As part of Cisco's ongoing commitment to proactive security and product quality, the Cisco Expressway Series software engineering team has conducted a comprehensive internal security review. This review resulted in software hardening releases that address multiple internally discovered vulnerabilities.   The vulnerabilities tracked by CVE-2026-76495 are related to issues concerning incorrect permission assignments that are grouped under the Common Weakness Enumeration (CWE) Variant CWE-732.
CVE-2026-113720 2026-10-22 N/A N/A
virtualenv is a tool for creating isolated virtual python environments. Prior to 21.14.9, the app-data copy seeder uses shutil.copy() to copy cached package files into later environments, causing cached source modes to override the current run's umask. A cache populated under a permissive umask can therefore produce files writable by another local account in a later traversable environment, allowing package code such as pip/__init__.py to be modified and executed by the environment owner. The attacker cannot force the earlier umask, and a private destination parent prevents access. This issue is fixed in version 21.14.9.
CVE-2026-114105 2026-10-21 N/A 6.2 MEDIUM
Adm-zip before 0.6.1 contains an incorrect permission assignment vulnerability that allows attackers to set setuid, setgid, or sticky bits on extracted files when keepOriginalPermission is enabled. Attackers can craft zip external file attributes that pass unmasked into chmod, letting attacker-controlled executables gain elevated privileges when extracted as root and later run.
CVE-2026-10591 1 Amazon 1 Kiro Ide 2026-10-20 N/A 8.8 HIGH
Insufficient access control restrictions in the file write tool in Amazon Kiro IDE before version 0.11 might allow remote unauthenticated actors to execute arbitrary commands via crafted instructions that cause writes to execution-sensitive paths (such as .vscode/tasks.json), enabling auto-execution on folder open. To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to Kiro IDE version 0.11 or later.
CVE-2026-71169 2026-10-20 N/A 7.0 HIGH

CVE-2025-13703 2026-10-19 N/A 7.8 HIGH
VIPRE Advanced Security Incorrect Permission Assignment Local Privilege Escalation Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows local attackers to escalate privileges on affected installations of VIPRE Advanced Security for PC. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability. The specific flaw exists within the product installer. The issue results from incorrect permissions on a folder. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to escalate privileges and execute arbitrary code in the context of SYSTEM. Was ZDI-CAN-27147.
CVE-2026-96542 2026-10-19 N/A 5.0 MEDIUM
Incorrect permission assignment (CWE-732) in the standalone installer for EA Javelin Anticheat (versions 1.0.14329371, 1.0.14547437, 1.0.14789537, and 1.0.14940698) on Windows allows a local non-administrative user to elevate privileges to NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM by modifying the EAAntiCheatService service configuration and executable path. This vulnerability requires non-standard manual execution of the standalone installer and does not affect standard game installations via the EA App and Steam. This issue is corrected in version 1.0.14940699 and later; service permissions automatically self-heal upon launching an integrated EA game title.
CVE-2025-64324 1 Kubevirt 1 Kubevirt 2026-10-19 N/A 7.7 HIGH
KubeVirt is a virtual machine management add-on for Kubernetes. The `hostDisk` feature in KubeVirt allows mounting a host file or directory owned by the user with UID 107 into a VM. However, prior to version 1.6.1 and 1.7.0, the implementation of this feature and more specifically the `DiskOrCreate` option (which creates a file if it doesn't exist) has a logic bug that allows an attacker to read and write arbitrary files owned by more privileged users on the host system. Versions 1.6.1 and 1.7.0 fix the issue.
CVE-2025-64996 1 Checkmk 1 Checkmk 2026-10-19 N/A 4.4 MEDIUM
In Checkmk versions prior to 2.4.0p16, 2.3.0p41, and all versions of 2.2.0 and older, the mk_inotify plugin creates world-readable and writable files, allowing any local user on the system to read the plugin's output and manipulate it, potentially leading to unauthorized access to or modification of monitoring data.
CVE-2025-34212 1 Vasion 2 Virtual Appliance Application, Virtual Appliance Host 2026-10-18 N/A 9.8 CRITICAL
Vasion Print (formerly PrinterLogic) Virtual Appliance Host prior to version 22.0.843 and Application prior to version 20.0.1923 (VA/SaaS deployments) possess CI/CD weaknesses: the build pulls an unverified third-party image, downloads the VirtualBox Extension Pack over plain HTTP without signature validation, and grants the jenkins account NOPASSWD for mount/umount. Together these allow supply chain or man-in-the-middle compromise of the build pipeline, injection of malicious firmware, and remote code execution as root on the CI host. This vulnerability has been identified by the vendor as: V-2023-007 — Supply Chain Attack.
CVE-2025-43268 1 Apple 1 Macos 2026-10-18 N/A 7.8 HIGH
A permissions issue was addressed with additional restrictions. This issue is fixed in macOS Sequoia 15.6. A malicious app may be able to gain root privileges.
CVE-2025-52873 2026-10-18 N/A 8.1 HIGH
Cognex In-Sight Explorer and In-Sight Camera Firmware expose a telnet-based service on port 23 to allow management operations such as firmware upgrades and device reboots, which require authentication. A user with protected privileges can successfully invoke the SetSystemConfig functionality to modify relevant device properties (such as network settings), contradicting the security model proposed in the user manual.
CVE-2025-62688 2026-10-18 N/A 7.1 HIGH
An incorrect permission assignment for a critical resource vulnerability was discovered in Productivity Suite software version 4.4.1.19. The vulnerability allows an attacker with low-privileged credentials to change their role, gaining full control access to the project.
CVE-2025-34189 3 Apple, Linux, Vasion 4 Macos, Linux Kernel, Virtual Appliance Application and 1 more 2026-10-18 N/A 7.8 HIGH
Vasion Print (formerly PrinterLogic) Virtual Appliance Host versions prior to 1.0.735 and Application versions prior to 20.0.1330 (macOS/Linux client deployments) contain a vulnerability in the local inter-process communication (IPC) mechanism. The software stores IPC request and response files inside /opt/PrinterInstallerClient/tmp with world-readable and world-writable permissions. Any local user can craft malicious request files that are processed by privileged daemons, leading to unauthorized actions being executed in other user sessions. This breaks user session isolation, potentially allowing local attackers to hijack sessions, perform unintended actions in the context of other users, and impact system integrity and availability. This vulnerability has been identified by the vendor as: V-2022-004 — Client Inter-process Security.
CVE-2025-6779 1 Axis 233 A1210 \(-b\), A1214, A1601 and 230 more 2026-10-18 N/A 6.7 MEDIUM
An ACAP configuration file has improper permissions, which could allow command injection and potentially lead to privilege escalation. This vulnerability can only be exploited if the Axis device is configured to allow the installation of unsigned ACAP applications, and if an attacker convinces the victim to install a malicious ACAP application.
CVE-2025-34206 1 Vasion 2 Virtual Appliance Application, Virtual Appliance Host 2026-10-18 N/A 9.8 CRITICAL
Vasion Print (formerly PrinterLogic) Virtual Appliance Host and Application (VA and SaaS deployments) mount host configuration and secret material under /var/www/efs_storage into many Docker containers with overly-permissive filesystem permissions. Files such as secrets.env, GPG-encrypted blobs in .secrets, MySQL client keys, and application session files are accessible from multiple containers. An attacker who controls or reaches any container can read or modify these artifacts, leading to credential theft, RCE via Laravel APP_KEY, Portainer takeover, and full compromise.
CVE-2025-62251 1 Liferay 2 Digital Experience Platform, Liferay Portal 2026-10-18 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
