CVE-2026-43346 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-17 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ice: ptp: don't WARN when controlling PF is unavailable In VFIO passthrough setups, it is possible to pass through only a PF which doesn't own the source timer. In that case the PTP controlling PF (adapter->ctrl_pf) is never initialized in the VM, so ice_get_ctrl_ptp() returns NULL and triggers WARN_ON() in ice_ptp_setup_pf(). Since this is an expected behavior in that configuration, replace WARN_ON() with an informational message and return -EOPNOTSUPP.
CVE-2026-43228 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-17 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hfs: Replace BUG_ON with error handling for CNID count checks In a06ec283e125 next_id, folder_count, and file_count in the super block info were expanded to 64 bits, and BUG_ONs were added to detect overflow. This triggered an error reported by syzbot: if the MDB is corrupted, the BUG_ON is triggered. This patch replaces this mechanism with proper error handling and resolves the syzbot reported bug. CVE-2026-43046 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-17 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: reject root items with drop_progress and zero drop_level [BUG] When recovering relocation at mount time, merge_reloc_root() and btrfs_drop_snapshot() both use BUG_ON(level == 0) to guard against an impossible state: a non-zero drop_progress combined with a zero drop_level in a root_item, which can be triggered: ------------[ cut here ]------------ kernel BUG at fs/btrfs/relocation.c:1545! [CAUSE] A non-zero drop_progress.objectid means an interrupted btrfs_drop_snapshot() left a resume point on disk, and in that case drop_level must be greater than 0 because the checkpoint is only saved at internal node levels. Although this invariant is enforced when the kernel writes the root item, it is not validated when the root item is read back from disk. That allows on-disk corruption to provide an invalid state with drop_progress.objectid != 0 and drop_level == 0. When relocation recovery later processes such a root item, merge_reloc_root() reads drop_level and hits BUG_ON(level == 0). The same invalid metadata can also trigger the corresponding BUG_ON() in btrfs_drop_snapshot(). [FIX] Fix this by validating the root_item invariant in tree-checker when reading root items from disk: if drop_progress.objectid is non-zero, drop_level must also be non-zero. Reject such malformed metadata with -EUCLEAN before it reaches merge_reloc_root() or btrfs_drop_snapshot() and triggers the BUG_ON. After the fix, the same corruption is correctly rejected by tree-checker and the BUG_ON is no longer triggered.
CVE-2026-41585 1 Zfnd 2 Zebra-rpc, Zebrad 2026-06-17 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
ZEBRA is a Zcash node written entirely in Rust. From zebrad versions 2.2.0 to before 4.3.1 and from zebra-rpc versions 1.0.0-beta.45 to before 6.0.2, a vulnerability in Zebra's JSON-RPC HTTP middleware allows an authenticated RPC client to cause a Zebra node to crash by disconnecting before the request body is fully received. The node treats the failure to read the HTTP request body as an unrecoverable error and aborts the process instead of returning an error response. This issue has been patched in zebrad version 4.3.1 and zebra-rpc version 6.0.2.
CVE-2026-41584 1 Zfnd 2 Zebra-chain, Zebrad 2026-06-17 N/A 7.5 HIGH
ZEBRA is a Zcash node written entirely in Rust. Prior to zebrad version 4.3.1 and prior to zebra-chain version 6.0.2, Orchard transactions contain a rk field which is a randomized validating key and also an elliptic curve point. The Zcash specification allows the field to be the identity (a "zero" value), however, the orchard crate which is used to verify Orchard proofs would panic when fed a rk with the identity value. Thus an attacker could send a crafted transaction that would make a Zebra node crash. This issue has been patched in zebrad version 4.3.1 and zebra-chain version 6.0.2.
CVE-2026-41485 1 Kyverno 1 Kyverno 2026-06-17 N/A 7.7 HIGH
Kyverno is a policy engine designed for cloud native platform engineering teams. Prior to versions 1.17.2 and 1.16.4, an unchecked type assertion in the `forEach` mutation handler allows any user with permission to create a `Policy` or `ClusterPolicy` to crash the cluster-wide background controller into a persistent CrashLoopBackOff. The same bug also causes the admission controller to drop connections and block all matching resource operations. The crash loop persists until the policy is deleted. The vulnerability is confined to the legacy engine, and CEL-based policies are unaffected. Versions 1.17.2 and 1.16.4 fix the issue.
CVE-2026-3119 1 Isc 1 Bind 2026-06-17 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
Under certain conditions, `named` may crash when processing a correctly signed query containing a TKEY record. The affected code can only be reached if an incoming request has a valid transaction signature (TSIG) from a key declared in the `named` configuration. This issue affects BIND 9 versions 9.20.0 through 9.20.20, 9.21.0 through 9.21.19, and 9.20.9-S1 through 9.20.20-S1. BIND 9 versions 9.18.0 through 9.18.46 and 9.18.11-S1 through 9.18.46-S1 are NOT affected.
