CVE-2026-43071 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-08 N/A 9.1 CRITICAL
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dcache: Limit the minimal number of bucket to two There is an OOB read problem on dentry_hashtable when user sets 'dhash_entries=1': BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: ffff888b30b774b0 #PF: supervisor read access in kernel mode #PF: error_code(0x0000) - not-present page Oops: Oops: 0000 [#1] SMP PTI RIP: 0010:__d_lookup+0x56/0x120 Call Trace: d_lookup.cold+0x16/0x5d lookup_dcache+0x27/0xf0 lookup_one_qstr_excl+0x2a/0x180 start_dirop+0x55/0xa0 simple_start_creating+0x8d/0xa0 debugfs_start_creating+0x8c/0x180 debugfs_create_dir+0x1d/0x1c0 pinctrl_init+0x6d/0x140 do_one_initcall+0x6d/0x3d0 kernel_init_freeable+0x39f/0x460 kernel_init+0x2a/0x260 There will be only one bucket in dentry_hashtable when dhash_entries is set as one, and d_hash_shift is calculated as 32 by dcache_init(). Then, following process will access more than one buckets(which memory region is not allocated) in dentry_hashtable: d_lookup b = d_hash(hash) dentry_hashtable + ((u32)hashlen >> d_hash_shift) // The C standard defines the behavior of right shift amounts // exceeding the bit width of the operand as undefined. The // result of '(u32)hashlen >> d_hash_shift' becomes 'hashlen', // so 'b' will point to an unallocated memory region. hlist_bl_for_each_entry_rcu(b) hlist_bl_first_rcu(head) h->first // read OOB! Fix it by limiting the minimal number of dentry_hashtable bucket to two, so that 'd_hash_shift' won't exceeds the bit width of type u32.
CVE-2026-31449 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-08 N/A 7.8 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ext4: validate p_idx bounds in ext4_ext_correct_indexes ext4_ext_correct_indexes() walks up the extent tree correcting index entries when the first extent in a leaf is modified. Before accessing path[k].p_idx->ei_block, there is no validation that p_idx falls within the valid range of index entries for that level. If the on-disk extent header contains a corrupted or crafted eh_entries value, p_idx can point past the end of the allocated buffer, causing a slab-out-of-bounds read. Fix this by validating path[k].p_idx against EXT_LAST_INDEX() at both access sites: before the while loop and inside it. Return -EFSCORRUPTED if the index pointer is out of range, consistent with how other bounds violations are handled in the ext4 extent tree code.
CVE-2026-56015 2026-09-07 N/A 9.1 CRITICAL
Net::IP::LPM versions before 1.11 for Perl allow a heap out-of-bounds read via an unbounded prefix length. add() passes the prefix string to the trie builder addPrefixToTrie() without checking it against the address width. addPrefixToTrie() then walks the prefix buffer by prefix_length bits, reading prefix[byte] for byte up to prefix_len/8, where prefix is the 4-byte (IPv4) or 16-byte (IPv6) packed address. A prefix length greater than 32 for IPv4 or 128 for IPv6, for example add("1.2.3.4/255", $v) or add("2001:db8::/255", $v), reads past the end of the packed address. The out-of-bounds read happens during trie construction and is bounded: the prefix length is stored as an unsigned char, so the bit walk reads at most 32 bytes from the start of the packed address, a short distance past the end of the 4-byte or 16-byte buffer. It is detectable under AddressSanitizer, valgrind, or a hardened allocator, where it can abort the process. Lookups and dump() format only the valid address width, so the out-of-bounds bytes are not exposed through the module's API.
CVE-2026-54209 2026-09-07 N/A N/A
Tobit Laboratories AG TeamDavid's Webbox application handles password changes using a function triggered by including the string "(editini)" in the file path, writing the new password to the specified "Archive.ini" file. However, the application does not verify that the provided path actually refers to an "Archive.ini" file. If an attacker specifies a different file with excessive size, a buffer overflow occurs. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to crash the server, resulting in denial of service. This issue affects TeamDavid before Rollout 528. Starting with Rollout 528 (June 30, 2026), the affected functionality is disabled by default and the vulnerabilities are therefore no longer exposed through this functionality.
CVE-2026-71222 2026-09-05 N/A 5.3 MEDIUM
A heap out-of-bounds read vulnerability was found in gfs2-utils. The ea_num_ptrs field from on-disk extended attribute metadata is consumed without bounds validation, causing a heap buffer over-read that may disclose sensitive memory contents or cause a crash when processing crafted GFS2 filesystem images.
CVE-2026-55402 1 Absolute 1 Secure Access 2026-09-04 N/A 5.9 MEDIUM
CVE-2026-55402 is an out of bounds read vulnerability in Secure Access servers prior to version 14.57. Attackers with an ‘in the middle’ position can send specially crafted data to a server causing a persistent denial of service.
