect-query-check attributes. These attributes are not supposed to be used together, and so the vulnerability can only arise if the CXF service is misconfigured. | |||||
| CVE-2021-30468 | 2 Apache, Oracle | 5 Cxf, Tomee, Business Intelligence and 2 more | 2026-06-17 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
| A vulnerability in the JsonMapObjectReaderWriter of Apache CXF allows an attacker to submit malformed JSON to a web service, which results in the thread getting stuck in an infinite loop, consuming CPU indefinitely. This issue affects Apache CXF versions prior to 3.4.4; Apache CXF versions prior to 3.3.11. | |||||
| CVE-2021-22696 | 2 Apache, Oracle | 6 Cxf, Business Intelligence, Communications Diameter Intelligence Hub and 3 more | 2026-06-17 | 5.0 MEDIUM | 7.5 HIGH |
| CXF supports (via JwtRequestCodeFilter) passing OAuth 2 parameters via a JWT token as opposed to query parameters (see: The OAuth 2.0 Authorization Framework: JWT Secured Authorization Request (JAR)). Instead of sending a JWT token as a "request" parameter, the spec also supports specifying a URI from which to retrieve a JWT token from via the "request_uri" parameter. CXF was not validating the "request_uri" parameter (apart from ensuring it uses "https) and was making a REST request to the parameter in the request to retrieve a token. This means that CXF was vulnerable to DDos attacks on the authorization server, as specified in section 10.4.1 of the spec. This issue affects Apache CXF versions prior to 3.4.3; Apache CXF versions prior to 3.3.10. | |||||
| CVE-2020-1954 | 3 Apache, Netapp, Oracle | 10 Cxf, Oncommand Workflow Automation, Snapmanager and 7 more | 2026-06-17 | 2.9 LOW | 5.3 MEDIUM |
| Apache CXF has the ability to integrate with JMX by registering an InstrumentationManager extension with the CXF bus. If the ‘createMBServerConnectorFactory‘ property of the default InstrumentationManagerImpl is not disabled, then it is vulnerable to a man-in-the-middle (MITM) style attack. An attacker on the same host can connect to the registry and rebind the entry to another server, thus acting as a proxy to the original. They are then able to gain access to all of the information that is sent and received over JMX. | |||||
| CVE-2020-13954 | 3 Apache, Netapp, Oracle | 6 Cxf, Snap Creator Framework, Vasa Provider For Clustered Data Ontap and 3 more | 2026-06-17 | 4.3 MEDIUM | 6.1 MEDIUM |
| By default, Apache CXF creates a /services page containing a listing of the available endpoint names and addresses. This webpage is vulnerable to a reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attack via the styleSheetPath, which allows a malicious actor to inject javascript into the web page. This vulnerability affects all versions of Apache CXF prior to 3.4.1 and 3.3.8. Please note that this is a separate issue to CVE-2019-17573. | |||||
