| CVE-2026-19248 | 2026-09-16 | N/A | N/A | ||
| QDomDocument XML parsing is vulnerable to a remotely-triggerable denial-of-service crash when processing untrusted input. | |||||
| CVE-2026-12358 | 2026-09-15 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH | ||
| IBM Verify Identity Access could allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service due to insufficient validation of incoming request resources. | |||||
| CVE-2026-91968 | 2026-09-15 | N/A | 6.5 MEDIUM | ||
| vikunja versions before 2.6.0 contain a resource exhaustion vulnerability in the task-filter endpoint that accepts deeply nested filter expressions without recursion depth limits. Authenticated attackers can supply thousands of nested parentheses in the filter query parameter to exhaust memory and terminate the API process. | |||||
| CVE-2026-53752 | 2026-09-14 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH | ||
| docx4j is an open source Java library for creating, editing, and saving OpenXML packages, including DOCX, PPTX, and XLSX files. Prior to 11.5.14, PropertyResolver and adjacent helpers recursively follow the WordprocessingML w:basedOn style inheritance chain without cycle detection. A well-formed DOCX containing mutually based styles causes unbounded recursion in PropertyResolver.fillPPrStack and related effective-style resolution paths, resulting in StackOverflowError. Server-side conversion and table-of-contents processing of an untrusted document can terminate a worker thread, degrade a thread pool, or deny service, although isolation in disposable workers or safe containment of StackOverflowError can reduce the practical effect. The fix adds cyclic-style tracking and CyclicStylesException handling. This issue is fixed in version 11.5.14. | |||||
| CVE-2026-90472 | 2026-09-14 | N/A | 5.3 MEDIUM | ||
| msgpack-java through 0.9.12 contains a stack overflow vulnerability in MessageUnpacker.unpackValue() that recursively deserializes arrays and maps without nesting depth limits. Attackers can craft payloads with deeply nested arrays to exhaust the deserializing thread's stack and trigger StackOverflowError, causing per-request deserialization failures. | |||||
| CVE-2026-88763 | 2026-09-14 | N/A | 5.9 MEDIUM | ||
| A flaw was found in the skupper-router component of Red Hat Service Interconnect, which is used to provide secure communication between distributed services. The issue occurs when the router processes a specially crafted network message using its AMQP field parser. Due to a lack of bounds on recursion during parsing, the router can run out of stack memory and crash, leading to a denial of service for the interconnected network. | |||||
| CVE-2026-22591 | 2026-09-14 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH | ||
| eprosima Fast DDS is a C++ implementation of the DDS (Data Distribution Service) standard of the OMG (Object Management Group). Prior to versions 2.6.12, 2.14.6, 3.2.4, and 3.4.3, Fast DDS’s implementation of SQL‑based content filtering (DDSSQLFilter) allows any participant in a DDS domain to remotely crash other Fast DDS participants by sending a single crafted SEDP `DATA` submessage whose `PID_CONTENT_FILTER_PROPERTY.filterExpression` contains a deeply nested filter expression. Versions 2.6.12, 2.14.6, 3.2.4, and 3.4.3 fix the issue. | |||||
| CVE-2026-73321 | 1 Xenforo | 1 Xenforo | 2026-09-11 | N/A | 6.5 MEDIUM |
| XenForo before 2.3.13 contains an uncontrolled recursion vulnerability in the BBCode parser that allows authenticated attackers to cause persistent denial of service by submitting a post with deeply nested BBCode tags. Attackers can craft a single malicious post with sufficient nesting depth to exceed PHP's stack limit, causing fatal errors that repeatedly terminate PHP-FPM workers for all visitors rendering the affected thread. | |||||
| CVE-2026-11573 | 2026-09-11 | N/A | N/A | ||
| Uncontrolled recursion (CWE-674) in the QDomDocument/QDomNode serialization path of the Qt XML module (QtXml, qtbase). QDomElementPrivate::save() and QDomNodePrivate::save() recurse mutually, consuming one stack frame per level of element nesting with no depth limit, no configurable bound and no error return. A document with deeply nested elements parses successfully but exhausts the call stack and terminates the process when serialized. Reachable via QDomDocument::toByteArray() (Qt 4.0 and later), QDomDocument::toString(), QDomDocument::toCString(), QDomNode::save(), and operator<<(QTextStream&, const QDomNode&). Denial of service only — no code execution and no memory disclosure. | |||||
