CVE-2026-37229 1 Mosaic5g 1 Flexric 2026-07-22 N/A 7.5 HIGH
FlexRIC v2.0.0 contains a reachable assertion in e2ap_create_pdu() triggered when ASN.1 PER decoding fails. A remote unauthenticated attacker can send any non-PER byte sequence (e.g., a single 0x00 byte) over SCTP to the near-RT RIC (port 36421) or iApp (port 36422) to crash the process via SIGABRT. The assertion is reached before any protocol-level validation occurs. All three E2AP protocol versions (v1.01, v2.03, v3.01) are affected.
CVE-2026-37222 2026-07-22 N/A 7.5 HIGH
FlexRIC v2.0.0 uses hardcoded assertions to validate Information Element (IE) counts in decoded E2AP messages. A remote unauthenticated attacker can send a valid E2AP PDU containing an unexpected number of IEs (e.g., an E2setupRequest with extra optional fields) to crash the near-RT RIC (port 36421) or iApp (port 36422) via SIGABRT. The code asserts exact IE counts rather than validating against protocol-specified ranges.
CVE-2026-37224 2026-07-22 N/A 7.5 HIGH
FlexRIC v2.0.0 crashes when receiving a duplicate E2_SETUP_REQUEST from the same or spoofed E2 Node. The iApp registry enforces node ID uniqueness via assert() rather than graceful rejection. A remote unauthenticated attacker can crash the iApp process (port 36421) by sending two E2_SETUP_REQUESTs with the same E2 node configuration, triggering SIGABRT.
CVE-2026-10651 1 Zephyrproject 1 Zephyr 2026-07-17 N/A 7.1 HIGH
bt_sdp_parse_attribute() in subsys/bluetooth/host/classic/sdp.c validated only that the SDP record buffer held the type-marker byte plus the 2-byte attribute ID (a check of buf->len < 3) but then read a fourth byte, the data-element descriptor (type), via net_buf_simple_pull_u8(). Because net_buf_simple_pull_u8() dereferences buf->data[0] before its only bounds guard (an __ASSERT_NO_MSG that compiles out when CONFIG_ASSERT is disabled, the production default), a record of exactly three bytes (0x09 followed by a 2-byte attribute ID) causes a one-byte read past the end of the logical buffer. The parser is reachable from inbound, remote-controlled data: a Bluetooth BR/EDR peer acting as an SDP server returns discovery-response records that are stored verbatim in the client receive buffer and parsed via the public bt_sdp_get_attr()/bt_sdp_has_attr()/bt_sdp_record_parse() helpers. The over-read is bounded to a single byte that is used only as an internal length selector and is never leaked to the attacker; subsequent length checks then reject the malformed record. Realistic impact is therefore limited to an edge-case denial of service (a fault only if the record ends exactly at a mapped-memory boundary, or a deterministic assert panic when CONFIG_ASSERT=y). Affects Zephyr v4.3.0 and v4.4.0; fixed by adding sizeof(type) to the length check.
CVE-2025-56365 1 Csa-iot 1 Matter 2026-07-17 N/A 7.5 HIGH
A reachable assertion vulnerability exists in the Matter SDK (connectedhomeip) before 1.4.0, in the interaction model command processing logic. When an InvokeCommandRequest is sent to a nonexistent endpoint and cluster (e.g., 0x34), the code incorrectly treats the endpoint as valid due to missing checks in CodegenDataModelProvider::Invoke. This causes a VerifyOrDie failure in ProcessCommandDataIB and results in a crash (SIGABRT). The issue has been acknowledged and fixed in a later revision (PR #37207).
CVE-2025-56361 1 Csa-iot 1 Matter 2026-07-17 N/A 7.5 HIGH
A reachable assertion vulnerability exists in the Matter SDK (connectedhomeip) 1.3 thru 1.4, specifically within the Level Control cluster's server tick logic (`emberAfLevelControlClusterServerTickCallback`). When a MoveToLevel command is executed and followed by a conflicting write to the OperationMode attribute (in the Pump Configuration and Control cluster), an invariant check (`minLevel < currentLevel`) fails and causes the device to abort. This leads to a denial of service condition. The issue is confirmed in SDK versions 1.3 and 1.4 (commit ab3d5ae), and is triggered remotely without authentication.
CVE-2025-56362 1 Csa-iot 1 Matter 2026-07-17 N/A 7.5 HIGH
A reachable assertion vulnerability exists in the Matter SDK (connectedhomeip) before 1.4.2, specifically within the Level Control cluster's periodic server tick logic. When a MoveToLevel command is sent and immediately followed by a write of OperationMode=2 (in the Pump Configuration and Control cluster), the server tick function violates the assertion `currentLevel < maxLevel`, resulting in a crash. This can be exploited remotely without authentication to cause denial of service. Affected versions include 1.3 and 1.4 (commit ab3d5ae).
