CVE-2026-89247 2026-09-15 N/A 6.1 MEDIUM
WWBN AVideo at commit c3edcc274c389816d434acadac07ee78eaf330c1 and earlier contains an XML injection vulnerability in plugin/AD_Server/VMAP.php, which is reachable without authentication when the AD_Server plugin is enabled. The script emits Content-Type: application/xml and writes the timeOffset and idTag values returned by AD_Server::getVMAPSFromRequest() directly into VMAP attributes without encoding. Those values originate from the base64- and JSON-decoded $_REQUEST['vmaps'] parameter, which is not covered by $securityFilter in objects/security.php. A remote attacker can craft a vmaps value (containing a non-empty VAST.campaing entry) and induce a user to open the resulting VMAP URL or a video page using it, injecting arbitrary <vmap:AdBreak> and <vmap:AdTagURI>/AdSource nodes into the generated XML. The player's IMA path (afterVideoJS -> PlayerSkins::setIMAADTag) then requests the attacker-supplied ad URLs, resulting in ad injection and cross-origin requests from the victim's playback session. The issue was unfixed at the time of reporting.
CVE-2026-2310 2026-09-11 N/A 7.8 HIGH
IBM webMethods Integration Server 11.1 IBM webMethods Integration is vulnerable to an XML external entity injection (XXE) attack when processing XML data. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to expose sensitive information or consume memory resources.
CVE-2026-41674 2026-09-10 N/A 7.5 HIGH
xmldom is a pure JavaScript W3C standard-based (XML DOM Level 2 Core) `DOMParser` and `XMLSerializer` module. In @xmldom/xmldom prior to versions 0.9.10 and 0.8.13 and xmldom version 0.6.0 and prior, the package serializes DocumentType node fields (internalSubset, publicId, systemId) verbatim without any escaping or validation. When these fields are set programmatically to attacker-controlled strings, XMLSerializer.serializeToString can produce output where the DOCTYPE declaration is terminated early and arbitrary markup appears outside it. This issue has been patched in versions @xmldom/xmldom versions 0.9.10 and 0.8.13.
CVE-2026-83617 2026-09-08 N/A N/A
xmldom is a pure JavaScript W3C standard-based (XML DOM Level 2 Core) DOMParser and XMLSerializer module. From 0.9.11 until 0.9.12, the requireWellFormed: true element and attribute name checks use the anchored QName_exact expression produced by reg() in lib/grammar.js, which inherits the multiline flag. A name with a valid first line followed by U+000A, U+000D, U+2028, or U+2029 and breakout markup therefore passes validation and is emitted verbatim in element start and end tags or attribute names. This bypasses the strict-serialization checks introduced for the earlier element-name and attribute-name injection advisories, while the default serialization path remains outside the strict guarantee. This issue is fixed in @xmldom/xmldom version 0.9.12.
CVE-2026-83618 2026-09-08 N/A N/A
xmldom is a pure JavaScript W3C standard-based (XML DOM Level 2 Core) DOMParser and XMLSerializer module. From 0.9.10 until 0.9.12, the requireWellFormed: true serializer validates DocumentType.publicId and DocumentType.systemId with PubidLiteral_match and SystemLiteral_match expressions produced by reg() in lib/grammar.js, which inherit the multiline flag. A complete valid literal on the first line can therefore satisfy the matcher while U+000A, U+000D, U+2028, or U+2029 and breakout markup remain in the emitted declaration. This bypasses the strict-serialization mitigation for the earlier DocumentType injection advisory; creation and direct property assignment remain unvalidated by design. This issue is fixed in @xmldom/xmldom version 0.9.12.
CVE-2026-83609 2026-09-08 N/A N/A
xmldom is a pure JavaScript W3C standard-based (XML DOM Level 2 Core) DOMParser and XMLSerializer module. From 0.9.0 until 0.9.12, the shared reg() builder in lib/grammar.js compiles the anchored QName_exact validator with the multiline flag, so ^ and $ validate only one line instead of the complete name. createElementNS, createAttributeNS, createDocumentType, and createAttribute consequently accept a malformed XML name whose first line is valid and whose later text injects markup when serialized through either the default path or requireWellFormed: true. The triggering ECMAScript line terminators are U+000A, U+000D, U+2028, and U+2029. This issue is fixed in @xmldom/xmldom version 0.9.12.