| CVE-2026-69220 | 2026-09-10 | N/A | N/A | ||
| The RabbitMQ Java client library allows Java and JVM-based applications to connect to and interact with RabbitMQ nodes. Prior to 5.33.1, src/main/java/com/rabbitmq/client/impl/ValueReader.java permits ValueReader.readTable and ValueReader.readArray to call ValueReader.readFieldValue recursively for AMQP table type F and AMQP array type A values without a nesting-depth limit. A malicious AMQP server or network intermediary can send approximately 580 nested table levels in the pre-authentication connection.start frame, fitting within the default 131072-byte frame maximum, to trigger StackOverflowError. The error terminates the client input processing thread and causes denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 5.33.1. | |||||
| CVE-2026-19201 | 2026-09-10 | N/A | N/A | ||
| An uncontrolled recursion vulnerability in the Windows SIPA event log parser of Google go-attestation versions up to and including 0.6.1 allows an attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS). The (*WinEvents).readELAMAggregation function recurses for every nested elamAggregation sub-event without enforcing a maximum recursion depth limit, while the size guard is bypassed on recursive execution paths. By submitting a crafted Windows event log containing deeply nested elamAggregation headers, an attacker can exhaust the goroutine call stack, triggering an unrecoverable fatal runtime error (stack overflow) that immediately crashes the verifier application. | |||||
| CVE-2026-42039 | 1 Axios | 1 Axios | 2026-09-10 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| Axios is a promise based HTTP client for the browser and Node.js. Prior to 1.15.1 and 0.31.1, toFormData recursively walks nested objects with no depth limit, so a deeply nested value passed as request data crashes the Node.js process with a RangeError. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.15.1 and 0.31.1. | |||||
| CVE-2026-30922 | 1 Pyasn1 | 1 Pyasn1 | 2026-09-10 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| pyasn1 is a generic ASN.1 library for Python. Prior to 0.6.3, the `pyasn1` library is vulnerable to a Denial of Service (DoS) attack caused by uncontrolled recursion when decoding ASN.1 data with deeply nested structures. An attacker can supply a crafted payload containing thousands of nested `SEQUENCE` (`0x30`) or `SET` (`0x31`) tags with "Indefinite Length" (`0x80`) markers. This forces the decoder to recursively call itself until the Python interpreter crashes with a `RecursionError` or consumes all available memory (OOM), crashing the host application. This is a distinct vulnerability from CVE-2026-23490 (which addressed integer overflows in OID decoding). The fix for CVE-2026-23490 (`MAX_OID_ARC_CONTINUATION_OCTETS`) does not mitigate this recursion issue. Version 0.6.3 fixes this specific issue. | |||||
| CVE-2026-63462 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH | ||
| Unleash is an open-source feature management platform. Prior to 7.5.2, 7.6.5, and 8.0.2, the shared OpenAPI validation error path in src/lib/error/bad-data-error.ts passes a raw request value from lodash.get to JSON.stringify in genericErrorMessage and fromOpenApiValidationErrors without guarding stack exhaustion. An unauthenticated attacker can send a roughly 10 KB JSON value nested thousands of levels deep to POST /edge/validate, POST /edge/issue-token, or another OpenAPI-validated endpoint, causing RangeError: Maximum call stack size exceeded in openAPIValidationMiddleware and terminating the Node process because no uncaughtException handler recovers it. Replaying the request can sustain a complete service outage. This issue is fixed in versions 7.5.2, 7.6.5, and 8.0.2. | |||||
| CVE-2026-77465 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH | ||