CVE-2026-47475 2026-07-15 N/A 6.2 MEDIUM
NVIDIA TensorRT-LLM contains a vulnerability in the OpenAI-compatible inference API where an attacker could trigger a reachable assertion in the sampler thread. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to denial of service.
CVE-2026-3608 2026-07-15 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Sending a maliciously crafted message to the kea-ctrl-agent, kea-dhcp-ddns, kea-dhcp4, or kea-dhcp6 daemons over any configured API socket or HA listener can cause the receiving daemon to exit with a stack overflow error. This issue affects Kea versions 2.6.0 through 2.6.4 and 3.0.0 through 3.0.2.
CVE-2026-27623 1 Lfprojects 1 Valkey 2026-07-15 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Valkey is a distributed key-value database. Starting in version 9.0.0 and prior to version 9.0.3, a malicious actor with network access to Valkey can cause the system to abort by triggering an assertion. When processing incoming requests, the Valkey system does not properly reset the networking state after processing an empty request. A malicious actor can then send a request that the server incorrectly identifies as breaking server side invariants, which results in the server shutting down. Version 9.0.3 fixes the issue. As an additional mitigation, properly isolate Valkey deployments so that only trusted users have access.
CVE-2026-27135 1 Nghttp2 1 Nghttp2 2026-07-15 N/A 7.5 HIGH
nghttp2 is an implementation of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol version 2 in C. Prior to version 1.68.1, the nghttp2 library stops reading the incoming data when user facing public API `nghttp2_session_terminate_session` or `nghttp2_session_terminate_session2` is called by the application. They might be called internally by the library when it detects the situation that is subject to connection error. Due to the missing internal state validation, the library keeps reading the rest of the data after one of those APIs is called. Then receiving a malformed frame that causes FRAME_SIZE_ERROR causes assertion failure. nghttp2 v1.68.1 adds missing state validation to avoid assertion failure. No known workarounds are available.
CVE-2026-52952 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-15 N/A 8.8 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommu: Fix WARN_ON in __iommu_group_set_domain_nofail() due to reset In __iommu_group_set_domain_internal(), concurrent domain attachments are rejected when any device in the group is recovering. This is necessary to fence concurrent attachments to a multi-device group where devices might share the same RID due to PCI DMA alias quirks, but triggers the WARN_ON in __iommu_group_set_domain_nofail(). Other IOMMU_SET_DOMAIN_MUST_SUCCEED callers in detach/teardown paths, such as __iommu_group_set_core_domain and __iommu_release_dma_ownership, should not be rejected, as the domain would be freed anyway in these nofail paths while group->domain is still pointing to it. So pci_dev_reset_iommu_done() could trigger a UAF when re-attaching group->domain. Honor the IOMMU_SET_DOMAIN_MUST_SUCCEED flag, allowing the callers through the group->recovery_cnt fence, so as to update the group->domain pointer. Instead add a gdev->blocked check in the device iteration loop, to prevent any concurrent per-device detachment.
CVE-2026-53039 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-14 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ocfs2: validate group add input before caching [BUG] OCFS2_IOC_GROUP_ADD can trigger a BUG_ON in ocfs2_set_new_buffer_uptodate(): kernel BUG at fs/ocfs2/uptodate.c:509! Oops: invalid opcode: 0000 [#1] SMP KASAN NOPTI RIP: 0010:ocfs2_set_new_buffer_uptodate+0x194/0x1e0 fs/ocfs2/uptodate.c:509 Code: ffffe88f 42b9fe4c 89e64889 dfe8b4df Call Trace: ocfs2_group_add+0x3f1/0x1510 fs/ocfs2/resize.c:507 ocfs2_ioctl+0x309/0x6e0 fs/ocfs2/ioctl.c:887 vfs_ioctl fs/ioctl.c:51 [inline] __do_sys_ioctl fs/ioctl.c:597 [inline] __se_sys_ioctl fs/ioctl.c:583 [inline] __x64_sys_ioctl+0x197/0x1e0 fs/ioctl.c:583 x64_sys_call+0x1144/0x26a0 arch/x86/include/generated/asm/syscalls_64.h:17 do_syscall_x64 arch/x86/entry/syscall_64.c:63 [inline] do_syscall_64+0x93/0xf80 arch/x86/entry/syscall_64.c:94 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x76/0x7e RIP: 0033:0x7bbfb55a966d [CAUSE] ocfs2_group_add() calls ocfs2_set_new_buffer_uptodate() on a user-controlled group block before ocfs2_verify_group_and_input() validates that block number. That helper is only valid for newly allocated metadata and asserts that the block is not already present in the chosen metadata cache. The code also uses INODE_CACHE(inode) even though the group descriptor belongs to main_bm_inode and later journal accesses use that cache context instead. [FIX] Validate the on-disk group descriptor before caching it, then add it to the metadata cache tracked by INODE_CACHE(main_bm_inode). Keep the validation failure path separate from the later cleanup path so we only remove the buffer from that cache after it has actually been inserted. This keeps the group buffer lifetime consistent across validation, journaling, and cleanup.
