CVE-2026-53064 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-21 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm cache: fix null-deref with concurrent writes in passthrough mode In passthrough mode, when dm-cache starts to invalidate a cache entry and bio prison cell lock fails due to concurrent write to the same cached block, mg->cell remains NULL. The error path in invalidate_complete() attempts to unlock and free the cell unconditionally, causing a NULL pointer dereference: KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x0000000000000000-0x0000000000000007] CPU: 0 UID: 0 PID: 134 Comm: fio Not tainted 6.19.0-rc7 #3 PREEMPT RIP: 0010:dm_cell_unlock_v2+0x3f/0x210 <snip> Call Trace: invalidate_complete+0xef/0x430 map_bio+0x130f/0x1a10 cache_map+0x320/0x6b0 __map_bio+0x458/0x510 dm_submit_bio+0x40e/0x16d0 __submit_bio+0x419/0x870 <snip> Reproduce steps: 1. CVE-2026-53058 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-21 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/bridge: cadence: cdns-mhdp8546-core: Set the mhdp connector earlier in atomic_enable() In case if we get errors in cdns_mhdp_link_up() or cdns_mhdp_reg_read() in atomic_enable, we will go to cdns_mhdp_modeset_retry_fn() and will hit NULL pointer while trying to access the mutex. We need the connector to be set before that. Unlike in legacy cases with flag !DRM_BRIDGE_ATTACH_NO_CONNECTOR, we do not have connector initialised in bridge_attach(), so add the mhdp->connector_ptr in device structure to handle both cases with DRM_BRIDGE_ATTACH_NO_CONNECTOR and !DRM_BRIDGE_ATTACH_NO_CONNECTOR, set it in atomic_enable() earlier to avoid possible NULL pointer dereference in recovery paths like modeset_retry_fn() with the DRM_BRIDGE_ATTACH_NO_CONNECTOR flag set.
CVE-2026-53048 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-21 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gfs2: prevent NULL pointer dereference during unmount When flushing out outstanding glock work during an unmount, gfs2_log_flush() can be called when sdp->sd_jdesc has already been deallocated and sdp->sd_jdesc is NULL. Commit 35264909e9d1 ("gfs2: Fix NULL pointer dereference in gfs2_log_flush") added a check for that to gfs2_log_flush() itself, but it missed the sdp->sd_jdesc dereference in gfs2_log_release(). Fix that.
CVE-2026-46261 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-20 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: wpcm-fiu: Fix potential NULL pointer dereference in wpcm_fiu_probe() platform_get_resource_byname() can return NULL, which would cause a crash when passed the pointer to resource_size(). Move the fiu->memory_size assignment after the error check for devm_ioremap_resource() to prevent the potential NULL pointer dereference.
CVE-2026-15352 2026-07-17 N/A 7.5 HIGH
A vulnerability exists in the Health & Safety (HS) application of NASA's Core Flight System (cFS). The flaw allows the application to crash via segmentation fault when processing a routine Housekeeping Telemetry request, leading to denial of service.
CVE-2025-56363 1 Csa-iot 1 Matter 2026-07-17 N/A 7.5 HIGH
A null pointer dereference vulnerability exists in the Matter SDK (connectedhomeip) before 1.4.0, affecting the ReadRevisionAttribute function used in multiple clusters (Channel, Account Login, TargetNavigator, etc.). The function lacks proper validation of the delegate pointer before dereferencing. A remote unauthenticated attacker can exploit this issue by sending a crafted read request, causing the device to crash (denial of service). This issue has been confirmed in SDK version v1.4 (commit ab3d5ae).
CVE-2026-50673 1 Microsoft 12 Windows 10 1607, Windows 10 1809, Windows 10 21h2 and 9 more 2026-07-16 N/A 7.8 HIGH
Null pointer dereference in Windows Kernel allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
CVE-2026-52865 1 F5 1 Nginx Ingress Controller 2026-07-16 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
When NGINX Ingress Controller processes Ingress or TransportServer resources, an authenticated, remote attacker with permission to create or modify Ingress or TransportServer resources can cause the NGINX Ingress Controller process to terminate. Impact: The NGINX Ingress Controller control plane process terminates and enters a persistent crash loop while the malformed Ingress or TransportServer resource remains in the cluster. This vulnerability allows a remote, authenticated attacker with at least Ingress or TransportServer resource write access to cause a denial-of-service (DoS) on the NGINX Ingress Controller system. There is no data plane exposure; this is a control plane issue only. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
CVE-2026-46092 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-16 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: rtw88: check for PCI upstream bridge existence pci_upstream_bridge() returns NULL if the device is on a root bus. If 8821CE is installed in the system with such a PCI topology, the probing routine will crash. This has probably been unnoticed as 8821CE is mostly supplied in laptops where there is a PCI-to-PCI bridge located upstream from the device. However the card might be installed on a system with different configuration. Check if the bridge does exist for the specific workaround to be applied. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with Svace static analysis tool.