| toml-node is a TOML parser for Node.js and the browser. Prior to 4.2.0, toml.parse() uses a Peggy 5.1.0 generated recursive-descent parser in lib/parser.js whose peg$parsevalue, peg$parsearray, and peg$parseinline_table_entry functions recurse through nested arrays and inline tables without a depth limit. A remote unauthenticated application parsing an attacker-controlled TOML document containing a few thousand nested arrays or inline tables can exhaust the Node.js call stack, raise an unexpected RangeError rather than the parser's SyntaxError, and terminate an unprotected request worker or process. The corresponding grammar source is src/toml.pegjs, where the generated parser must be bounded. This issue is fixed in version 4.2.0. | |||||
| CVE-2026-55588 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | 6.5 MEDIUM | ||
| ORAS (OCI Registry As Storage) is a CLI and library for managing artifacts in OCI registries. In ORAS CLI versions up to and including 1.3.2, the recursive referrer traversal does not track visited descriptors, so a malicious OCI registry that returns a cyclic referrer graph causes unbounded recursion and memory growth. This affects oras discover, whose recursive traversal is enabled by default because the --depth option defaults to 0 (unlimited), as well as the recursive referrer counting used by the oras backup and oras restore workflows. A cyclic graph can be as simple as A referring to B and B referring back to A. A malicious registry can use this to cause a client-side denial of service, exhausting CPU and memory and hanging automation or CI/CD pipelines that run ORAS against untrusted registry metadata. The vulnerability does not extend to code execution, artifact substitution, or integrity bypass. This issue has been fixed in version 1.3.3. | |||||
| CVE-2026-53531 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | N/A | ||
| RaTeX is a KaTeX-compatible math rendering engine written in Rust. Prior to version 0.1.11, RaTeX’s recursive-descent parser recurses one (or more) native stack frame per nesting level at `{`, `\left`, `\sqrt{`, `^{`, etc, with no maximum depth limit. A short, ~10 KB input of nested groups overflows the 8 MB main-thread stack and aborts the process. With `panic = "abort"` (`Cargo.toml:48`), and because a Rust stack overflow is always a fatal `SIGABRT` regardless of panic strategy this is an unrecoverable, whole-process denial of service reachable from a single untrusted LaTeX string. Version 0.1.11 fixes the issue. | |||||
| CVE-2026-76098 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH | ||
| Mistune is a Python Markdown parser with renderers and plugins. Versions 3.3.0 through 3.3.2 are vulnerable to DoS through deeply nested tokens. HTML rendering creates deeply nested emphasis tokens from consecutive asterisk characters, and recursive rendering in HTMLRenderer.render_token() can exceed Python's recursion limit and raise RecursionError, allowing crafted Markdown to crash a parsing process. This issue is fixed in version 3.3.3 | |||||
| CVE-2026-62295 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH | ||
| HAPI FHIR is a complete implementation of the HL7 FHIR standard for healthcare interoperability in Java. Prior to 6.9.11, the JSON utility parser in org.hl7.fhir.utilities.json.parser.JsonParser enforces no maximum nesting depth for arrays or objects. As a result, a small but deeply nested, syntactically valid FHIR JSON document can trigger unbounded readArray() or readObject() recursion, raising a StackOverflowError before structural validation runs. An attacker who can submit JSON resources for validation can thus crash the request thread, and services that do not isolate StackOverflowError safely may experience worker loss or process instability — a denial-of-service condition. This issue is fixed in version 6.9.11. | |||||
| CVE-2026-62296 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH | ||
| HAPI FHIR is a complete implementation of the HL7 FHIR standard for healthcare interoperability in Java. Prior to 6.9.11, XhtmlParser.java imposes no maximum element nesting depth, so a deeply nested text.div narrative triggers unbounded recursion between parseElementInner() and parseElement(), raising a StackOverflowError. An attacker who can submit FHIR resources containing such narratives can thus crash a parsing or validation worker thread, affecting validator services and any application that parses attacker-supplied FHIR JSON or XML. This issue is fixed in version 6.9.11. | |||||