CVE-2026-52954 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-14 N/A 7.5 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: handle rbtree insertion error in decode_choose_args() A message of type CEPH_MSG_OSD_MAP contains an OSD map that itself contains a CRUSH map. The received CRUSH map may optionally contain choose_args that get decoded in decode_choose_args(). In this function, num_choose_arg_maps is read from the message, and a corresponding number of crush_choose_arg_maps gets decoded afterwards. Each crush_choose_arg_map has a choose_args_index, which serves as the key when inserting it into the choose_args rbtree of the decoded crush_map. If a (potentially corrupted) message contains two crush_choose_arg_maps with the same index, the assertion in insert_choose_arg_map() triggers a kernel BUG when trying to insert the second crush_choose_arg_map. This patch fixes the issue by switching to the non-asserting rbtree insertion function and rejecting the message if the insertion fails. [ idryomov: changelog ]
CVE-2026-4046 1 Gnu 1 Glibc 2026-07-14 N/A 7.5 HIGH
The iconv() function in the GNU C Library versions 2.43 and earlier may crash due to an assertion failure when converting inputs from the IBM1390 or IBM1399 character sets, which may be used to remotely crash an application. This vulnerability can be trivially mitigated by removing the IBM1390 and IBM1399 character sets from systems that do not need them.
CVE-2026-31415 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-14 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: avoid overflows in ip6_datagram_send_ctl() Yiming Qian reported : <quote> I believe I found a locally triggerable kernel bug in the IPv6 sendmsg ancillary-data path that can panic the kernel via `skb_under_panic()` (local DoS). The core issue is a mismatch between: - a 16-bit length accumulator (`struct ipv6_txoptions::opt_flen`, type `__u16`) and - a pointer to the *last* provided destination-options header (`opt->dst1opt`) when multiple `IPV6_DSTOPTS` control messages (cmsgs) are provided. - `include/net/ipv6.h`: - `struct ipv6_txoptions::opt_flen` is `__u16` (wrap possible). (lines 291-307, especially 298) - `net/ipv6/datagram.c:ip6_datagram_send_ctl()`: - Accepts repeated `IPV6_DSTOPTS` and accumulates into `opt_flen` without rejecting duplicates. (lines 909-933) - `net/ipv6/ip6_output.c:__ip6_append_data()`: - Uses `opt->opt_flen + opt->opt_nflen` to compute header sizes/headroom decisions. (lines 1448-1466, especially 1463-1465) - `net/ipv6/ip6_output.c:__ip6_make_skb()`: - Calls `ipv6_push_frag_opts()` if `opt->opt_flen` is non-zero. (lines 1930-1934) - `net/ipv6/exthdrs.c:ipv6_push_frag_opts()` / `ipv6_push_exthdr()`: - Push size comes from `ipv6_optlen(opt->dst1opt)` (based on the pointed-to header). (lines 1179-1185 and 1206-1211) 1. `opt_flen` is a 16-bit accumulator: - `include/net/ipv6.h:298` defines `__u16 opt_flen; /* after fragment hdr */`. 2. `ip6_datagram_send_ctl()` accepts *repeated* `IPV6_DSTOPTS` cmsgs and increments `opt_flen` each time: - In `net/ipv6/datagram.c:909-933`, for `IPV6_DSTOPTS`: - It computes `len = ((hdr->hdrlen + 1) << 3);` - It checks `CAP_NET_RAW` using `ns_capable(net->user_ns, CAP_NET_RAW)`. (line 922) - Then it does: - `opt->opt_flen += len;` (line 927) - `opt->dst1opt = hdr;` (line 928) There is no duplicate rejection here (unlike the legacy `IPV6_2292DSTOPTS` path which rejects duplicates at `net/ipv6/datagram.c:901-904`). If enough large `IPV6_DSTOPTS` cmsgs are provided, `opt_flen` wraps while `dst1opt` still points to a large (2048-byte) destination-options header. In the attached PoC (`poc.c`): - 32 cmsgs with `hdrlen=255` => `len = (255+1)*8 = 2048` - 1 cmsg with `hdrlen=0` => `len = 8` - Total increment: `32*2048 + 8 = 65544`, so `(__u16)opt_flen == 8` - The last cmsg is 2048 bytes, so `dst1opt` points to a 2048-byte header. 3. The transmit path sizes headers using the wrapped `opt_flen`: - In `net/ipv6/ip6_output.c:1463-1465`: - `headersize = sizeof(struct ipv6hdr) + (opt ? opt->opt_flen + opt->opt_nflen : 0) + ...;` With wrapped `opt_flen`, `headersize`/headroom decisions underestimate what will be pushed later. 