The issue could occur while copying VGA data in cirrus_bitblt_cputovideo. A privileged user inside guest could use this flaw to crash the QEMU process OR potentially execute arbitrary code on host with privileges of the QEMU process.
CVE-2017-2615 5 Citrix, Debian, Qemu and 2 more 10 Xenserver, Debian Linux, Qemu and 7 more 2026-06-17 9.0 HIGH 5.5 MEDIUM
Quick emulator (QEMU) built with the Cirrus CLGD 54xx VGA emulator support is vulnerable to an out-of-bounds access issue. It could occur while copying VGA data via bitblt copy in backward mode. A privileged user inside a guest could use this flaw to crash the QEMU process resulting in DoS or potentially execute arbitrary code on the host with privileges of QEMU process on the host.
CVE-2017-2581 1 Netpbm Project 1 Netpbm 2026-06-17 6.8 MEDIUM 4.5 MEDIUM
An out-of-bounds write vulnerability was found in netpbm before 10.61. A maliciously crafted file could cause the application to crash or possibly allow code execution.
CVE-2017-2580 1 Netpbm Project 1 Netpbm 2026-06-17 6.8 MEDIUM 4.5 MEDIUM
An out-of-bounds write vulnerability was found in netpbm before 10.61. A maliciously crafted file could cause the application to crash or possibly allow code execution.
CVE-2017-2520 2 Apple, Debian 5 Iphone Os, Mac Os X, Tvos and 2 more 2026-06-17 7.5 HIGH 9.8 CRITICAL
An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. iOS before 10.3.2 is affected. macOS before 10.12.5 is affected. tvOS before 10.2.1 is affected. watchOS before 3.2.2 is affected. The issue involves the "SQLite" component. It allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (buffer overflow and application crash) via a crafted SQL statement.
CVE-2017-20229 1 Invisible-island 1 Mawk 2026-06-17 N/A 9.8 CRITICAL
MAWK 1.3.3-17 and prior contains a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability that allows attackers to execute arbitrary code by exploiting inadequate boundary checks on user-supplied input. Attackers can craft malicious input that overflows the stack buffer and execute a return-oriented programming chain to spawn a shell with application privileges.
CVE-2017-20228 1 Flatassembler 1 Flat Assembler 2026-06-17 N/A 8.4 HIGH
Flat Assembler 1.71.21 contains a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability that allows local attackers to execute arbitrary code by supplying oversized input to the application. Attackers can craft malicious assembly input exceeding 5895 bytes to overwrite the instruction pointer and execute return-oriented programming chains for shell command execution.
CVE-2017-20227 1 Varaneckas 1 Jad Java Decompiler 2026-06-17 N/A 9.8 CRITICAL
JAD Java Decompiler 1.5.8e-1kali1 and prior contains a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability that allows attackers to execute arbitrary code by supplying overly long input that exceeds buffer boundaries.
