CVE-2026-112391 1 Python 1 Pillow 2026-10-23 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Pillow is a Python imaging library. From 5.1.0 until 13.0.0, Pillow's PdfParser.get_value() can recurse without a limit while reading nested PDF objects. The parser follows attacker-controlled arrays and dictionaries when an existing PDF is opened for append. An attacker can provide a deeply nested PDF to an application that saves an image with PDF append enabled. This can raise an uncaught RecursionError or terminate the worker, causing denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 13.0.0.
CVE-2018-20406 3 Debian, Fedoraproject, Python 3 Debian Linux, Fedora, Python 2026-10-15 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
Modules/_pickle.c in Python before 3.7.1 has an integer overflow via a large LONG_BINPUT value that is mishandled during a "resize to twice the size" attempt. This issue might cause memory exhaustion, but is only relevant if the pickle format is used for serializing tens or hundreds of gigabytes of data. This issue is fixed in: v3.4.10, v3.4.10rc1; v3.5.10, v3.5.10rc1, v3.5.7, v3.5.7rc1, v3.5.8, v3.5.8rc1, v3.5.8rc2, v3.5.9; v3.6.10, v3.6.10rc1, v3.6.11, v3.6.11rc1, v3.6.12, v3.6.7, v3.6.7rc1, v3.6.7rc2, v3.6.8, v3.6.8rc1, v3.6.9, v3.6.9rc1; v3.7.1, v3.7.1rc1, v3.7.1rc2, v3.7.2, v3.7.2rc1, v3.7.3, v3.7.3rc1, v3.7.4, v3.7.4rc1, v3.7.4rc2, v3.7.5, v3.7.5rc1, v3.7.6, v3.7.6rc1, v3.7.7, v3.7.7rc1, v3.7.8, v3.7.8rc1, v3.7.9.
CVE-2018-1061 5 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 2 more 8 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 5 more 2026-10-15 5.0 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
python before versions 2.7.15, 3.4.9, 3.5.6rc1, 3.6.5rc1 and 3.7.0 is vulnerable to catastrophic backtracking in the difflib.IS_LINE_JUNK method. An attacker could use this flaw to cause denial of service.
CVE-2023-24329 3 Fedoraproject, Netapp, Python 6 Fedora, Active Iq Unified Manager, Management Services For Element Software and 3 more 2026-10-14 N/A 7.5 HIGH
An issue in the urllib.parse component of Python before 3.11.4 allows attackers to bypass blocklisting methods by supplying a URL that starts with blank characters.
CVE-2022-48560 2 Debian, Python 2 Debian Linux, Python 2026-10-14 N/A 7.5 HIGH
A use-after-free exists in Python through 3.9 via heappushpop in heapq.
CVE-2022-45061 3 Fedoraproject, Netapp, Python 10 Fedora, Active Iq Unified Manager, Bootstrap Os and 7 more 2026-10-14 N/A 7.5 HIGH
An issue was discovered in Python before 3.11.1. An unnecessary quadratic algorithm exists in one path when processing some inputs to the IDNA (RFC 3490) decoder, such that a crafted, unreasonably long name being presented to the decoder could lead to a CPU denial of service. Hostnames are often supplied by remote servers that could be controlled by a malicious actor; in such a scenario, they could trigger excessive CPU consumption on the client attempting to make use of an attacker-supplied supposed hostname. For example, the attack payload could be placed in the Location header of an HTTP response with status code 302. A fix is planned in 3.11.1, 3.10.9, 3.9.16, 3.8.16, and 3.7.16.
CVE-2022-37454 8 Debian, Extended Keccak Code Package Project, Fedoraproject and 5 more 8 Debian Linux, Extended Keccak Code Package, Fedora and 5 more 2026-10-14 N/A 9.8 CRITICAL
The Keccak XKCP SHA-3 reference implementation before fdc6fef has an integer overflow and resultant buffer overflow that allows attackers to execute arbitrary code or eliminate expected cryptographic properties. This occurs in the sponge function interface.
CVE-2022-26488 3 Microsoft, Netapp, Python 4 Windows, Active Iq Unified Manager, Ontap Select Deploy Administration Utility and 1 more 2026-10-14 4.4 MEDIUM 7.0 HIGH
In Python before 3.10.3 on Windows, local users can gain privileges because the search path is inadequately secured. The installer may allow a local attacker to add user-writable directories to the system search path. To exploit, an administrator must have installed Python for all users and enabled PATH entries. A non-administrative user can trigger a repair that incorrectly adds user-writable paths into PATH, enabling search-path hijacking of other users and system services. This affects Python (CPython) through 3.7.12, 3.8.x through 3.8.12, 3.9.x through 3.9.10, and 3.10.x through 3.10.2.
CVE-2022-0391 4 Fedoraproject, Netapp, Oracle and 1 more 10 Fedora, Active Iq Unified Manager, Hci and 7 more 2026-10-14 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
A flaw was found in Python, specifically within the urllib.parse module. This module helps break Uniform Resource Locator (URL) strings into components. The issue involves how the urlparse method does not sanitize input and allows characters like '\r' and '\n' in the URL path. This flaw allows an attacker to input a crafted URL, leading to injection attacks. This flaw affects Python versions prior to 3.10.0b1, 3.9.5, 3.8.11, 3.7.11 and 3.6.14.
