Affected by this issue is the function org.HdrHistogram.AbstractHistogram.decodeFromCompressedByteBuffer of the file src/main/java/org/HdrHistogram/AbstractHistogram.java. The manipulation of the argument lengthOfCompressedContents results in uncontrolled memory allocation. The attack needs to be approached locally. The exploit is now public and may be used. It is still unclear if this vulnerability genuinely exists. This issue is disputed due to the potential lack of crossing of security boundaries and the pre-requisites for a successful attack.
CVE-2026-58559 2026-07-15 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
DoS vulnerability in the vibration service. Impact: Successful exploitation of this vulnerability may affect availability.
CVE-2026-25985 1 Imagemagick 1 Imagemagick 2026-07-15 N/A 7.5 HIGH
ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to versions 7.1.2-15 and 6.9.13-40, a crafted SVG file containing an malicious element causes ImageMagick to attempt to allocate ~674 GB of memory, leading to an out-of-memory abort. Versions 7.1.2-15 and 6.9.13-40 contain a patch.
CVE-2026-52753 1 Nsa 1 Ghidra 2026-07-14 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
Ghidra before 12.0.3 contains an out-of-memory vulnerability in the rust_demangle function that allocates unbounded output buffers without size limits. Attackers can craft malicious Rust symbol names in binaries to trigger exponential memory allocation, causing process crashes during binary analysis.
CVE-2026-32836 1 Mackron 1 Dr Libs 2026-07-14 N/A 6.2 MEDIUM
dr_libs dr_flac.h version 0.13.3 and earlier (fixed in commits fefced4, 4f5a4cd, and 663239a) contain an uncontrolled memory allocation vulnerability in drflac__read_and_decode_metadata() that allows attackers to trigger excessive memory allocation by supplying crafted PICTURE metadata blocks. Attackers can exploit attacker-controlled mimeLength and descriptionLength fields to cause denial of service through memory exhaustion when processing FLAC streams with metadata callbacks.
CVE-2026-22188 1 Cmu 1 Panda3d 2026-07-14 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
The deploy-stub component in Panda3D versions up to and including 1.10.16 contains a denial of service vulnerability due to unbounded stack allocation. The deploy-stub executable allocates argv_copy and argv_copy2 using alloca() based directly on the attacker-controlled argc value without validation. Supplying a large number of command-line arguments can exhaust stack space and propagate uninitialized stack memory into Python interpreter initialization, resulting in a reliable crash and undefined behavior.
CVE-2026-55782 2026-07-14 N/A N/A
NanaZip is the 7-Zip derivative intended for the modern Windows experience. Prior to 6.5.1749.0, NanaZip's WebAssembly archive handler in NanaZip.Codecs.Archive.WebAssembly.cpp allocates buffers from attacker-controlled 32-bit section and custom-name length fields without validating them against the data present in the file. A tiny crafted module can force multi-gigabyte allocations during listing or extraction through NameSize, Information.Size, and std::string or vector allocation paths, causing memory exhaustion or process termination. This issue is fixed in version 6.5.1749.0.
CVE-2026-55213 2026-07-13 N/A 7.5 HIGH
h2o is an HTTP server with support for HTTP/1.x, HTTP/2 and HTTP/3. Prior to commit edd7a120bfc4af11ac0cbebce2a43cc1f93f9af1, when h2o processes a QPACK instruction sent from the peer over HTTP/3, lib/http3/qpack.c might allocate an on-stack buffer as large as approximately 800 KB by calling alloca, which exceeds the default pthread stack size used by musl libc and causes the h2o server to crash with a segmentation fault while touching the guard page. This issue is fixed in commit edd7a120bfc4af11ac0cbebce2a43cc1f93f9af1.
CVE-2026-55781 2026-07-10 N/A N/A
NanaZip is the 7-Zip derivative intended for the modern Windows experience. Prior to 6.5.1749.0, NanaZip's UFS and FFS image handler in NanaZip.Codecs.Archive.Ufs.cpp validates the superblock block size only against the MINBSIZE lower bound and does not validate the fs_fsize fragment size, allowing attacker-controlled 32-bit fields to flow into indirect-block, directory, and extraction buffer allocations. A tiny crafted UFS image can force multi-gigabyte allocations during open or extraction, causing memory exhaustion or process termination. This issue is fixed in version 6.5.1749.0.
CVE-2026-15053 1 Tanium 1 Server 2026-07-10 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Tanium addressed a denial of service vulnerability in Tanium Server.
