CVE-2026-66766 2026-08-26 N/A 7.5 HIGH
SAP S/4HANA (Private Cloud) uses a third-party component that contains a Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker could supply specially crafted input that triggers excessive processing within the affected functionality. Successful exploitation could exhaust system resources and make the service unavailable, resulting in a high impact on availability. There is no impact on confidentiality and integrity.
CVE-2026-58436 2026-08-26 N/A 7.5 HIGH
ParseAcceptLanguage quadratic-time DoS via Locale middleware on unauthenticated requests
CVE-2026-28356 2026-08-24 N/A 7.5 HIGH
multipart is a fast multipart/form-data parser for python. Prior to 1.2.2, 1.3.1 and 1.4.0-dev, the parse_options_header() function in multipart.py uses a regular expression with an ambiguous alternation, which can cause exponential backtracking (ReDoS) when parsing maliciously crafted HTTP or multipart segment headers. This can be abused for denial of service (DoS) attacks against web applications using this library to parse request headers or multipart/form-data streams. The issue is fixed in 1.2.2, 1.3.1 and 1.4.0-dev.
CVE-2026-70656 2026-08-21 N/A 4.9 MEDIUM
Checkmate is an open-source, self-hosted tool designed to track and monitor server hardware, uptime, response times, and incidents in real-time with beautiful visualizations. From 3.5.1 until 3.9.2, an authenticated admin or superadmin can set matchMethod to regex and place a malicious expression in the expectedValue field for advanced HTTP monitor matching. server/src/api/validation/monitorValidation.ts accepts the expression, and server/src/service/network/AdvancedMatcher.ts synchronously evaluates it against an attacker-controlled HTTP response body on the Node.js main event loop without a timeout or worker isolation, allowing catastrophic backtracking to freeze API endpoints, monitor checks, and WebSocket connections for all users. This issue is fixed in version 3.9.2.
CVE-2026-72818 2026-08-21 N/A 7.5 HIGH
The URLS regular expression in nltk/tokenize/casual.py, compiled into TweetTokenizer.WORD_RE and applied by TweetTokenizer.tokenize, contains a naked-domain branch whose domain-label prefix [a-z0-9]+(?:[.\-][a-z0-9]+)* is unbounded. Input consisting of many alternating label separators can be partitioned in exponentially many ways, and because the branch also requires a trailing top-level domain that such input never supplies, the engine explores those partitions before failing at each offset. A few kilobytes of input therefore consumes seconds to minutes of single-threaded CPU, and the HANG_RE substitution performed before matching does not collapse the pattern. TweetTokenizer is intended for tokenizing untrusted social-media text, so any service that applies it, or the module-level casual_tokenize, to submitted text can be stalled per request without authentication. Version 3.10.1 bounds the label repetition.
CVE-2026-68749 1 Rrrene 1 Htmlsanitizeex 2026-08-19 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Inefficient Regular Expression Complexity vulnerability in the CSS scrubber in rrrene html_sanitize_ex allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to exhaust server CPU via a long CSS declaration in sanitized HTML. The declaration regex in HtmlSanitizeEx.Scrubber.CSS.scrub/1 matches the property name with an unbounded greedy [-\w]+ followed by a mandatory :, so a long run of word characters not followed by a colon makes the engine give back one character at a time and retry the colon at every start offset. The work is quadratic in the length of the run, and no length cap is applied to the CSS handed to the scrubber. An 80 KB <style> body costs roughly 2.4 seconds of scheduler time, so a few concurrent requests saturate the BEAM scheduler pool and make the application unresponsive. The impact is CPU exhaustion only. Nothing is read, modified or disclosed. This issue affects html_sanitize_ex: from 0.3.1 before 1.4.5 and from 1.5.0-rc.0 before 1.5.3.
CVE-2026-54284 2026-08-17 N/A N/A
sqlparse is a non-validating SQL parser module for Python. Prior to 0.6.0, TokenList construction and string conversion in sqlparse/sql.py repeatedly flatten nested token subtrees constructed by group_parenthesis and group_case, causing quadratic CPU consumption through sqlparse.parse(), sqlparse.format(), and sqlparse.split() before depth and token limits terminate processing. This issue is fixed in version 0.6.0.
CVE-2026-59893 2026-08-17 N/A 7.5 HIGH
sqlparse is a non-validating SQL parser module for Python. Prior to 0.6.0, SQL_REGEX in sqlparse/keywords.py and the per-position loop in sqlparse/lexer.py repeatedly scan unmatched dollar-quoted literal and multiline-comment delimiters, causing quadratic CPU consumption through sqlparse.parse(), sqlparse.format(), and sqlparse.split(). This issue is fixed in version 0.6.0.
CVE-2026-14741 2026-08-12 N/A 7.5 HIGH
HTTP::Date versions before 6.08 for Perl allow CPU exhaustion via polynomial regex backtracking in parse_date. parse_date() matches the date string against a chain of alternative regexes, and str2time() delegates to it. Several of these patterns place unbounded quantifiers next to each other before a trailing `\s*$` anchor. A valid date prefix followed by a long interior run of digits, letters, or whitespace and a single trailing byte that defeats the final match forces the engine to repartition the run, giving polynomial (about quadratic) backtracking. A header value of a few tens of kilobytes runs for tens of seconds of CPU. HTTP::Date parses timestamps such as HTTP `Date`, `Expires`, and `Last-Modified` headers, which commonly originate from untrusted sources. Any caller that passes an untrusted date header to str2time() or parse_date() can be driven to consume unbounded CPU, a denial of service.
