CVE-2024-20481 1 Cisco 2 Adaptive Security Appliance Software, Secure Firewall Threat Defense 2026-08-11 N/A 5.8 MEDIUM
A vulnerability in the Remote Access VPN (RAVPN) service of Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) of the RAVPN service. This vulnerability is due to resource exhaustion. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a large number of VPN authentication requests to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to exhaust resources, resulting in a DoS of the RAVPN service on the affected device. Depending on the impact of the attack, a reload of the device may be required to restore the RAVPN service. Services that are not related to VPN are not affected. Cisco Talos discussed these attacks in the blog post Large-scale brute-force activity targeting VPNs, SSH services with commonly used login credentials.
CVE-2023-20095 1 Cisco 2 Adaptive Security Appliance Software, Secure Firewall Threat Defense 2026-08-11 N/A 8.6 HIGH
A vulnerability in the remote access VPN feature of Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on an affected device. This vulnerability is due to improper handling of HTTPS requests. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted HTTPS requests to an affected system. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause resource exhaustion, resulting in a DoS condition.
CVE-2026-20124 2026-08-06 N/A 7.7 HIGH
A vulnerability in the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) subsystem of Cisco IOS XE Software could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to cause an affected device to reload, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition. This vulnerability is due to improper error handling when parsing SNMP requests. This vulnerability affects all versions of SNMP — Versions 1, 2c, and 3. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a malformed SNMP request to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to cause the device to reload unexpectedly. The attacker must have the SNMPv1 or v2c read-only or read-write community string or valid SNMPv3 user credentials on the affected device.
CVE-2026-61387 1 Eclipse 1 Milo 2026-08-05 N/A 7.5 HIGH
In Eclipse Milo versions 1.0.0 through 1.1.4, monitored-item quota accounting is not exception-safe: if item creation fails with an unchecked error, the server-global reservation is not restored. Deeply nested PubSub ExtensionObjects in a `CreateMonitoredItems` event filter can trigger a `StackOverflowError` during decoding, allowing an unauthenticated remote client to exhaust a finite global monitored-item quota and prevent all clients from creating new monitored items until restart. Existing monitored items and other server functions remain unaffected.
CVE-2024-1300 2026-08-04 N/A 5.4 MEDIUM
A vulnerability in the Eclipse Vert.x toolkit causes a memory leak in TCP servers configured with TLS and SNI support. When processing an unknown SNI server name assigned the default certificate instead of a mapped certificate, the SSL context is erroneously cached in the server name map, leading to memory exhaustion. This flaw allows attackers to send TLS client hello messages with fake server names, triggering a JVM out-of-memory error.
CVE-2026-12353 2026-07-24 N/A 5.3 MEDIUM
An unauthenticated attacker could trigger an Out of Memory condition to crash the Java process for RHCS by repeatedly sending HTTP requests to the TLS endpoint. Depending on how the RHCS server is configured, a manual intervention to restart it may prove necessary.
CVE-2026-41637 1 Nlnetlabs 1 Unbound 2026-07-24 N/A 3.7 LOW
In NLnet Labs Unbound 1.22.0 up to and including 1.25.1, client terminated DNS-over-QUIC (DoQ) queries are not accounted properly by Unbound resulting in low-cost inflation of the waiting number of replies for already in-flight resolution queries. This results in degradation of resolution service for new clients for already in-flight queries. A malicious actor can exploit the vulnerability by issuing DoQ queries for query names that need resolution and proceeding on immediately terminating the query by one of STOP_SENDING/RESET_STREAM/CONNECTION_CLOSE QUIC frames. Those terminated DoQ queries are not properly counted for and keep inflating the number of waiting replies for in-flight queries. When the maximum is reached, it results in silent query drops for new clients needing resolution for already in-flight queries. This vulnerability needs Unbound to be compiled with DoQ support ('--with-libngtcp2') and the 'quic-port' to be configured for the listening interfaces. Additionally, a malicious actor needs access to multiple source IPs to bypass the by-default configured 'wait-limit' option.