CVE-2026-40006 2026-07-10 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Memory Allocation with Excessive Size Value, Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling, Missing Authentication for Critical Function vulnerability in Apache IoTDB. When pipe_air_gap_receiver_enabled=true, the IoTDB AirGap pipe receiver accepts raw TCP connections on port 9780 with no authentication. The readLength method reads an attacker-controlled 32-bit integer from the socket and readData passes it directly to new byte[length] with no upper-bound check. An unauthenticated attacker can cause the JVM to attempt an allocation of up to 2,147,483,647 bytes per connection, exhausting heap memory and crashing or severely degrading the DataNode process. This issue affects Apache IoTDB: from 1.0.0 before 2.0.10. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.0.10, which fixes the issue.
CVE-2026-14454 1 Tonycoz 1 Imager 2026-07-10 N/A 9.8 CRITICAL
Imager versions before 1.033 for Perl treat unsigned EXIF IFD entry counts as signed. Imager mishandled large EXIF IFD entry count values, treating them as negative numbers. This could lead to an attempt to allocate a block nearly the size of the address space, which fails and kills the process. An attacker could craft an image with EXIF data that terminates a worker process.
CVE-2026-42582 1 Netty 1 Netty 2026-07-10 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Netty is an asynchronous, event-driven network application framework. Prior to 4.2.13.Final, when decoding header blocks, the non-Huffman branch of io.netty.handler.codec.http3.QpackDecoder#decodeHuffmanEncodedLiteral may execute new byte[length] for a string literal before verifying that length bytes are actually present in the compressed field section. The wire encoding allows a very large length to be expressed in few bytes. There is no check that length <= in.readableBytes() before new byte[length]. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.2.13.Final.
CVE-2026-59938 1 Pypdf Project 1 Pypdf 2026-07-09 N/A 5.3 MEDIUM
pypdf is a free and open-source pure-python PDF library. Prior to 6.14.0, an attacker can craft a PDF with declared image size values that are much too large compared to the actual data, causing large memory usage in pypdf image parsing. This issue is fixed in version 6.14.0.
CVE-2026-55079 1 Coder 1 Coder 2026-07-08 N/A 4.9 MEDIUM
Coder allows organizations to provision remote development environments via Terraform. Starting in version 2.24.0 and prior to versions 2.29.7, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2, `NewDataBuilder` in `provisionersdk/proto/dataupload.go` allocated a byte slice using the client-supplied `FileSize` from a `DataUpload` message without an upper-bound check. Although the DRPC wire limit is 4 MiB, the `FileSize` value itself was unconstrained. The fix in versions 2.29.7, 2.32.7, 2.33.8, and 2.34.2 validates `FileSize` against an upper bound (`MaxFileSize = 100 MiB`) before allocation. As a workaround, restrict access to the provisioner daemon serve endpoint to trusted provisioner daemon service accounts.
CVE-2026-55379 1 Python 1 Pillow 2026-07-07 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Pillow is a Python imaging library. Prior to 12.3.0, PIL/BdfFontFile.py bdf_char() read the BBX width and height field from a BDF font file and passed attacker-controlled dimensions to Image.new() without calling Image._decompression_bomb_check(), bypassing Pillow's documented decompression bomb protection and allowing excessive memory allocation. This issue is fixed in version 12.3.0.
CVE-2026-55380 1 Python 1 Pillow 2026-07-07 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Pillow is a Python imaging library. Prior to 12.3.0, PIL/GdImageFile.py GdImageFile._open() read image dimensions from the GD 2.x header and stored them in self._size without calling Image._decompression_bomb_check(), allowing a crafted .gd file to trigger excessive C-heap allocation when loaded. This issue is fixed in version 12.3.0.
CVE-2026-54060 1 Python 1 Pillow 2026-07-07 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Pillow is a Python imaging library. Prior to 12.3.0, PIL/FontFile.py FontFile.compile() assembled per-glyph images into a combined bitmap with Image.new("1", (xsize, ysize)) without calling Image._decompression_bomb_check(), allowing a font to trigger excessive allocation during conversion or saving. This issue is fixed in version 12.3.0.
CVE-2026-54059 1 Python 1 Pillow 2026-07-07 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Pillow is a Python imaging library. Prior to 12.3.0, PIL/PcfFontFile.py _load_bitmaps() read glyph dimensions from the PCF METRICS section and passed them directly to Image.frombytes() without calling Image._decompression_bomb_check(), allowing crafted PCF font data to cause excessive memory allocation. This issue is fixed in version 12.3.0.