CVE-2026-48125 1 Ua-parser-js Project 1 Ua-parser-js 2026-08-06 N/A 5.3 MEDIUM
UAParser.js is a JavaScript library to detect browsers, operating systems, CPUs, and devices from user-agent data. From 2.0.1 until 2.0.10, a regular expression denial-of-service vulnerability exists when using the Client Hints API. By sending a crafted Sec-CH-UA-Model header to an application that calls UAParser(headers).withClientHints(), an attacker can cause excessive CPU time due to catastrophic backtracking in the device regex because Client Hints values are copied without the UA_MAX_LENGTH limit used for User-Agent values. This issue is fixed in version 2.0.10.
CVE-2026-48801 1 Markdown-it 1 Linkify-it 2026-08-06 N/A 7.5 HIGH
linkify-it is a links recognition library with full Unicode support. Prior to 5.0.1, LinkifyIt.prototype.match, the package's primary public API, has O(N²) algorithmic complexity for inputs containing many fuzzy links or emails because the JavaScript-level scan loop re-slices input and re-runs unanchored regex searches on progressively shorter tails. Any service that synchronously renders untrusted Markdown with linkify:true on a request hot path can inherit a worker-process denial of service triggerable by a tens-of-KB request body. This issue is fixed in version 5.0.1.
CVE-2026-23985 1 Apache 1 Superset 2026-08-05 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
A Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) vulnerability exists in Apache Superset versions 1.5.0 through 5.0.0. The vulnerability is located in the sql_parse.py component, specifically within the SQL_REGEX used for parsing SQL statements in the sqlparse library integration. The affected regular expression contains overlapping disjunctions that share a common outer quantifier. An authenticated attacker can exploit this by sending a maliciously crafted input string (specifically a long sequence of backslashes or similar characters) to endpoints that process SQL queries This issue affects Apache Superset: before 6.0.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 6.0.0, which fixes the issue.  Workarounds: ● WAF Rules: Implement Web Application Firewall (WAF) rules to detect and block requests containing excessively long sequences of backslashes or suspicious repeated patterns in the queries.extras.where parameter. ● Rate Limiting: Ensure strict rate limiting is applied to the /api/v1/chart/data endpoint to reduce the impact of potential attacks.
CVE-2026-52746 1 Jsonata 1 Jsonata 2026-08-03 N/A 7.5 HIGH
JSONata is a JSON query and transformation language. Prior to 2.2.0 and 1.8.9, malicious non-matching inputs to the $toMillis function can cause superlinear backtracking in the ISO-8601 validation regex, leading to denial of service in applications that evaluate user-provided JSONata expressions. This issue is fixed in version 2.2.0 and 1.8.9.
CVE-2024-21539 2026-08-03 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Versions of the package @eslint/plugin-kit before 0.2.3 are vulnerable to Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) due to improper input sanitization. An attacker can increase the CPU usage and crash the program by exploiting this vulnerability.
CVE-2025-6069 2026-07-31 N/A 4.3 MEDIUM
The html.parser.HTMLParser class had worse-case quadratic complexity when processing certain crafted malformed inputs potentially leading to amplified denial-of-service.
CVE-2024-21538 2026-07-28 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Versions of the package cross-spawn before 6.0.6, from 7.0.0 and before 7.0.5 are vulnerable to Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) due to improper input sanitization. An attacker can increase the CPU usage and crash the program by crafting a very large and well crafted string.
CVE-2026-49477 1 Facelessuser 1 Soup Sieve 2026-07-28 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Soup Sieve is a CSS selector library designed to be used with Beautiful Soup 4. Prior to 2.8.4, the CSS selector parser in soupsieve contains a regular expression vulnerable to catastrophic backtracking when processing an attribute selector with an unterminated quoted value in soupsieve/css_parser.py, allowing an attacker who can supply untrusted CSS selector strings to soupsieve.compile() or Beautiful Soup .select() / .select_one() to cause CPU exhaustion and denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 2.8.4.
CVE-2026-34939 1 Praison 1 Praisonai 2026-07-24 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
PraisonAI is a multi-agent teams system. Prior to version 4.5.90, MCPToolIndex.search_tools() compiles a caller-supplied string directly as a Python regular expression with no validation, sanitization, or timeout. A crafted regex causes catastrophic backtracking in the re engine, blocking the Python thread for hundreds of seconds and causing a complete service outage. This issue has been patched in version 4.5.90.
CVE-2026-35213 1 Content Project 1 Content 2026-07-24 N/A 7.5 HIGH
@hapi/content provided HTTP Content-* headers parsing. All versions of @hapi/content through 6.0.0 are vulnerable to Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) via crafted HTTP header values. Three regular expressions used to parse Content-Type and Content-Disposition headers contain patterns susceptible to catastrophic backtracking. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.0.1.
CVE-2026-49485 2026-07-23 N/A 7.5 HIGH
HAPI FHIR is a complete implementation of the HL7 FHIR standard for healthcare interoperability in Java. Prior to 6.9.9 and 6.9.4.2, all implementations of FHIRPathEngine accept arbitrary FHIRPath expressions and evaluate them without input validation, and the FHIRPath functions matches(), matchesFull(), and replaceMatches() pass user-controlled regular expressions to Java's Pattern.compile() and String.replaceAll() through an incomplete timeout utility. An attacker can send a resource containing an evil regex pattern that causes catastrophic backtracking, exhausting CPU resources and causing denial of service in the FHIR Validator HTTP endpoint and affected org.hl7.fhir.* modules. This issue is fixed in versions 6.9.9 and 6.9.4.2.