4. When building the final skb, the actual push length comes from `dst1opt` and is not limited by wrapped `opt_flen`: - In `net/ipv6/ip6_output.c:1930-1934`: - `if (opt->opt_flen) proto = ipv6_push_frag_opts(skb, opt, proto);` - In `net/ipv6/exthdrs.c:1206-1211`, `ipv6_push_frag_opts()` pushes `dst1opt` via `ipv6_push_exthdr()`. - In `net/ipv6/exthdrs.c:1179-1184`, `ipv6_push_exthdr()` does: - `skb_push(skb, ipv6_optlen(opt));` - `memcpy(h, opt, ipv6_optlen(opt));` With insufficient headroom, `skb_push()` underflows and triggers `skb_under_panic()` -> `BUG()`: - `net/core/skbuff.c:2669-2675` (`skb_push()` calls `skb_under_panic()`) - `net/core/skbuff.c:207-214` (`skb_panic()` ends in `BUG()`) - The `IPV6_DSTOPTS` cmsg path requires `CAP_NET_RAW` in the target netns user namespace (`ns_capable(net->user_ns, CAP_NET_RAW)`). - Root (or any task with `CAP_NET_RAW`) can trigger this without user namespaces. - An unprivileged `uid=1000` user can trigger this if unprivileged user namespaces are enabled and it can create a userns+netns to obtain namespaced `CAP_NET_RAW` (the attached PoC does this). - Local denial of service: kernel BUG/panic (system crash). - ---truncated---
CVE-2024-57924 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-14 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: relax assertions on failure to encode file handles Encoding file handles is usually performed by a filesystem >encode_fh() method that may fail for various reasons. The legacy users of exportfs_encode_fh(), namely, nfsd and name_to_handle_at(2) syscall are ready to cope with the possibility of failure to encode a file handle. There are a few other users of exportfs_encode_{fh,fid}() that currently have a WARN_ON() assertion when ->encode_fh() fails. Relax those assertions because they are wrong. The second linked bug report states commit 16aac5ad1fa9 ("ovl: support encoding non-decodable file handles") in v6.6 as the regressing commit, but this is not accurate. The aforementioned commit only increases the chances of the assertion and allows triggering the assertion with the reproducer using overlayfs, inotify and drop_caches. Triggering this assertion was always possible with other filesystems and other reasons of ->encode_fh() failures and more particularly, it was also possible with the exact same reproducer using overlayfs that is mounted with options index=on,nfs_export=on also on kernels < v6.6. Therefore, I am not listing the aforementioned commit as a Fixes commit. Backport hint: this patch will have a trivial conflict applying to v6.6.y, and other trivial conflicts applying to stable kernels < v6.6.
CVE-2026-58307 2026-07-09 N/A 6.1 MEDIUM
Out-of-bounds read, Reachable assertion vulnerability in Samsung Open Source Escargot allows Overread Buffers, Input Data Manipulation. This issue affects Escargot: before 2dee22f5c7b8bf31cb7252d7731fae8c07f2842c.
CVE-2026-50722 1 Libreswan 1 Libreswan 2026-07-09 N/A 8.1 HIGH
Libreswan, via the function RSA_authenticate_hash_signature_pkcs1_1_5_rsa(), did not correctly verify the DER encoding of the ASN.1 digest when the IKEv2 AUTH payload was encoded using RSASSA-PKCS1-v1_5 (RFC 8017). A remote attacker can use a variation on the Bleichenbacher attack to forge the AUTH payload when small public exponents are used (e.g., e=3), leading to impersonation. Additionally, a remote attacker, by encoding a shorter than expected hash in the AUTH payload, could trigger an assertion leading to denial-of-service. The daemon aborts and restarts; continued exploitation causes sustained denial of service. Remote code execution is not possible. X.509 certificate verifications of the remote IKE peer are not affected.
CVE-2026-50721 1 Libreswan 1 Libreswan 2026-07-09 N/A 8.1 HIGH
Libreswan, via the function RSA_authenticate_hash_signature_raw_rsa(), did not correctly verify the length of the authentication hash when the SIG payload of an IKEv1 packet was encoded using PKCS #1 RSA Encryption as per RFC 2313. A remote attacker can use a variation on the Bleichenbacher attack to forge the SIG payload when small public exponents are being used (e.g., e=3), which could lead to impersonation. Additionally, a remote attacker, by encoding a shorter than expected hash in the SIG payload, could trigger an assertion leading to denial-of-service. The daemon aborts and restarts; continued exploitation causes sustained denial of service. Remote code execution is not possible. X.509 certificate verifications of remote IKE peers are not affected.
