| CVE-2026-64679 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | 8.1 HIGH | ||
| Atlantis is a self-hosted golang application that listens for Terraform pull request events via webhooks. From 0.19.8 until 0.45.0, Atlantis does not consistently validate user-controlled workspace values supplied through accepted repository-level atlantis.yaml configuration or authenticated /api/plan input before joining them into local workspace paths. Traversal segments can escape the intended per-pull workspace directory and cause clone preparation or other working-directory code paths to call os.RemoveAll, os.MkdirAll, or related filesystem operations on out-of-bounds directories before Terraform rejects the invalid workspace name. This can create, delete, or reuse writable paths with the privileges of the Atlantis process, causing integrity loss or denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 0.45.0. | |||||
| CVE-2026-49833 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM | ||
| DSpace open source software is a repository application which provides durable access to digital resources. From versions 8.0-rc1 to before 8.4, 9.0-rc1 to before 9.3, and 10-rc1 to before 10.0, a path traversal vulnerability is possible via the COAR Notify / LDN service in DSpace. The attacker MUST already have DSpace administrator credentials in order to perform the attack. When reading a file input stream of an "inbound pattern" / "template", used to generate an LDN message, the LDN class does not check for path traversal or restrict the templates to a known base path. This could allow an untrusted file from elsewhere in the file system (e.g. an export log, a bitstream path, a temporary file) to be read and interpreted as an Apache Velocity template. This issue has been patched in versions 8.4, 9.3, and 10.0. | |||||
| CVE-2026-49831 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM | ||
| DSpace open source software is a repository application which provides durable access to digital resources. Prior to versions 7.6.7, 8.4, 9.3, and 10.0, the Curation Task feature allows an output path to be used by the reporter (-r parameter), typically used to stream results and status of curation task operations. It is not restricted to any particular base path, meaning that any path writable by the DSpace (often 'tomcat') user is allowed. This constitutes a Path Traversal Vulnerability in the curate script. This issue has been patched in versions 7.6.7, 8.4, 9.3, and 10.0. | |||||
| CVE-2026-52832 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | 4.9 MEDIUM | ||
| Nuclio is a "Serverless" framework for Real-Time Events and Data Processing. Prior to version 1.16.5, Nuclio Dashboard exposes POST /api/functions without authentication by default (NOP auth mode). The spec.handler field (e.g., mymodule:myfunction) is parsed by functionconfig.ParseHandler() which splits on : only — no path validation is applied to the module portion. This issue has been patched in version 1.16.5. | |||||
| CVE-2026-47243 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | N/A | ||
| Kata Containers is an open source project focusing on a standard implementation of lightweight Virtual Machines (VMs) that perform like containers. Prior to 3.31.0, the runtime-rs standalone virtio-fs path is vulnerable to a guest-root to host-root escape. In this configuration, Kata runs the host virtiofsd as root with --sandbox none --seccomp none, so an attacker with root-equivalent access inside the guest can bypass the guest virtio-fs client entirely by taking over the virtio-fs PCI device and building a virtqueue in userspace to submit raw FUSE requests directly to the host virtiofsd. A crafted FUSE_SYMLINK request whose new symlink name is an absolute host path is honored outside the configured shared directory, allowing guest root to create root-owned symlinks in sensitive host locations such as /etc/cron.d. By pointing such a symlink at a guest-controlled crontab payload reachable through a live runtime process's mount namespace, the attacker causes the host cron daemon to execute that payload as host root, crossing the Kata isolation boundary. This issue is fixed in version 3.31.0. | |||||
| CVE-2026-73653 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | 9.4 CRITICAL | ||
| Vitest is a testing framework powered by Vite. Prior to versions 3.2.7, 4.1.10, and 5.0.0-beta.6, Browser Mode provider commands including upload, takeScreenshot, screenshotMatcher, stopChunkTrace, deleteTracing, and annotateTraces accept browser-supplied file paths without enforcing the allowWrite permission gate or confining paths to the project root. A client that can reach the Browser Mode API can read arbitrary local files, create or overwrite image and trace files, or delete files accessible to the Vitest process even when allowWrite is false. This issue is fixed in versions 3.2.7, 4.1.10, and 5.0.0-beta.6. | |||||
| CVE-2026-62992 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | N/A | ||
| Smarty is a template engine for PHP, facilitating the separation of presentation (HTML/CSS) from application logic. Prior to 5.8.2 (and 4.5.7 on the 4.x line), Security::_checkDir() does not fully resolve symbolic links before validating that a requested path lies within a configured secure directory. An attacker able to place or reference a symlink within a directory Smarty treats as trusted (e.g., a template or config directory) could use it to point outside the intended secure directory, bypassing the containment check and reading arbitrary files accessible to the PHP process. This issue is fixed in versions 5.8.2 and 4.5.7. | |||||