CVE-2026-34069 1 Nimiq 1 Nimiq Proof-of-stake 2026-06-17 N/A 5.3 MEDIUM
nimiq/core-rs-albatross is a Rust implementation of the Nimiq Proof-of-Stake protocol based on the Albatross consensus algorithm. In versions 1.2.2 and below, an unauthenticated p2p peer can cause the RequestMacroChain message handler task to panic. Sending a RequestMacroChain message where the first locator hash on the victim’s main chain is a micro block hash (not a macro block hash) causes said panic. The RequestMacroChain::handle handler selects the locator based only on "is on main chain", then calls get_macro_blocks() and panics via .unwrap() when the selected hash is not a macro block (BlockchainError::BlockIsNotMacro). This issue has been fixed in version 1.3.0.
CVE-2026-34067 1 Nimiq 1 Nimiq Proof-of-stake 2026-06-17 N/A 3.1 LOW
nimiq-transaction provides the transaction primitive to be used in Nimiq's Rust implementation. Prior to version 1.3.0, `HistoryTreeProof::verify` panics on a malformed proof where `history.len() != positions.len()` due to `assert_eq!(history.len(), positions.len())`. The proof object is derived from untrusted p2p responses (`ResponseTransactionsProof.proof`) and is therefore attacker-controlled at the network boundary until validated. A malicious peer could trigger a crash by returning a crafted inclusion proof with a length mismatch. The patch for this vulnerability is included as part of v1.3.0. No known workarounds are available.
CVE-2026-34066 1 Nimiq 1 Nimiq Proof-of-stake 2026-06-17 N/A 5.3 MEDIUM
nimiq-blockchain provides persistent block storage for Nimiq's Rust implementation. Prior to version 1.3.0, `HistoryStore::put_historic_txns` uses an `assert!` to enforce invariants about `HistoricTransaction.block_number` (must be within the macro block being pushed and within the same epoch). During history sync, a peer can influence the `history: &[HistoricTransaction]` input passed into `Blockchain::push_history_sync`, and a malformed history list can violate these invariants and trigger a panic. `extend_history_sync` calls `this.history_store.add_to_history(..)` before comparing the computed history root against the macro block header (`block.history_root()`), so the panic can happen before later rejection checks run. The patch for this vulnerability is included as part of v1.3.0. No known workarounds are available.
CVE-2026-34063 1 Nimiq 1 Nimiq Proof-of-stake 2026-06-17 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Nimiq's network-libp2p is a Nimiq network implementation based on libp2p. Prior to version 1.3.0, `network-libp2p` discovery uses a libp2p `ConnectionHandler` state machine. the handler assumes there is at most one inbound and one outbound discovery substream per connection. if a remote peer opens/negotiate the discovery protocol substream a second time on the same connection, the handler hits a `panic!(\"Inbound already connected\")` / `panic!(\"Outbound already connected\")` path instead of failing closed. This causes a remote crash of the networking task (swarm), taking the node's p2p networking offline until restart. The patch for this vulnerability is formally released as part of v1.3.0. No known workarounds are available.
CVE-2026-33977 1 Freerdp 1 Freerdp 2026-06-17 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to version 3.24.2, a malicious RDP server can crash the FreeRDP client by sending audio data in IMA ADPCM format with an invalid initial step index value (>= 89). The unvalidated step index is read directly from the network and used to index into a 89-entry lookup table, triggering a WINPR_ASSERT() failure and process abort via SIGABRT. This affects any FreeRDP client that has audio redirection (RDPSND) enabled, which is the default configuration. This issue has been patched in version 3.24.2.
CVE-2026-33952 1 Freerdp 1 Freerdp 2026-06-17 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to version 3.24.2, an unvalidated auth_length field read from the network triggers a WINPR_ASSERT() failure in rts_read_auth_verifier_no_checks(), causing any FreeRDP client connecting through a malicious RDP Gateway to crash with SIGABRT. This is a pre-authentication denial of service affecting all FreeRDP clients using RPC-over-HTTP gateway transport. The assertion is active in default release builds (WITH_VERBOSE_WINPR_ASSERT=ON). This issue has been patched in version 3.24.2.
CVE-2026-31739 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-17 N/A 8.8 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: tegra - Add missing CRYPTO_ALG_ASYNC The tegra crypto driver failed to set the CRYPTO_ALG_ASYNC on its asynchronous algorithms, causing the crypto API to select them for users that request only synchronous algorithms. This causes crashes (at least). Fix this by adding the flag like what the other drivers do. Also remove the unnecessary CRYPTO_ALG_TYPE_* flags, since those just get ignored and overridden by the registration function anyway.
