| An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists in Microsoft Windows when Folder redirection has been enabled via Group Policy. When folder redirection file server is co-located with Terminal server, an attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability would be able to begin redirecting another user's personal data to a created folder. To exploit the vulnerability, an attacker can create a new folder under the Folder Redirection root path and create a junction on a newly created User folder. When the new user logs in, Folder Redirection would start redirecting to the folder and copying personal data. This elevation of privilege vulnerability can only be addressed by reconfiguring Folder Redirection with Offline files and restricting permissions, and NOT via a security update for affected Windows Servers. See the FAQ section of this CVE for configuration guidance. | |||||

| CVE-2025-30240 | 2026-08-18 | N/A | N/A | ||
| The affected TP-Link Aginet devices do not properly validate symbolic links created on external USB storage devices. By placing a crafted symbolic link on supported storage media, an attacker may cause the system to resolve the link. Successful exploitation may allow unauthorized read access to sensitive files within the device filesystem. | |||||

| CVE-2026-20310 | 2026-08-14 | N/A | 9.1 CRITICAL | ||
| As part of Cisco's ongoing commitment to proactive security and product quality, the Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN engineering team has conducted a comprehensive internal security review. This review resulted in software hardening releases that address multiple internally discovered vulnerabilities. The vulnerabilities tracked by CVE-2026-20310 are related to improper link resolution before file access issues that are grouped under the Common Weakness Enumeration (CWE) CWE-59. | |||||
| CVE-2026-72971 | 1 Microsoft | 1 Windows 11 26h1 | 2026-08-14 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |

| CVE-2026-70348 | 1 Microsoft | 3 Windows 11 24h2, Windows 11 25h2, Windows 11 26h1 | 2026-08-14 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| Improper link resolution before file access ('link following') in Windows Management Services allows an authorized attacker to deny service locally. | |||||
| CVE-2026-58414 | 1 Network-ai | 1 Network-ai | 2026-08-13 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| Network-AI is a TypeScript/Node.js multi-agent orchestrator. Prior to version 5.12.2, `EnvironmentManager.backup()` recursively collects files using `_collectBackupFiles()`. `_collectBackupFiles()` uses `statSync(full)`, which follows symlinks. If `data/<env>` contains a symlink to a directory outside the environment root, backup recursion follows the symlink and copies external files into `data/<env>/.backups/<backupId>/`. An attacker who can place a symlink under the environment data directory can cause backup operations to disclose files outside the environment root into backup artifacts. The issue is fixed in v5.12.2. `_collectBackupFiles()` now uses `lstatSync` instead of `statSync` and skips any entry where `isSymbolicLink()` is true. Symlinks are never traversed, so `backup()` can no longer follow a link out of the environment root and copy external files into a backup artifact. | |||||
| CVE-2026-62832 | 1 Microsoft | 8 Windows 10 21h2, Windows 10 22h2, Windows 11 23h2 and 5 more | 2026-08-13 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| Improper link resolution before file access ('link following') in Windows User Profile Service allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. | |||||
| CVE-2026-11940 | 2026-08-13 | N/A | N/A | ||
| tarfile.extractall() with the 'data' or 'tar' filter could be bypassed by a crafted archive where a hardlink references a symlink stored at a deeper name than the hardlink itself. The extraction fallback validated the symlink at it's archived location but recreated it at the hardlink's shallower path, letting a relative target the filter judged contained escape the destination directory. This allowed a malicious tar archive to create a symlink pointing outside the destination, enabling out-of-destination file reads or writes. This was an incomplete fix of CVE-2025-4330. | |||||
| CVE-2026-19008 | 2026-08-12 | 6.5 MEDIUM | 6.3 MEDIUM | ||
| A vulnerability was identified in mf-yang openclaw-cn up to 0.2.1. This issue affects the function assertNoSymlinkEscape of the file src/agents/sandbox-paths.ts of the component apply_patch Tool. Such manipulation leads to link following. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet. | |||||