| CVE-2026-48099 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | 7.1 HIGH | ||
| WsgiDAV is a generic and extendable WebDAV server based on WSGI. WsgiDAV 4.3.3 and prior can allow a WebDAV request path containing an encoded parent-directory segment to escape the configured filesystem share root in a specific path layout. The issue is fixed with version 4.3.4. | |||||
| CVE-2026-50540 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | 9.6 CRITICAL | ||
| Kata Containers is an open source project focusing on a standard implementation of lightweight Virtual Machines (VMs) that perform like containers. Prior to version 4.0.0, kata-runtime is vulnerable to host code execution via an unvalidated configuration path annotation. The runtime accepts an arbitrary io.katacontainers.config_path pod annotation and loads the referenced host TOML file without restriction. As a result, a pod user who can place a file at a host-visible path can supply a configuration that selects an attacker-controlled hypervisor or virtio-fs daemon binary, executing code as root on the host. This issue is fixed in version 4.0.0. | |||||
| CVE-2026-47661 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | N/A | ||
| Pathling is a set of tools that make it easier to use FHIR and clinical terminology within health data analytics. Prior to version 2.0.0 of Pathling Server, Pathling's `/$result` endpoint allows a caller who can obtain any valid async export job ID to supply `file` parameter values containing path traversal sequences. The handler verifies only the supplied `job` and never normalises or confines the requested `file` path to that job's `jobs/<jobId>` directory before opening it as a filesystem resource. Because async export scratch space lives under the same warehouse database root as persisted resource tables, an attacker can use their own export job to read other files from the warehouse. This is fixed in Pathling Server 2.0.0. As an interim mitigation, disable the async export operations (`pathling.operations.exportEnabled`, `patientExportEnabled`, `groupExportEnabled`, `bulkSubmitEnabled`) or enable authentication and restrict export capability to trusted callers. | |||||
| CVE-2026-62996 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | N/A | ||
| Smarty is a template engine for PHP, facilitating the separation of presentation (HTML/CSS) from application logic. From 5.0.0 until 5.8.4, Smarty's stream: resource-name handling does not adequately restrict which PHP stream wrappers and filter chains can be referenced from a template, allowing a php://filter-wrapped resource name to be used to read the contents of arbitrary local files accessible to the PHP process. An attacker able to author or influence a template's resource reference could exploit this to disclose sensitive file contents outside the intended template/config scope. This issue is fixed in version 5.8.4. | |||||
| CVE-2026-47659 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | N/A | ||
| Pathling is a set of tools that make it easier to use FHIR and clinical terminology within health data analytics. The `$result` handler now resolves and canonicalizes the requested file path and rejects any request that escapes the job's `jobs/<jobId>` directory. As an interim mitigation, disable the async export operations (`pathling.operations.exportEnabled`, `patientExportEnabled`, `groupExportEnabled`, `bulkSubmitEnabled`) or enable authentication and restrict export capability to trusted callers. | |||||
| CVE-2026-63134 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | 5.4 MEDIUM | ||
| Malcolm is a network traffic analysis tool suite. Prior to version 26.07.0, `safe-extract.py` protects file extraction with libarchive's secure flags, but creates directory entries with a raw `os.makedirs(os.path.join(dest, entry.pathname))` that has no traversal protection. An uploaded malicious archive containing a directory entry with a `../` sequence or an absolute path causes the filebeat processing container to create directories outside the intended extraction directory. Version 26.07.0 fixes the issue. | |||||
| CVE-2026-73225 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | 8.1 HIGH | ||
| electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client. Prior to 3.15.120, electerm allows a malicious FTP or SFTP server to write attacker-controlled content outside the selected download directory because recursive transfers in src/client/components/file-transfer/transfer.jsx pass server-supplied file.name and folder.name values to resolve without sanitization. This issue is fixed in version 3.15.120. | |||||
| CVE-2026-47754 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | 9.3 CRITICAL | ||