CVE-2026-31567 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-17 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: PM: sleep: Drop spurious WARN_ON() from pm_restore_gfp_mask() Commit 35e4a69b2003f ("PM: sleep: Allow pm_restrict_gfp_mask() stacking") introduced refcount-based GFP mask management that warns when pm_restore_gfp_mask() is called with saved_gfp_count == 0. Some hibernation paths call pm_restore_gfp_mask() defensively where the GFP mask may or may not be restricted depending on the execution path. For example, the uswsusp interface invokes it in SNAPSHOT_CREATE_IMAGE, SNAPSHOT_UNFREEZE, and snapshot_release(). Before the stacking change this was a silent no-op; it now triggers a spurious WARNING. Remove the WARN_ON() wrapper from the !saved_gfp_count check while retaining the check itself, so that defensive calls remain harmless without producing false warnings. [ rjw: Subject tweak ]
CVE-2026-31398 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-17 N/A 7.8 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/rmap: fix incorrect pte restoration for lazyfree folios We batch unmap anonymous lazyfree folios by folio_unmap_pte_batch. If the batch has a mix of writable and non-writable bits, we may end up setting the entire batch writable. Fix this by respecting writable bit during batching. Although on a successful unmap of a lazyfree folio, the soft-dirty bit is lost, preserve it on pte restoration by respecting the bit during batching, to make the fix consistent w.r.t both writable bit and soft-dirty bit. I was able to write the below reproducer and crash the kernel. Explanation of reproducer (set 64K mTHP to always): Fault in a 64K large folio. Split the VMA at mid-point with MADV_DONTFORK. fork() - parent points to the folio with 8 writable ptes and 8 non-writable ptes. Merge the VMAs with MADV_DOFORK so that folio_unmap_pte_batch() can determine all the 16 ptes as a batch. Do MADV_FREE on the range to mark the folio as lazyfree. Write to the memory to dirty the pte, eventually rmap will dirty the folio. Then trigger reclaim, we will hit the pte restoration path, and the kernel will crash with the trace given below. The BUG happens at: BUG_ON(atomic_inc_return(&ptc->anon_map_count) > 1 && rw); The code path is asking for anonymous page to be mapped writable into the pagetable. The BUG_ON() firing implies that such a writable page has been mapped into the pagetables of more than one process, which breaks anonymous memory/CoW semantics. CVE-2026-30867 2 Apple, Emqx 3 Iphone Os, Macos, Cocoamqtt 2026-06-17 N/A 5.7 MEDIUM
CocoaMQTT is a MQTT 5.0 client library for iOS and macOS written in Swift. Prior to version 2.2.2, a vulnerability exists in the packet parsing logic of CocoaMQTT that allows an attacker (or a compromised/malicious MQTT broker) to remotely crash the host iOS/macOS/tvOS application. If an attacker publishes the 4-byte malformed payload to a shared topic with the RETAIN flag set to true, the MQTT broker will persist the payload. Any time a vulnerable client connects and subscribes to that topic, the broker will automatically push the malformed packet. The app will instantly crash in the background before the user can even interact with it. This effectively "bricks" the mobile application (a persistent DoS) until the retained message is manually wiped from the broker database. This issue has been patched in version 2.2.2.
CVE-2026-2523 1 Open5gs 1 Open5gs 2026-06-17 5.0 MEDIUM 5.3 MEDIUM
A vulnerability was detected in Open5GS up to 2.7.6. The affected element is the function smf_gn_handle_create_pdp_context_request of the file /src/smf/gn-handler.c of the component SMF. The manipulation results in reachable assertion. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit is now public and may be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
CVE-2026-27809 1 Psd-tools Project 1 Psd-tools 2026-06-17 N/A 9.1 CRITICAL
psd-tools is a Python package for working with Adobe Photoshop PSD files. Prior to version 1.12.2, when a PSD file contains malformed RLE-compressed image data (e.g. a literal run that extends past the expected row size), decode_rle() raises ValueError which propagated all the way to the user, crashing psd.composite() and psd-tools export. decompress() already had a fallback that replaces failed channels with black pixels when result is None, but it never triggered because the ValueError from decode_rle() was not caught. The fix in version 1.12.2 wraps the decode_rle() call in a try/except so the existing fallback handles the error gracefully.
CVE-2026-27015 1 Freerdp 1 Freerdp 2026-06-17 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to version 3.23.0, a missing bounds check in `smartcard_unpack_read_size_align()` (`libfreerdp/utils/smartcard_pack.c:1703`) allows a malicious RDP server to crash the FreeRDP client via a reachable `WINPR_ASSERT` → `abort()`. The crash occurs in upstream builds where `WITH_VERBOSE_WINPR_ASSERT=ON` (default in FreeRDP 3.22.0 / current WinPR CMake defaults). Smartcard redirection must be explicitly enabled by the user (e.g., `xfreerdp /smartcard`; `/smartcard-logon` implies `/smartcard`). Version 3.23.0 fixes the issue.