CVE-2026-83605 2026-09-08 N/A N/A
xmldom is a pure JavaScript W3C standard-based (XML DOM Level 2 Core) DOMParser and XMLSerializer module. Prior to @xmldom/xmldom versions 0.8.14 and 0.9.11, and in xmldom version 0.6.0 and earlier, Element.setAttribute() calls the private _createAttribute(name) path without validating the attribute name, while Document.createAttribute(name) validates against QName. XMLSerializer.serializeToString() emits attribute names verbatim, and requireWellFormed: true did not validate them, so a crafted name can terminate the intended attribute and inject additional attributes, including event handlers, into browser-consumed output; synthesized xmlns:PREFIX declarations expose the same unchecked-name boundary. This issue is fixed in @xmldom/xmldom versions 0.8.14 and 0.9.11; no fixed version is available for xmldom.
CVE-2026-83607 2026-09-08 N/A N/A
xmldom is a pure JavaScript W3C standard-based (XML DOM Level 2 Core) DOMParser and XMLSerializer module. Prior to @xmldom/xmldom versions 0.8.14 and 0.9.11, and in xmldom version 0.6.0 and earlier, Document.createElement(tagName) stores an unvalidated element name and XMLSerializer.serializeToString() emits that name verbatim. The requireWellFormed: true path did not validate the element qualified name or synthesized xmlns:PREFIX declaration, so attacker-controlled tag names could inject attributes, elements, or processing instructions into serialized XML or HTML and could cause cross-site scripting when browser-consumed. The unchecked values violate the XML QName constraint, and default serialization and creation-time createElement() behavior remain permissive. This issue is fixed in @xmldom/xmldom versions 0.8.14 and 0.9.11; no fixed version is available for xmldom.
CVE-2026-83608 2026-09-08 N/A N/A
xmldom is a pure JavaScript W3C standard-based (XML DOM Level 2 Core) DOMParser and XMLSerializer module. Prior to @xmldom/xmldom versions 0.8.15 and 0.9.12, and in xmldom version 0.6.0 and earlier, the DOCUMENT_TYPE_NODE branch in lib/dom.js validates publicId, systemId, and internalSubset under requireWellFormed: true but emits DocumentType.name verbatim. A name containing > or whitespace can terminate the declaration and inject sibling markup; the value can be supplied through createDocumentType() on the 0.8.x and unscoped lines or through a direct DocumentType.name property write on every affected line. The default path and legacy creation-time behavior remain permissive, while the vulnerable strict path fails to enforce an XML Name. This issue is fixed in @xmldom/xmldom versions 0.8.15 and 0.9.12; no fixed version is available for xmldom.
CVE-2026-83616 2026-09-08 N/A N/A
xmldom is a pure JavaScript W3C standard-based (XML DOM Level 2 Core) DOMParser and XMLSerializer module. Prior to @xmldom/xmldom versions 0.8.15 and 0.9.12, and in xmldom version 0.6.0 and earlier, Document.createProcessingInstruction(target, data) in lib/dom.js accepts an unvalidated target, while the requireWellFormed: true serializer checks only for a colon and the reserved case-insensitive xml name on 0.9.x and performs no target check on 0.8.x. Because serialization emits <?target data?>, a target containing >, ?, whitespace, or another invalid XML-name character can break the processing-instruction boundary and inject XML structure. This issue is fixed in @xmldom/xmldom versions 0.8.15 and 0.9.12; no fixed version is available for xmldom.
CVE-2026-41675 2026-08-28 N/A 7.5 HIGH
xmldom is a pure JavaScript W3C standard-based (XML DOM Level 2 Core) `DOMParser` and `XMLSerializer` module. In @xmldom/xmldom prior to versions 0.9.10 and 0.8.13 and xmldom version 0.6.0 and prior, the package allows attacker-controlled processing instruction data to be serialized into XML without validating or neutralizing the PI-closing sequence ?>. As a result, an attacker can terminate the processing instruction early and inject arbitrary XML nodes into the serialized output. This issue has been patched in versions @xmldom/xmldom versions 0.9.10 and 0.8.13.
CVE-2026-41672 2026-08-28 N/A 7.5 HIGH
xmldom is a pure JavaScript W3C standard-based (XML DOM Level 2 Core) `DOMParser` and `XMLSerializer` module. In @xmldom/xmldom prior to versions 0.9.10 and 0.8.13 and xmldom version 0.6.0 and prior, the package allows attacker-controlled comment content to be serialized into XML without validating or neutralizing comment-breaking sequences. As a result, an attacker can terminate the comment early and inject arbitrary XML nodes into the serialized output. This issue has been patched in versions @xmldom/xmldom versions 0.9.10 and 0.8.13.
