CVE-2025-55095 1 Eclipse 1 Threadx Usbx 2026-06-17 N/A 4.2 MEDIUM
The function _ux_host_class_storage_media_mount() is responsible for mounting partitions on a USB mass storage device. When it encounters an extended partition entry in the partition table, it recursively calls itself to mount the next logical partition. This recursion occurs in _ux_host_class_storage_partition_read(), which parses up to four partition entries. If an extended partition is found (with type UX_HOST_CLASS_STORAGE_PARTITION_EXTENDED or EXTENDED_LBA_MAPPED), the code invokes: _ux_host_class_storage_media_mount(storage, sector + _ux_utility_long_get(...)); There is no limit on the recursion depth or tracking of visited sectors. As a result, a malicious or malformed disk image can include cyclic or excessively deep chains of extended partitions, causing the function to recurse until stack overflow occurs.
CVE-2025-54858 1 F5 2 Big-ip Advanced Web Application Firewall, Big-ip Application Security Manager 2026-06-17 N/A 7.5 HIGH
When a BIG-IP Advanced WAF or BIG-IP ASM Security Policy is configured with a JSON content profile that has a malformed JSON schema, and the security policy is applied to a virtual server, undisclosed requests can cause the bd process to terminate.  Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
CVE-2025-53864 2026-06-17 N/A 5.8 MEDIUM
Connect2id Nimbus JOSE + JWT 10.0.x before 10.0.2 and 9.37.x before 9.37.4 allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via a deeply nested JSON object supplied in a JWT claim set, because of uncontrolled recursion. NOTE: this is independent of the Gson 2.11.0 issue because the Connect2id product could have checked the JSON object nesting depth, regardless of what limits (if any) were imposed by Gson.
CVE-2025-53605 2026-06-17 N/A 5.9 MEDIUM
The protobuf crate before 3.7.2 for Rust allows uncontrolled recursion in the protobuf::coded_input_stream::CodedInputStream::skip_group parsing of unknown fields in untrusted input.
CVE-2025-50537 1 Openjsf 1 Eslint 2026-06-17 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
Stack overflow vulnerability in eslint before 9.26.0 when serializing objects with circular references in eslint/lib/shared/serialization.js. The exploit is triggered via the RuleTester.run() method, which validates test cases and checks for duplicates. During validation, the internal function checkDuplicateTestCase() is called, which in turn uses the isSerializable() function for serialization checks. When a circular reference object is passed in, isSerializable() enters infinite recursion, ultimately causing a stack overflow.
CVE-2025-4565 1 Google 1 Protobuf-python 2026-06-17 N/A 5.3 MEDIUM
Any project that uses Protobuf Pure-Python backend to parse untrusted Protocol Buffers data containing an arbitrary number of recursive groups, recursive messages or a series of SGROUP tags can be corrupted by exceeding the Python recursion limit. This can result in a Denial of service by crashing the application with a RecursionError. We recommend upgrading to version =>6.31.1 or beyond commit 17838beda2943d08b8a9d4df5b68f5f04f26d901
CVE-2025-48924 1 Apache 1 Commons Lang 2026-06-17 N/A 5.3 MEDIUM
Uncontrolled Recursion vulnerability in Apache Commons Lang. This issue affects Apache Commons Lang: Starting with commons-lang:commons-lang 2.0 to 2.6, and, from org.apache.commons:commons-lang3 3.0 before 3.18.0. The methods ClassUtils.getClass(...) can throw StackOverflowError on very long inputs. Because an Error is usually not handled by applications and libraries, a StackOverflowError could cause an application to stop. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.18.0, which fixes the issue.
CVE-2025-43718 2026-06-17 N/A 2.9 LOW
Poppler 24.06.1 through 25.x before 25.04.0 allows stack consumption and a SIGSEGV via deeply nested structures within the metadata (such as GTS_PDFEVersion) of a PDF document, e.g., a regular expression for a long pdfsubver string. This occurs in Dict::lookup, Catalog::getMetadata, and associated functions in PDFDoc, with deep recursion in the regex executor (std::__detail::_Executor).
CVE-2025-43708 1 Visicut 1 Visicut 2026-06-17 N/A 3.3 LOW
VisiCut 2.1 allows stack consumption via an XML document with nested set elements, as demonstrated by a java.util.HashMap StackOverflowError when reference='../../../set/set[2]' is used, aka an "insecure deserialization" issue.
