CVE-2026-76219 1 Gitpython Project 1 Gitpython 2026-09-03 N/A 8.1 HIGH
GitPython versions before 3.1.58 contain an arbitrary file overwrite vulnerability in IndexFile.from_tree, IndexFile.reset, and IndexFile.merge_tree methods that append caller-influenced treeish strings to git read-tree without option validation or argument separation. Attackers can inject the --index-output option to overwrite arbitrary files with a valid git-index blob, destroying existing file content at attacker-controlled writable paths.
CVE-2026-76218 1 Gitpython Project 1 Gitpython 2026-09-03 N/A 7.5 HIGH
GitPython before 3.1.58 contains a remote code execution vulnerability in Repo.init that forwards unsafe git options without validation. Attackers can supply a template parameter pointing to a directory with malicious git hooks that execute arbitrary code when git operations are performed on the initialized repository.
CVE-2026-78676 1 Gitpython Project 1 Gitpython 2026-09-02 N/A 9.8 CRITICAL
GitPython before 3.1.59 fails to safely re-serialize multi-line git-config values during write operations, corrupting dormant quoted values into injected directives like core.hooksPath. Attackers can craft config files with embedded newlines that become live git directives after any unrelated GitPython config write, enabling arbitrary code execution via hook invocation.
CVE-2026-78678 1 Gitpython Project 1 Gitpython 2026-09-02 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
GitPython versions before 3.1.59 contain an incomplete denylist in the unsafe_git_revision_options guard that omits --contents and -S options, allowing attackers to read arbitrary files by passing these options to Repo.blame(). Attackers can supply revision values like --contents=/etc/passwd to leak file contents through the blame result returned to the caller.
CVE-2026-79685 2026-09-01 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
Dell PowerStore contains an Argument Injection vulnerability. An authenticated user with limited privileges could potentially exploit this vulnerability to gain unauthorized access to sensitive sensitive system information.
CVE-2026-79675 1 Nltk 1 Nltk 2026-09-01 N/A 9.8 CRITICAL
NLTK before 3.10.3 fails to validate JVM options passed through the per-call options parameter in the java() function, allowing attackers to inject dangerous JVM flags. Attackers can supply malicious options like -agentpath, -javaagent, or @argfile to Stanford wrapper classes to achieve arbitrary code execution.
CVE-2026-76212 1 Phpmyfaq 1 Phpmyfaq 2026-09-01 N/A 5.3 MEDIUM
phpMyFAQ before 4.1.7, when configured to use PostgreSQL via the native pgsql PHP extension, declares an incorrect LIKE ESCAPE character ('=') in the Search/Database/Pgsql.php backend while escapeLikeWildcards() escapes user input with the '|' prefix. As a result, wildcard escaping is a no-op and user-supplied % and _ characters remain active LIKE wildcards. An unauthenticated attacker can submit such characters in the public FAQ search form to force maximally broad pattern matches and expensive sequential scans, resulting in a denial of service. The PDO PostgreSQL backend is not affected, and quotes remain escaped so this does not enable quote-breaking SQL injection or data exfiltration.
CVE-2026-81529 2026-08-28 N/A 7.1 HIGH
Improper neutralization of delimiters in connection-URL construction allows connection-option injection in the MongoDB C# Driver. When an application passes untrusted text into the driver's connection-URL builder and round-trips the builder back into a client configuration, the untrusted text is serialized without neutralizing the URL/option delimiters and is then re-parsed as authoritative connection options. A low-privileged user of such an application can thereby introduce or suppress security-relevant connection settings.
CVE-2026-42266 1 Jupyter 1 Jupyterlab 2026-08-28 N/A 8.8 HIGH
JupyterLab is an extensible environment for interactive and reproducible computing, based on the Jupyter Notebook Architecture. From 4.0.0 to 4.5.6, the allow-list of extensions that can be installed from PyPI Extension Manager (allowed_extensions_uris) is not correctly enforced by JupyterLab. The PyPI Extension Manager was not contained to packages listed on the default PyPI index. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.5.7.
CVE-2026-63046 1 Apache 1 Inlong 2026-08-27 N/A 8.8 HIGH
Improper Neutralization of Argument Delimiters in a Command ('Argument Injection') vulnerability in Apache InLong. Agent Installer's ModuleManager executes arbitrary shell commands via ExcuteLinux.exeCmd() with no filtering or whitelist validation. This issue affects Apache InLong: from 2.0.0 before 2.4.0. Users are advised to upgrade to Apache InLong's 2.4.0 or cherry-pick [1]/[2] to solve it. [1]  https://github.com/apache/inlong/pull/12151 . CVE-2026-71212 2026-08-26 N/A 4.4 MEDIUM
xidown (a yt-dlp/ffmpeg GUI wrapper) builds its yt-dlp command-line invocation (xidown/core/scanner.py and downloader.py) by appending the user-provided or scanned URL as a bare trailing positional argument, with no '--' end-of-options marker and no scheme validation anywhere in the codebase.