CVE-2026-43820 1 Apple 1 Swiftnio Ssl 2026-09-04 N/A 7.7 HIGH
NIOSSLCertificate._subjectAlternativeNames provides access to the raw bytes for a cert's SANs. NIOSSL provides access to a buffer assumed to be backed by an ASN1_STRING, but not all SANs are backed by ASN1_STRING, so accessing the buffer for such a type can lead to out-of-bounds memory access. This vulnerability is addressed in swift-nio-ssl version 2.37.2.
CVE-2026-11803 1 Autodesk 1 Revit 2026-09-04 N/A 7.8 HIGH
A maliciously crafted PDF file, when parsed through Autodesk Revit, can force an Out-of-Bounds Read vulnerability. A malicious actor can leverage this vulnerability to cause a crash, read sensitive data, or execute arbitrary code in the context of the current process.
CVE-2026-64355 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-04 N/A 9.8 CRITICAL
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Reject fragmented frames in devmap Devmap broadcast redirects clone the packet for all but the last destination. For native XDP, that clone path copies only the linear xdp_frame data, while fragmented frames keep skb_shared_info in tailroom outside the linear area. Cloning such a frame leaves XDP_FLAGS_HAS_FRAGS set but without valid frag metadata, and the later free path can interpret uninitialized tail data as skb_shared_info, leading to an out-of-bounds access during frame return. Reject fragmented native XDP frames in dev_map_enqueue_clone(). Add the same restriction to the generic XDP clone path in dev_map_redirect_clone(). Generic XDP represents fragmented packets as nonlinear skbs, and rejecting them here keeps clone-based broadcast support aligned between native and generic XDP.
CVE-2026-64407 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-04 N/A 7.1 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btnxpuart: Fix out-of-bounds firmware read in nxp_recv_fw_req_v3() During the v3 firmware download the controller sends a v3_data_req with a 32 bit offset and a 16 bit len. nxp_recv_fw_req_v3() checks only the lower bound of the offset and then sends firmware from that offset. nxpdev->fw_dnld_v3_offset = offset - nxpdev->fw_v3_offset_correction; serdev_device_write_buf(nxpdev->serdev, nxpdev->fw->data + nxpdev->fw_dnld_v3_offset, len); Nothing checks that fw_dnld_v3_offset + len stays within nxpdev->fw->size, so a controller that asks for an offset or length past the firmware image makes the driver read past the end of nxpdev->fw->data and send that memory back over UART. nxp_recv_fw_req_v1() already bounds the same write. Add the equivalent check to the v3 path, reject the request when it falls outside the firmware image, and zero len on the error path so the fw_v3_prev_sent bookkeeping at free_skb stays consistent.
CVE-2026-73761 1 Hpe 156 Aruba Cx 10000-48y6c \(r8p13a\), Aruba Cx 10000-48y6c \(r8p14a\), Aruba Cx 10000-48y6c \(s0f98a\) and 153 more 2026-09-04 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
An out-of-bounds read vulnerability exists in the underlying operating system of AOS-CX that could lead to unauthenticated information disclosure by sending a specially crafted packet. Successful exploitation of this vulnerability results in the ability to disclose sensitive information from the underlying operating system.
CVE-2026-7405 1 Autodesk 12 Advance Steel, Autocad, Autocad Architecture and 9 more 2026-09-04 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
A maliciously crafted TIF file, when parsed through certain Autodesk products during image import, can cause an Out-of-Bounds Read in the image handling library. A malicious actor can leverage this vulnerability to cause a denial of service
CVE-2026-39956 1 Jqlang 1 Jq 2026-09-04 N/A 6.1 MEDIUM
jq is a command-line JSON processor. Prior to version 1.8.2, the _strindices builtin in jq's src/builtin.c passes its arguments directly to jv_string_indexes() without verifying they are strings, and jv_string_indexes() in src/jv.c relies solely on assert() checks that are stripped in release builds compiled with -DNDEBUG. This allows an attacker to crash jq trivially with input like _strindices(0), and by crafting a numeric value whose IEEE-754 bit pattern maps to a chosen pointer, achieve a controlled pointer dereference and limited memory read/probe primitive. Any deployment that evaluates untrusted jq filters against a release build is vulnerable. This issue has been patched in commit fdf8ef0f0810e3d365cdd5160de43db46f57ed03, which is part of version 1.8.2.
CVE-2026-84484 2026-09-04 N/A 7.5 HIGH
ION-DTN versions before 4.2.0 contain an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the decodeSdnv function that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to read memory by sending truncated SDNV values. Attackers can send a UDP datagram to the LTP link service input port with a truncated SDNV to trigger reads up to nine bytes past buffer boundaries and underflow byte counters.
CVE-2026-78009 2026-09-03 N/A N/A
An out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the WatchGuard Fireware OS iked process allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to create a Denial of Service (DoS) condition in VPN processing by sending specially crafted network traffic.
CVE-2026-19317 2026-09-03 N/A N/A
An out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the WatchGuard Fireware OS iked process allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to create a Denial of Service (DoS) condition in VPN processing by sending specially crafted network traffic.