CVE-2026-53034 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-15 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf, sockmap: Fix af_unix null-ptr-deref in proto update unix_stream_connect() sets sk_state (`WRITE_ONCE(sk->sk_state, TCP_ESTABLISHED)`) _before_ it assigns a peer (`unix_peer(sk) = newsk`). sk_state == TCP_ESTABLISHED makes sock_map_sk_state_allowed() believe that socket is properly set up, which would include having a defined peer. IOW, there's a window when unix_stream_bpf_update_proto() can be called on socket which still has unix_peer(sk) == NULL. CPU0 bpf CPU1 connect -------- ------------ WRITE_ONCE(sk->sk_state, TCP_ESTABLISHED) sock_map_sk_state_allowed(sk) ... sk_pair = unix_peer(sk) sock_hold(sk_pair) sock_hold(newsk) smp_mb__after_atomic() unix_peer(sk) = newsk BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 0000000000000080 RIP: 0010:unix_stream_bpf_update_proto+0xa0/0x1b0 Call Trace: sock_map_link+0x564/0x8b0 sock_map_update_common+0x6e/0x340 sock_map_update_elem_sys+0x17d/0x240 __sys_bpf+0x26db/0x3250 __x64_sys_bpf+0x21/0x30 do_syscall_64+0x6b/0x3a0 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x76/0x7e Initial idea was to move peer assignment _before_ the sk_state update[1], but that involved an additional memory barrier, and changing the hot path was rejected. Then a NULL check during proto update in unix_stream_bpf_update_proto() was considered[2], but the follow-up discussion[3] focused on the root cause, i.e. sockmap update taking a wrong lock. Or, more specifically, missing unix_state_lock()[4]. In the end it was concluded that teaching sockmap about the af_unix locking would be unnecessarily complex[5]. Complexity aside, since BPF_PROG_TYPE_SCHED_CLS and BPF_PROG_TYPE_SCHED_ACT are allowed to update sockmaps, sock_map_update_elem() taking the unix lock, as it is currently implemented in unix_state_lock(): spin_lock(&unix_sk(s)->lock), would be problematic. unix_state_lock() taken in a process context, followed by a softirq-context TC BPF program attempting to take the same spinlock -- deadlock[6]. This way we circled back to the peer check idea[2]. CVE-2026-53028 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-15 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: typec: Fix error pointer dereference The variable tps->partner is checked for an error pointer and then if it is, it sends an error message but does not return and then immediately dereferenced a few lines below: tps->partner = typec_register_partner(tps->port, &desc); if (IS_ERR(tps->partner)) dev_warn(tps->dev, "%s: failed to register partnet\n", __func__); if (desc.identity) { typec_partner_set_identity(tps->partner); cd321x->cur_partner_identity = st.partner_identity; } Add early return and fix spelling mistake in error message. CVE-2026-52997 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-15 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: sch_dualpi2: drain both C-queue and L-queue in dualpi2_change() Fix dualpi2_change() to correctly enforce updated limit and memlimit values after a configuration change of the dualpi2 qdisc. Before this patch, dualpi2_change() always attempted to dequeue packets via the root qdisc (C-queue) when reducing backlog or memory usage, and unconditionally assumed that a valid skb will be returned. When traffic classification results in packets being queued in the L-queue while the C-queue is empty, this leads to a NULL skb dereference during limit or memlimit enforcement. This is fixed by first dequeuing from the C-queue path if it is non-empty. Once the C-queue is empty, packets are dequeued directly from the L-queue. Return values from qdisc_dequeue_internal() are checked for both queues. When dequeuing from the L-queue, the parent qdisc qlen and backlog counters are updated explicitly to keep overall qdisc statistics consistent.
CVE-2026-12329 1 Mozilla 2 Firefox, Thunderbird 2026-07-15 N/A 5.3 MEDIUM
Memory safety bug fixed in Thunderbird ESR 140.12. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox ESR 140.12 and Thunderbird 140.12.