| Metacat is data repository software that helps researchers preserve, share, and discover data. Versions 2.x through 2.19.1 and all 1.x versions contain an unauthenticated path traversal in the `archiveEntryName` parameter of the `action=read` endpoint that is part of the original 1.x Metacat API. `ArchiveHandler.readArchiveEntry()` concatenates the user-supplied parameter into a filesystem path without validation, and the surrounding `hasReadPermission()` check is commented out. An unauthenticated remote attacker can read any file accessible to the Tomcat process by sending a single GET request. Proof-of-concept exploits have been demonstrated and verified against this vulnerability, and it should be considered easily exploitable for any Metacat deployment < 3.0.0 by any user with access to the 1.x API. Through this vulnerability, production 2.x deployments are exposed to credential theft, client certificate and private key exfiltration enabling member node impersonation within the federation, embargoed research data disclosure, and broad system reconnaissance. Given Metacat's deployment footprint across the DataONE network of repositories and federally funded research programs, the population of exposed 2.x instances is non-trivial. The vulnerability was eliminated in Metacat version 3.0.0 and after by eliminating the entire Metacat 1.x API that exposed this vulnerability. The vulnerability was remediated in April 2024 with the release of Metacat 3.0.0, which removed the legacy Metacat API including ArchiveHandler.java. The commit message and issue reference architectural cleanup, not a security fix, and no advisory or CVE was issued. The 2.x branch was not and will not be backported, as is standard practice in Metacat, which only supports the most current release. 2.19.1 remains vulnerable with identical code and is beyond its supported lifetime. As a workaround, disable or restrict 1.x API servlets. Because the vulnerable 1.x API is no longer used or necessary in most Metacat deployments, restricting access to the old API endpoints can reduce or eliminate exposure for 2.19.x deployments. After removing those features, restart Tomcat or whichever software is hosting the servlets. | |||||
| CVE-2026-62999 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH | ||
| Copier is a library and CLI app for rendering project templates. From 9.5.0 through 9.16.0, percent-encoded parent-directory segments or encoded path separators in a template URL can match a configured trusted repository prefix before an HTTP server or Git transport decodes the path, allowing unsafe template features from a repository outside the trusted prefix to run after user interaction. This issue is fixed in version 9.17.0. | |||||
| CVE-2026-73227 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | 8.1 HIGH | ||
| electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client. Prior to 3.15.120, electerm allows a malicious RDP server to write attacker-controlled content outside the selected save directory because the RDP clipboard download path in src/client/components/rdp/file-transfer.js passes the server-controlled CLIPRDR filename fileInfo.name to osResolve without sanitization. This issue is fixed in version 3.15.120. | |||||
| CVE-2026-72903 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | 8.1 HIGH | ||
| Tabby (formerly Terminus) is a highly configurable terminal emulator. Prior to 1.0.235, a malicious SFTP server can return a backslash traversal filename through entry.name. In tabby-ssh/src/session/sftp.ts, SFTPSession.readdir() and _makeFile() use POSIX path processing that preserves the backslashes as ordinary filename characters. In tabby-ssh/src/components/sftpPanel.component.ts, downloadFolderRecursive() propagates item.name into the local relative path. In tabby-electron/src/services/platform.service.ts, ElectronDirectoryDownload.createFile() passes that path to Windows-native path.join(), and in tabby-electron/src/sftpContextMenu.ts, EditSFTPContextMenu.edit() passes item.name to path.join() for the temporary edit path. Windows interprets the preserved backslashes and parent-directory components as traversal, allowing attacker-controlled content to be created or overwritten outside the selected download directory or temporary edit directory. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.235. | |||||
| CVE-2026-73223 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | 8.1 HIGH | ||
| electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client. Prior to 3.15.120, electerm allows a malicious SFTP server to write attacker-controlled content outside the temporary directory because the server-controlled filename name used by editWithSystemEditor in src/client/components/sftp/file-item.jsx is interpolated into path.resolve without sanitization. This issue is fixed in version 3.15.120. | |||||
| CVE-2026-71309 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | N/A | ||
| rclone is a command-line program to sync files and directories to and from different cloud storage providers. From 1.40.0 until 1.75.0, rclone serve restic does not correctly reject URL paths beginning with ../ in cmd/serve/restic/restic.go WithRemote, which accepts a leading parent path and passes it to GET, HEAD, POST, and DELETE handlers for configured backends including WebDAV, FTP, HTTP, Memory, and SFTP. An attacker who can access the REST endpoint may read, create, overwrite, or delete objects outside the path configured by the operator when the operator publishes a backend subdirectory and the backend credential can access parent or sibling objects. This issue is fixed in 1.75.0. | |||||