CVE-2025-38493 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-17 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing/osnoise: Fix crash in timerlat_dump_stack() We have observed kernel panics when using timerlat with stack saving, with the following dmesg output: memcpy: detected buffer overflow: 88 byte write of buffer size 0 WARNING: CPU: 2 PID: 8153 at lib/string_helpers.c:1032 __fortify_report+0x55/0xa0 CPU: 2 UID: 0 PID: 8153 Comm: timerlatu/2 Kdump: loaded Not tainted 6.15.3-200.fc42.x86_64 #1 PREEMPT(lazy) Call Trace: <TASK> ? trace_buffer_lock_reserve+0x2a/0x60 __fortify_panic+0xd/0xf __timerlat_dump_stack.cold+0xd/0xd timerlat_dump_stack.part.0+0x47/0x80 timerlat_fd_read+0x36d/0x390 vfs_read+0xe2/0x390 ? syscall_exit_to_user_mode+0x1d5/0x210 ksys_read+0x73/0xe0 do_syscall_64+0x7b/0x160 ? exc_page_fault+0x7e/0x1a0 entry_SYSCALL_64_after_hwframe+0x76/0x7e __timerlat_dump_stack() constructs the ftrace stack entry like this: struct stack_entry *entry; ... memcpy(&entry->caller, fstack->calls, size); entry->size = fstack->nr_entries; Since commit e7186af7fb26 ("tracing: Add back FORTIFY_SOURCE logic to kernel_stack event structure"), struct stack_entry marks its caller field with __counted_by(size). At the time of the memcpy, entry->size contains garbage from the ringbuffer, which under some circumstances is zero, triggering a kernel panic by buffer overflow. Populate the size field before the memcpy so that the out-of-bounds check knows the correct size. This is analogous to __ftrace_trace_stack().
CVE-2025-38459 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-06-17 N/A 7.8 HIGH
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: atm: clip: Fix infinite recursive call of clip_push(). syzbot reported the splat below. [0] This happens if we call ioctl(ATMARP_MKIP) more than once. During the first call, clip_mkip() sets clip_push() to vcc->push(), and the second call copies it to clip_vcc->old_push(). Later, when the socket is close()d, vcc_destroy_socket() passes NULL skb to clip_push(), which calls clip_vcc->old_push(), triggering the infinite recursion. Let's prevent the second ioctl(ATMARP_MKIP) by checking vcc->user_back, which is allocated by the first call as clip_vcc. Note also that we use lock_sock() to prevent racy calls. CVE-2025-38315 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-17 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btintel: Check dsbr size from EFI variable Since the size of struct btintel_dsbr is already known, we can just start there instead of querying the EFI variable size. If the final result doesn't match what we expect also fail. This fixes a stack buffer overflow when the EFI variable is larger than struct btintel_dsbr.
CVE-2025-37851 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-06-17 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fbdev: omapfb: Add 'plane' value check Function dispc_ovl_setup is not intended to work with the value OMAP_DSS_WB of the enum parameter plane. The value of this parameter is initialized in dss_init_overlays and in the current state of the code it cannot take this value so it's not a real problem. For the purposes of defensive coding it wouldn't be superfluous to check the parameter value, because some functions down the call stack process this value correctly and some not. For example, in dispc_ovl_setup_global_alpha it may lead to buffer overflow. Add check for this value. Found by Linux Verification Center (linuxtesting.org) with SVACE static analysis tool.
CVE-2025-36158 1 Ibm 1 Concert 2026-06-17 N/A 5.1 MEDIUM
IBM Concert 1.0.0 through 2.0.0 could allow a local user with specific permission to obtain sensitive information from files due to uncontrolled recursive directory copying.
CVE-2025-36001 1 Ibm 1 Db2 2026-06-17 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
IBM Db2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows (includes Db2 Connect Server) 11.5.0 - 11.5.9 and 12.1.0 - 12.1.3 could allow an authenticated user to cause a denial of service using a specially crafted SQL statement including XML that performs uncontrolled recursion.
CVE-2025-33096 3 Ibm, Linux, Microsoft 4 Aix, Engineering Requirements Management Doors Next, Linux Kernel and 1 more 2026-06-17 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
IBM Engineering Requirements Management Doors Next 7.0.2, 7.0.3, and 7.1 could allow an authenticated user to cause a denial of service by uploading specially crafted files using uncontrolled recursion.
CVE-2025-32387 1 Helm 1 Helm 2026-06-17 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
Helm is a package manager for Charts for Kubernetes. A JSON Schema file within a chart can be crafted with a deeply nested chain of references, leading to parser recursion that can exceed the stack size limit and trigger a stack overflow. This issue has been resolved in Helm v3.17.3.
CVE-2025-30193 2026-06-17 N/A 7.5 HIGH
In some circumstances, when DNSdist is configured to allow an unlimited number of queries on a single, incoming TCP connection from a client, an attacker can cause a denial of service by crafting a TCP exchange that triggers an exhaustion of the stack and a crash of DNSdist, causing a denial of service. The remedy is: upgrade to the patched 1.9.10 version. A workaround is to restrict the maximum number of queries on incoming TCP connections to a safe value, like 50, via the setMaxTCPQueriesPerConnection setting. We would like to thank Renaud Allard for bringing this issue to our attention.
CVE-2025-24302 2026-06-17 N/A 6.7 MEDIUM
Uncontrolled recursion for some TinyCBOR libraries maintained by Intel(R) before version 0.6.1 may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access.
CVE-2025-23325 3 Linux, Microsoft, Nvidia 3 Linux Kernel, Windows, Triton Inference Server 2026-06-17 N/A 7.5 HIGH
NVIDIA Triton Inference Server for Windows and Linux contains a vulnerability where an attacker could cause uncontrolled recursion through a specially crafted input. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to denial of service.