CVE-2026-56444 1 Nlnetlabs 1 Unbound 2026-07-24 N/A 5.9 MEDIUM
In NLnet Labs Unbound 1.20.0 up to and including 1.25.1, when Unbound is configured with 'serve-expired: yes' and 'serve-expired-client-timeout > discard-timeout > 0' (contrary to the suggested values), the discard-timeout branch during the serve expired logic drops an aged client reply without performing the correct accounting for the number of reply addresses for the query. Other identical branches outside of serve expired perform the correct decrement. Since the counter is never decremented in such scenario, it can reach the maximum limit and new clients for duplicate in-flight queries are silently dropped resulting in degradation of resolution service. A malicious actor can exploit the vulnerability by querying the resolver for a client-controlled slow-on-demand authoritative zone that can drive the counter past the threshold. Shipped defaults for 'serve-expired-client-timeout: 1800' and 'discard-timeout: 1900' make the branch unreachable.
CVE-2026-9156 1 Tanium 1 Server 2026-07-23 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
Tanium addressed a denial of service vulnerability in Tanium Server.
CVE-2026-46292 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-23 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pmdomain: core: Fix detach procedure for virtual devices in genpd If a device is attached to a PM domain through genpd_dev_pm_attach_by_id(), genpd calls pm_runtime_enable() for the corresponding virtual device that it registers. While this avoids boilerplate code in drivers, there is no corresponding call to pm_runtime_disable() in genpd_dev_pm_detach(). This means these virtual devices are typically detached from its genpd, while runtime PM remains enabled for them, which is not how things are designed to work. In worst cases it may lead to critical errors, like a NULL pointer dereference bug in genpd_runtime_suspend(), which was recently reported. For another case, we may end up keeping an unnecessary vote for a performance state for the device. To fix these problems, let's add this missing call to pm_runtime_disable() in genpd_dev_pm_detach().
CVE-2026-45287 1 Opentelemetry 1 Telemetry Schema Files 2026-07-22 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
OpenTelemetry-Go is the Go implementation of OpenTelemetry. Prior to version 0.0.17, `go.opentelemetry.io/otel/schema/v1.0` and `go.opentelemetry.io/otel/schema/v1.1` leaks one file descriptor on each successful `ParseFile` call. `ParseFile` opens the schema file and passes it to `Parse` without closing it; repeated parsing in a long-running process can exhaust the process file descriptor limit and cause denial of service. Exploitation depends on a consuming application exposing repeated schema parsing to an attacker-controlled path. Version 0.0.17 contains a patch for the issue.
CVE-2026-36590 1 Emqx 1 Nanomq 2026-07-16 N/A 7.5 HIGH
An issue in EMQ NanoMQ v.0.24.9 allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via the nni_qos_db_set function in broker_tcp.c component
CVE-2026-15713 2026-07-15 N/A 5.9 MEDIUM
A vulnerability was found in libsoup's HTTP/2 protocol implementation. The library fails to correctly release memory context blocks under specific stream termination conditions, such as when an HTTP/2 connection encounters window exhaustion or explicit stream resets. A remote, unauthenticated attacker acting as a malicious network peer can trick the connection engine into allocating stream states that are subsequently leaked during cleanup. Over a sustained period, this flaw allows the remote attacker to consume the system's heap allocations incrementally, triggering a denial of service (DoS) through an ultimate Out-of-Memory (OOM) application crash.
CVE-2026-32874 1 Ultrajson Project 1 Ultrajson 2026-07-15 N/A 7.5 HIGH
UltraJSON is a fast JSON encoder and decoder written in pure C with bindings for Python 3.7+. Versions 5.4.0 through 5.11.0 contain an accumulating memory leak in JSON parsing large (outside of the range [-2^63, 2^64 - 1]) integers. The leaked memory is a copy of the string form of the integer plus an additional NULL byte. The leak occurs irrespective of whether the integer parses successfully or is rejected due to having more than sys.get_int_max_str_digits() digits, meaning that any sized leak per malicious JSON can be achieved provided that there is no limit on the overall size of the payload. Any service that calls ujson.load()/ujson.loads()/ujson.decode() on untrusted inputs is affected and vulnerable to denial of service attacks. This issue has been fixed in version 5.12.0.