CVE-2026-47080 2026-08-24 N/A N/A
XML Injection vulnerability in joshnuss xml_builder (XmlBuilder module) allows Content Spoofing, XML Injection. This vulnerability is associated with program files lib/xml_builder.ex and program routines XmlBuilder.generate/1, XmlBuilder.generate/2, XmlBuilder.escape/1. The escape/1 clause for {:cdata, data} in lib/xml_builder.ex concatenates data verbatim between the CDATA opener and closer without rewriting or splitting on the embedded sequence. Because CDATA sections have no internal escape mechanism, the only safe way to embed arbitrary bytes is to split on and emit adjacent CDATA sections. An attacker who can supply input containing closes the CDATA section early; any bytes that follow are parsed as ordinary XML markup by downstream consumers, allowing injection of arbitrary elements, text, or entity references into the output document. This issue affects xml_builder: from 0.0.7 before 2.4.1.
CVE-2026-48590 2026-08-24 N/A N/A
XML Injection vulnerability in joshnuss xml_builder (XmlBuilder module) allows Content Spoofing, XML Injection. This vulnerability is associated with program files lib/xml_builder.ex and program routines XmlBuilder.generate/1, XmlBuilder.generate/2, XmlBuilder.element/1, XmlBuilder.element/2, XmlBuilder.element/3. Element names, attribute names, and doctype identifiers are interpolated verbatim into the serialized XML output without validation or escaping of structural characters (<, >, ", ', &). An attacker who can influence a name argument (for example, an element name derived from a JSON object key or an HTTP form field name) can inject arbitrary XML markup including extra elements, comments, and event-handler attributes into the output document. This issue affects xml_builder: from 0.0.1 before 2.4.1.
CVE-2026-24329 2026-08-14 N/A 4.9 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in wildfly-core. A remote user authenticated as an administrative user can inject a malformed payload into the Inet Address field through the Management Model. This injection causes the server to crash and become unrecoverable, as the payload is written into the standalone.xml configuration file. Manual intervention is required to restore server operation, leading to a denial of service.
CVE-2022-20729 1 Cisco 1 Secure Firewall Threat Defense 2026-08-11 4.6 MEDIUM 4.4 MEDIUM
A vulnerability in CLI of Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an authenticated, local attacker to inject XML into the command parser. This vulnerability is due to insufficient input validation. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by including crafted input in commands. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to inject XML into the command parser, which could result in unexpected processing of the command and unexpected command output.
CVE-2025-1545 1 Watchguard 34 Firebox M270, Firebox M290, Firebox M370 and 31 more 2026-08-10 N/A 7.5 HIGH
An XPath Injection vulnerability in WatchGuard Fireware OS may allow a remote unauthenticated attacker to retrieve sensitive information from the Firebox configuration through an exposed authentication or management web interface. This vulnerability only affects Firebox systems that have at least one authentication hotspot configured.
CVE-2026-59728 2026-07-28 N/A 4.3 MEDIUM
Astro is a web framework for content-driven websites. In versions 1.0.0 through 4.0.18, the source.title and enclosure.type item fields in packages/astro-rss/src/index.ts are interpolated directly into XML template strings without XML-character escaping before being parsed by fast-xml-parser. Both fields are validated only as z.string(), placing no restriction on XML special characters. An attacker who controls these values can inject arbitrary XML into the generated RSS feed: a value containing " can break out of an attribute (as with enclosure.type), and a value containing can close an element early and inject additional nodes (as with source.title). This corrupts feed structure, injects false metadata (for example, a fake
pointing to a malicious URL), and can cause feed readers to misparse or display attacker-controlled content. In SSR mode (output: 'server'), the poisoned feed is served on every request to all subscribers. This issue has been fixed in version 4.0.19.
CVE-2026-15037 2026-07-23 N/A N/A
Improper output neutralization (XML injection) in QDom comment, CDATA, and processing-instruction serialization in Qt XML from 4.0.0 through 6.11 allows untrusted text serialized by an application into those nodes to inject arbitrary XML markup, because the node terminators are not escaped under the default InvalidDataPolicy (AcceptInvalidChars). Fixed in Qt 6.12.
CVE-2026-40165 2026-07-23 N/A 8.7 HIGH
authentik is an open-source identity provider. Versions 2025.12.4 and prior, and versions 2026.2.0-rc1 through 2026.2.2 were vulnerable to Authentication Bypass through SAML NameID XML Comment Injection. Due to how authentik extracted the NameID value from a SAML assertion, it was possible for an attacker to trick authentik into only seeing a part of the NameID value, potentially allowing an attacker to gain access to other accounts. This issue could be exploited on an authentik instance with a SAML Source, where the attacker had an account on the SAML Source and the ability to modify their NameID value (commonly username or E-mail), and XML Signing was enabled. The attacker could modify the SAML assertion given to authentik by injecting a comment within the NameID value, which effectively truncated the NameID value to the snippet before the comment, and gave the attacker access to any user account. This issue has been fixed in versions 2025.12.5 and 2026.2.3.