CVE-2026-47220 1 Envoyproxy 1 Envoy 2026-07-15 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Envoy is an open source edge and service proxy designed for cloud-native applications. From 1.37.0 until 1.37.5 and 1.38.3, when the %REQUESTED_SERVER_NAME(X:Y)% is used in log format and host related options is specified, like HOST_FIRST, SNI_FIRST, it's possible to crash Envoy when the specified host header is missing in the request headers. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.37.5 and 1.38.3.
CVE-2026-46195 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-15 N/A 9.8 CRITICAL
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: validate dacloffset before building DACL pointers parse_sec_desc(), build_sec_desc(), and the chown path in id_mode_to_cifs_acl() all add the server-supplied dacloffset to pntsd before proving a DACL header fits inside the returned security descriptor. On 32-bit builds a malicious server can return dacloffset near U32_MAX, wrap the derived DACL pointer below end_of_acl, and then slip past the later pointer-based bounds checks. build_sec_desc() and id_mode_to_cifs_acl() can then dereference DACL fields from the wrapped pointer in the chmod/chown rewrite paths. Validate dacloffset numerically before building any DACL pointer and reuse the same helper at the three DACL entry points.
CVE-2026-27651 1 F5 2 Nginx Open Source, Nginx Plus 2026-07-15 N/A 7.5 HIGH
When the ngx_mail_auth_http_module module is enabled on NGINX Plus or NGINX Open Source, undisclosed requests can cause worker processes to terminate. This issue may occur when (1) CRAM-MD5 or APOP authentication is enabled, and (2) the authentication server permits retry by returning the Auth-Wait response header. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
CVE-2026-52951 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-15 N/A 7.8 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe/dma-buf: handle empty bo and UAF races There look to be some nasty races here when triggering the invalidate_mappings hook: 1) We do xe_bo_alloc() followed by the attach, before the actual full bo init step in xe_dma_buf_init_obj(). However the bo is visible on the attachments list after the attach. This is bad since exporter driver, say amdgpu, can at any time call back into our invalidate_mappings hook, with an empty/bogus bo, leading to potential bugs/crashes. 2) Similar to 1) but here we get a UAF, when the invalidate_mappings hook is triggered. For example, we get as far as xe_bo_init_locked() but this fails in some way. But here the bo will be freed on error, but we still have it attached from dma-buf pov, so if the invalidate_mappings is now triggered then the bo we access is gone and we trigger UAF and more bugs/crashes. To fix this, move the attach step until after we actually have a fully set up buffer object. Note that the bo is not published to userspace until later, so not sure what the comment "Don't publish the bo until we have a valid attachment", is referring to. We have at least two different customers reporting hitting a NULL ptr deref in evict_flags when importing something from amdgpu, followed by triggering the evict flow. Hit rate is also pretty low, which would hint at some kind of race, so something like 1) or 2) might explain this. v2: - Shuffle the order of the ops slightly (no functional change) - Improve the comment to better explain the ordering (Matt B) (cherry picked from commit af1f2ad0c59fe4e2f924c526f66e968289d77971)
CVE-2026-60109 1 Zeek 1 Zeek 2026-07-14 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Zeek before 8.0.9 contains a null pointer dereference vulnerability in its Kerberos protocol analyzer that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to crash the sensor by sending a crafted KRB_ERROR message with error-code 25 (KDC_ERR_PREAUTH_REQUIRED) containing a PA-DATA element with padata-type 2, 3, 11, or 19. Attackers can exploit a parser and analyzer state mismatch where proc_padata() dereferences an uninitialized pa_data_element field selected by the wrong parsing arm, triggering a crash via a single UDP or TCP packet to port 88 without any credentials or prior authentication.
CVE-2026-58369 2026-07-14 N/A 5.3 MEDIUM
Woodpecker before 3.15.0 registers the /api/orgs/lookup/*org_full_name endpoint without authentication middleware, and the LookupOrg handler unconditionally dereferences the session user (user.ForgeID, via ForgeFromUser) when selecting the forge to query. For an unauthenticated request session.User returns nil, so any unauthenticated HTTP request triggers a NULL pointer dereference in the handler. The panic is recovered by gin recovery middleware and the server continues serving (returning HTTP 500), but each request writes a multi-line panic stack trace to the error log. A low-bandwidth unauthenticated attacker can repeatedly probe the endpoint to flood the logs (about 37 lines per request), inflating disk usage and downstream log-ingestion cost and burying legitimate log events.