CVE-2026-19315 2026-09-03 N/A N/A
A type confusion vulnerability in the iked process of WatchGuard Fireware OS allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code by sending specially crafted network traffic.
CVE-2026-66401 1 Freerdp 1 Freerdp 2026-09-03 N/A 2.1 LOW
FreeRDP before 3.29.0 contains an out-of-bounds heap read vulnerability in the UVC H.264 extension-unit parser that fails to validate descriptor length before accessing the GUID field. A local attacker with a malicious USB video camera can trigger a heap read beyond allocated bounds during camera stream setup, causing denial of service.
CVE-2026-67291 1 Freerdp 1 Freerdp 2026-09-03 N/A 7.5 HIGH
FreeRDP before 3.29.0 (affected versions <= 3.28.0) contains a heap out-of-bounds read in update_process_glyph_fragments()/glyph_cache_fragment_put() in libfreerdp/cache/glyph.c. When handling a GLYPH_FRAGMENT_ADD update, the code reads a one-byte server-controlled declared fragment size but does not verify it fits within the remaining received buffer before allocating and copying that many bytes. A malicious RDP server can send a short fragment with an oversized declared size, causing the client to read beyond the allocated buffer, resulting in an out-of-bounds read and client crash.
CVE-2026-64436 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-09-03 N/A 7.1 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: af_key: initialize alg_key_len for IPComp states pfkey_msg2xfrm_state() handles the IPComp (SADB_X_SATYPE_IPCOMP) case by allocating x->calg and copying only the algorithm name: x->calg = kmalloc_obj(*x->calg); if (!x->calg) { err = -ENOMEM; goto out; } strcpy(x->calg->alg_name, a->name); x->props.calgo = sa->sadb_sa_encrypt; Unlike the authentication (x->aalg) and encryption (x->ealg) branches of the same function, the compression branch never initializes calg->alg_key_len. IPComp carries no key and the allocation only reserves sizeof(struct xfrm_algo) (i.e. no room for a key), so the field is left containing uninitialized slab data. calg->alg_key_len is later used as a length by xfrm_algo_clone() when an IPComp state is cloned during XFRM_MSG_MIGRATE: xfrm_state_migrate() xfrm_state_clone_and_setup() x->calg = xfrm_algo_clone(orig->calg); kmemdup(orig, xfrm_alg_len(orig)); where xfrm_alg_len() returns sizeof(*alg) + (alg_key_len + 7) / 8. With a non-zero garbage alg_key_len, kmemdup() reads past the end of the 68-byte calg object. Adding an IPComp SA via PF_KEY and then migrating it triggers (net-next, KASAN, init_on_alloc=0): BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in kmemdup_noprof+0x44/0x60 Read of size 4164 at addr ff11000025a74980 by task diag2/9287 CPU: 3 UID: 0 PID: 9287 Comm: diag2 7.1.0-rc6-g903db046d557 #1 Call Trace: <TASK> dump_stack_lvl+0x10e/0x1f0 print_report+0xf7/0x600 kasan_report+0xe4/0x120 kasan_check_range+0x105/0x1b0 __asan_memcpy+0x23/0x60 kmemdup_noprof+0x44/0x60 xfrm_state_migrate+0x70a/0x1da0 xfrm_migrate+0x753/0x18a0 xfrm_do_migrate+0xb47/0xf10 xfrm_user_rcv_msg+0x411/0xb50 netlink_rcv_skb+0x158/0x420 xfrm_netlink_rcv+0x71/0x90 netlink_unicast+0x584/0x850 netlink_sendmsg+0x8b0/0xdc0 ____sys_sendmsg+0x9f7/0xb90 ___sys_sendmsg+0x134/0x1d0 __sys_sendmsg+0x16d/0x220 do_syscall_64+0x116/0x7d0 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x77/0x7f </TASK> Allocated by task 9287: kasan_save_stack+0x33/0x60 kasan_save_track+0x14/0x30 __kasan_kmalloc+0xaa/0xb0 pfkey_add+0x2652/0x2ea0 pfkey_process+0x6d0/0x830 pfkey_sendmsg+0x42c/0x850 __sys_sendto+0x461/0x4b0 __x64_sys_sendto+0xe0/0x1c0 do_syscall_64+0x116/0x7d0 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x77/0x7f The buggy address belongs to the object at ff11000025a74980 which belongs to the cache kmalloc-96 of size 96 The buggy address is located 0 bytes inside of allocated 68-byte region [ff11000025a74980, ff11000025a749c4) Depending on the uninitialized value the same field can instead request an oversized kmemdup() allocation and make the migration clone fail. The XFRM netlink path is not affected: verify_one_alg() rejects an XFRMA_ALG_COMP attribute shorter than xfrm_alg_len(), so a calg added via XFRM_MSG_NEWSA is always self-consistent. Initialize calg->alg_key_len to 0, matching the aalg/ealg branches.