CVE-2026-2359 1 Expressjs 1 Multer 2026-07-15 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Multer is a node.js middleware for handling `multipart/form-data`. A vulnerability in Multer prior to version 2.1.0 allows an attacker to trigger a Denial of Service (DoS) by dropping connection during file upload, potentially causing resource exhaustion. Users should upgrade to version 2.1.0 to receive a patch. No known workarounds are available.
CVE-2026-26999 1 Traefik 1 Traefik 2026-07-15 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Traefik is an HTTP reverse proxy and load balancer. Prior to versions 2.11.38 and 3.6.9, there is a potential vulnerability in Traefik managing TLS handshake on TCP routers. When Traefik processes a TLS connection on a TCP router, the read deadline used to bound protocol sniffing is cleared before the TLS handshake is completed. When a TLS handshake read error occurs, the code attempts a second handshake with different connection parameters, silently ignoring the initial error. A remote unauthenticated client can exploit this by sending an incomplete TLS record and stopping further data transmission, causing the TLS handshake to stall indefinitely and holding connections open. By opening many such stalled connections in parallel, an attacker can exhaust file descriptors and goroutines, degrading availability of all services on the affected entrypoint. This issue has been patched in versions 2.11.38 and 3.6.9.
CVE-2026-23185 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-15 N/A 7.8 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: mld: cancel mlo_scan_start_wk mlo_scan_start_wk is not canceled on disconnection. In fact, it is not canceled anywhere except in the restart cleanup, where we don't really have to. This can cause an init-after-queue issue: if, for example, the work was queued and then drv_change_interface got executed. This can also cause use-after-free: if the work is executed after the vif is freed.
CVE-2026-21720 1 Grafana 1 Grafana 2026-07-15 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Every uncached /avatar/:hash request spawns a goroutine that refreshes the Gravatar image. If the refresh sits in the 10-slot worker queue longer than three seconds, the handler times out and stops listening for the result, so that goroutine blocks forever trying to send on an unbuffered channel. Sustained traffic with random hashes keeps tripping this timeout, so goroutine count grows linearly, eventually exhausting memory and causing Grafana to crash on some systems.
CVE-2026-53251 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-08 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: ISO: Fix not releasing hdev reference on iso_conn_big_sync hci_get_route() returns a reference-counted hci_dev pointer via hci_dev_hold(). The function exits normally or with an error without ever releasing it.
CVE-2026-53154 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-07 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/hugetlb: restore reservation on error in hugetlb folio copy paths Two sites in mm/hugetlb.c allocate a hugetlb folio via alloc_hugetlb_folio() (consuming a VMA reservation) and then call copy_user_large_folio(), which became int-returning in commit 1cb9dc4b475c ("mm: hwpoison: support recovery from HugePage copy-on-write faults") and can now fail (e.g. -EHWPOISON on a hwpoisoned source page). On the failure path, folio_put() restores the global hugetlb pool count through free_huge_folio(), but the per-VMA reservation map entry is left marked consumed: - hugetlb_mfill_atomic_pte() resubmission path (UFFDIO_COPY) - copy_hugetlb_page_range() fork-time CoW path when hugetlb_try_dup_anon_rmap() fails (rare: pinned hugetlb anon folio under fork) User-visible effect: on UFFDIO_COPY into a private hugetlb VMA where the resubmission copy fails, the reservation for that address is leaked from the VMA's reserve map. A subsequent fault at the same address takes the no-reservation path, and under hugetlb pool pressure the task is SIGBUSed at an address it had previously reserved. The fork-time CoW path leaks the same way in the child VMA's reserve map, though it requires the much rarer combination of pinned hugetlb anon page + hwpoisoned source. Add the missing restore_reserve_on_error() call before folio_put() on both error paths.
