| CVE-2025-48384 | 3 Apple, Debian, Git-scm | 3 Xcode, Debian Linux, Git | 2026-09-24 | N/A | 8.0 HIGH |
| Git is a fast, scalable, distributed revision control system with an unusually rich command set that provides both high-level operations and full access to internals. When reading a config value, Git strips any trailing carriage return and line feed (CRLF). When writing a config entry, values with a trailing CR are not quoted, causing the CR to be lost when the config is later read. When initializing a submodule, if the submodule path contains a trailing CR, the altered path is read resulting in the submodule being checked out to an incorrect location. If a symlink exists that points the altered path to the submodule hooks directory, and the submodule contains an executable post-checkout hook, the script may be unintentionally executed after checkout. This vulnerability is fixed in v2.43.7, v2.44.4, v2.45.4, v2.46.4, v2.47.3, v2.48.2, v2.49.1, and v2.50.1. | |||||

| A slab-out-of-bound read problem was found in brcmf_get_assoc_ies in drivers/net/wireless/broadcom/brcm80211/brcmfmac/cfg80211.c in the Linux Kernel. This issue could occur when assoc_info->req_len data is bigger than the size of the buffer, defined as WL_EXTRA_BUF_MAX, leading to a denial of service. | |||||
| CVE-2023-4622 | 2 Debian, Linux | 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2026-09-17 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's af_unix component can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation. The unix_stream_sendpage() function tries to add data to the last skb in the peer's recv queue without locking the queue. Thus there is a race where unix_stream_sendpage() could access an skb locklessly that is being released by garbage collection, resulting in use-after-free. We recommend upgrading past commit 790c2f9d15b594350ae9bca7b236f2b1859de02c (or backported equivalents). | |||||

| CVE-2026-23490 | 2 Debian, Pyasn1 | 2 Debian Linux, Pyasn1 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| pyasn1 is a generic ASN.1 library for Python. Prior to 0.6.2, a Denial-of-Service issue has been found that leads to memory exhaustion from malformed RELATIVE-OID with excessive continuation octets. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.6.2. | |||||
| CVE-2025-38352 | 2 Debian, Linux | 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2026-09-08 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: posix-cpu-timers: fix race between handle_posix_cpu_timers() and posix_cpu_timer_del() If an exiting non-autoreaping task has already passed exit_notify() and calls handle_posix_cpu_timers() from IRQ, it can be reaped by its parent or debugger right after unlock_task_sighand(). If a concurrent posix_cpu_timer_del() runs at that moment, it won't be able to detect timer->it.cpu.firing != 0: cpu_timer_task_rcu() and/or lock_task_sighand() will fail. Add the tsk->exit_state check into run_posix_cpu_timers() to fix this. This fix is not needed if CONFIG_POSIX_CPU_TIMERS_TASK_WORK=y, because exit_task_work() is called before exit_notify(). But the check still makes sense, task_work_add(&tsk->posix_cputimers_work.work) will fail anyway in this case. | |||||
| CVE-2026-31431 | 10 Amazon, Arista, Canonical and 7 more | 60 Amazon Linux, Cloudvision Agni, Cloudvision Portal and 57 more | 2026-09-08 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: algif_aead - Revert to operating out-of-place This mostly reverts commit 72548b093ee3 except for the copying of the associated data. There is no benefit in operating in-place in algif_aead since the source and destination come from different mappings. Get rid of all the complexity added for in-place operation and just copy the AD directly. | |||||
| CVE-2025-38237 | 2 Debian, Linux | 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2026-09-02 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: platform: exynos4-is: Add hardware sync wait to fimc_is_hw_change_mode() In fimc_is_hw_change_mode(), the function changes camera modes without waiting for hardware completion, risking corrupted data or system hangs if subsequent operations proceed before the hardware is ready. Add fimc_is_hw_wait_intmsr0_intmsd0() after mode configuration, ensuring hardware state synchronization and stable interrupt handling. | |||||

There is a closely related issue which has been fixed: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=d6c1b3599b2feb5c7291f5ac3a36e5fa7cedb234 ... but, unfortunately, the accepted patch appears to still be susceptible to a null pointer dereference under some interleavings. To trigger the bug, we think that `JFS_SBI(ipbmap->i_sb)->bmap` is set to NULL in `dbFreeBits` and then dereferenced in `jfs_ioc_trim`. This bug manifests quite rarely under normal circumstances, but is triggereable from a syz-program. | |||||