CVE-2021-28861 2 Fedoraproject, Python 2 Fedora, Python 2026-10-14 N/A 7.4 HIGH
Python 3.x through 3.10 has an open redirection vulnerability in lib/http/server.py due to no protection against multiple (/) at the beginning of URI path which may leads to information disclosure. NOTE: this is disputed by a third party because the http.server.html documentation page states "Warning: http.server is not recommended for production. It only implements basic security checks."
CVE-2021-28363 3 Fedoraproject, Oracle, Python 3 Fedora, Peoplesoft Enterprise Peopletools, Urllib3 2026-10-14 6.4 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
The urllib3 library 1.26.x before 1.26.4 for Python omits SSL certificate validation in some cases involving HTTPS to HTTPS proxies. The initial connection to the HTTPS proxy (if an SSLContext isn't given via proxy_config) doesn't verify the hostname of the certificate. This means certificates for different servers that still validate properly with the default urllib3 SSLContext will be silently accepted.
CVE-2021-23336 6 Debian, Djangoproject, Fedoraproject and 3 more 12 Debian Linux, Django, Fedora and 9 more 2026-10-14 4.0 MEDIUM 5.9 MEDIUM
The package python/cpython from 0 and before 3.6.13, from 3.7.0 and before 3.7.10, from 3.8.0 and before 3.8.8, from 3.9.0 and before 3.9.2 are vulnerable to Web Cache Poisoning via urllib.parse.parse_qsl and urllib.parse.parse_qs by using a vector called parameter cloaking. When the attacker can separate query parameters using a semicolon (;), they can cause a difference in the interpretation of the request between the proxy (running with default configuration) and the server. This can result in malicious requests being cached as completely safe ones, as the proxy would usually not see the semicolon as a separator, and therefore would not include it in a cache key of an unkeyed parameter.
CVE-2021-4189 4 Debian, Netapp, Python and 1 more 5 Debian Linux, Ontap Select Deploy Administration Utility, Python and 2 more 2026-10-14 N/A 5.3 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in Python, specifically in the FTP (File Transfer Protocol) client library in PASV (passive) mode. The issue is how the FTP client trusts the host from the PASV response by default. This flaw allows an attacker to set up a malicious FTP server that can trick FTP clients into connecting back to a given IP address and port. This vulnerability could lead to FTP client scanning ports, which otherwise would not have been possible.
CVE-2021-3737 6 Canonical, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 3 more 17 Ubuntu Linux, Fedora, Hci and 14 more 2026-10-14 7.1 HIGH 7.5 HIGH
A flaw was found in python. An improperly handled HTTP response in the HTTP client code of python may allow a remote attacker, who controls the HTTP server, to make the client script enter an infinite loop, consuming CPU time. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability.
CVE-2021-3733 4 Fedoraproject, Netapp, Python and 1 more 20 Extra Packages For Enterprise Linux, Fedora, Hci Compute Node Firmware and 17 more 2026-10-14 4.0 MEDIUM 6.5 MEDIUM
There's a flaw in urllib's AbstractBasicAuthHandler class. An attacker who controls a malicious HTTP server that an HTTP client (such as web browser) connects to, could trigger a Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDOS) during an authentication request with a specially crafted payload that is sent by the server to the client. The greatest threat that this flaw poses is to application availability.
CVE-2021-3426 6 Debian, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 3 more 10 Debian Linux, Fedora, Cloud Backup and 7 more 2026-10-14 2.7 LOW 5.7 MEDIUM
There's a flaw in Python 3's pydoc. A local or adjacent attacker who discovers or is able to convince another local or adjacent user to start a pydoc server could access the server and use it to disclose sensitive information belonging to the other user that they would not normally be able to access. The highest risk of this flaw is to data confidentiality. This flaw affects Python versions before 3.8.9, Python versions before 3.9.3 and Python versions before 3.10.0a7.
CVE-2021-3177 5 Debian, Fedoraproject, Netapp and 2 more 10 Debian Linux, Fedora, Active Iq Unified Manager and 7 more 2026-10-14 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
Python 3.x through 3.9.1 has a buffer overflow in PyCArg_repr in _ctypes/callproc.c, which may lead to remote code execution in certain Python applications that accept floating-point numbers as untrusted input, as demonstrated by a 1e300 argument to c_double.from_param. This occurs because sprintf is used unsafely.
CVE-2020-26116 7 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 4 more 9 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 6 more 2026-10-14 6.4 MEDIUM 7.2 HIGH
http.client in Python 3.x before 3.5.10, 3.6.x before 3.6.12, 3.7.x before 3.7.9, and 3.8.x before 3.8.5 allows CRLF injection if the attacker controls the HTTP request method, as demonstrated by inserting CR and LF control characters in the first argument of HTTPConnection.request.
CVE-2020-15801 3 Microsoft, Netapp, Python 3 Windows, Max Data, Python 2026-10-14 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
In Python 3.8.4, sys.path restrictions specified in a python38._pth file are ignored, allowing code to be loaded from arbitrary locations. The <executable-name>._pth file (e.g., the python._pth file) is not affected.
CVE-2020-15523 3 Microsoft, Netapp, Python 3 Windows, Snapcenter, Python 2026-10-14 6.9 MEDIUM 7.8 HIGH
In Python 3.6 through 3.6.10, 3.7 through 3.7.8, 3.8 through 3.8.4rc1, and 3.9 through 3.9.0b4 on Windows, a Trojan horse python3.dll might be used in cases where CPython is embedded in a native application. This occurs because python3X.dll may use an invalid search path for python3.dll loading (after Py_SetPath has been used). NOTE: this issue CANNOT occur when using python.exe from a standard (non-embedded) Python installation on Windows.