CVE-2026-80427 2026-08-26 N/A 8.4 HIGH
bestzip builds the argument list for the system zip utility without separating options from operands. The destination archive path and the caller-supplied source paths are passed to the child process with no -- delimiter between them, so any source entry beginning with a hyphen is interpreted by zip as an option rather than a file name. zip accepts -T to test the finished archive and -TT to name the command used to perform that test, so a source list containing those two entries and a command string causes zip to run that command through a shell once the archive has been written. An application that passes a file name or path it received from an untrusted source into the bestzip API therefore executes a command of the supplier's choosing. Versions 2.2.6 and 3.0.2 add the delimiter.
CVE-2026-16770 2026-08-26 N/A 9.8 CRITICAL
PDF::WebKit versions through 1.2 for Perl allow argument injection into wkhtmltopdf via meta tags in the source document. For an HTML string or file source, the constructor collects every <meta name="pdf-webkit-KEY" content="VALUE"> element in the document head through _pdf_webkit_meta_tags and turns each one into a wkhtmltopdf command line option. KEY is normalized to an option name matching --[a-z0-9-]+ but is not checked against an allow list, VALUE is passed through unchanged as the argument that follows it, and a VALUE of "yes" emits the option as a bare flag. BUILD merges the meta derived options last, so they also override the module defaults and the options passed to new. Switches such as --enable-local-file-access and --cookie-jar are reachable this way. The renderer is executed with an argument list rather than a shell command, so this is argument injection and not shell injection. Any caller that renders untrusted HTML lets the document choose the renderer's options and override those set by the application, including options that read local files into the resulting PDF or write to a chosen path. A URL source is not scanned, and the scan is skipped when XML::LibXML, a recommended dependency, is not installed.
CVE-2026-78637 2026-08-26 7.5 HIGH 7.3 HIGH
A vulnerability was detected in Fdawgs node-poppler up to 9.1.2/10.0.1. The impacted element is the function pdfInfo/pdfToText/pdfToCairo/pdfToPpm/pdfImages/pdfToHtml/pdfToPs/pdfFonts/pdfDetach/pdfAttach/pdfSeparate/pdfUnite of the file src/index.js of the component Argument Injection Handler. Performing a manipulation of the argument file_path results in argument injection. The attack may be initiated remotely. The patch is named db6e3f79d3beb20601be7e59669c39811ae3c330. It is recommended to apply a patch to fix this issue.
CVE-2026-65770 1 Microsoft 1 Azure Managed Instance For Apache Cassandra 2026-08-25 N/A 10.0 CRITICAL
Improper neutralization of argument delimiters in a command ('argument injection') in Azure Managed Instance for Apache Cassandra allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network.
CVE-2026-68766 2026-08-24 N/A 7.8 HIGH
hashcat fails to restrict command-line options when parsing restore files, allowing attackers to inject output-redirecting options like --outfile and --potfile-path. Attackers can craft restore files with malicious options to append attacker-controlled content to arbitrary files, enabling code execution when targeting shell startup files.
CVE-2026-4145 1 Lenovo 1 Software Fix 2026-08-24 N/A 7.8 HIGH
During an internal security assessment, a potential vulnerability was discovered in Lenovo Software Fix that could allow a local authenticated user to perform arbitrary code execution with elevated privileges.
CVE-2026-40938 1 Linuxfoundation 1 Tekton Pipelines 2026-08-24 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Tekton Pipelines project provides k8s-style resources for declaring CI/CD-style pipelines. Starting in version 1.0.0 and prior to versions 1.0.2, 1.3.4, 1.6.2, 1.9.3, and 1.11.1, the git resolver's revision parameter is passed directly as a positional argument to git fetch without any validation that it does not begin with a - character. Because git parses flags from mixed positional arguments, an attacker can inject arbitrary git fetch flags such as --upload-pack=<binary>. Combined with the validateRepoURL function explicitly permitting URLs that begin with / (local filesystem paths), a tenant who can submit ResolutionRequest objects can chain these two behaviors to execute an arbitrary binary on the resolver pod. The tekton-pipelines-resolvers ServiceAccount holds cluster-wide get/list/watch on all Secrets, so code execution on the resolver pod enables full cluster-wide secret exfiltration. Versions 1.0.2, 1.3.4, 1.6.2, 1.9.3, and 1.11.1 fix the issue.
CVE-2026-62867 2026-08-21 N/A 9.9 CRITICAL
Incus is a system container and virtual machine manager. Prior to version 7.3.0, improper validation of user-provided `block.create_options` in storage volume configuration leads to argument injection in the constructed filesystem creation command line. This allows a project-scoped user to inject arbitrary arguments into the binary executed as root. Version 7.3.0 patches the issue.
CVE-2026-68939 2026-08-18 N/A N/A
Pyenv provides simple Python version management. Prior to 2.8.0, is_version_safe() in libexec/pyenv-version-file-read accepts shell glob metacharacters in .python-version values, and unquoted PYENV_VERSION expansion in libexec/pyenv-version-name, libexec/pyenv-which, libexec/pyenv-prefix, libexec/pyenv-local, libexec/pyenv-global, libexec/pyenv-version, and libexec/pyenv-versions pathname-expands the value against the current directory, allowing a matching attacker-controlled file to silently select a different installed interpreter or version. This issue is fixed in version 2.8.0.
