| CVE-2026-21901 | 1 Juniper | 2 Junos, Junos Os Evolved | 2026-08-26 | N/A | 4.4 MEDIUM |
| A NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in the management daemon (mgd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows a local, high-privileged attacker setting or deactivating a specific SSH configuration parameter to create a Denial of Service (DoS). A local high-privileged user configuring or deactivating a specific 'system services ssh' configuration parameter can exploit a null pointer dereference in one of the functions used by SSH. The function attempts to dereference a null pointer when accessing certain configuration data, resulting in an mgd process crash and restart. Continued execution of these configuration commands will create a sustained Denial of Service (DoS) condition. This issue affects: Junos OS: * from 22.3 before 22.3R3-S5; * from 22.4 before 22.4R3-S10; * from 23.2 before 23.2R2-S7; * from 23.4 before 23.4R2-S8. This issue does not affect Junos OS before 22.3R1. Junos OS Evolved: * from 22.3R1-EVO before 23.2R2-S7-EVO; * from 23.4 before 23.4R2-S8-EVO. This issue does not affect Junos OS Evolved before 22.3R1-EVO. | |||||
| CVE-2026-13217 | 2026-08-26 | N/A | 5.9 MEDIUM | ||
| The OCPP 1.6 client in subsys/net/lib/ocpp/ocpp.c reconstructs a session handle and PDU id from the uid field of a CALLRESULT message. In ocpp_process_server_msg() the code calls atoi(strtok_r(uid, "-", &tmp)) without checking the strtok_r return value. When the server-supplied uid is empty or contains no - delimiter, strtok_r() returns NULL and atoi(NULL) dereferences a NULL pointer, which is undefined behaviour. The uid originates from network data: parse_rpc_msg() in subsys/net/lib/ocpp/ocpp_j.c JSON-parses a frame received from the OCPP central system over TCP/WebSocket and copies the server-controlled string into the local buffer. A malicious or compromised central system, or a man-in-the-middle on a non-TLS ws:// connection, can return a malformed uid to reach the defect. No authentication beyond the existing server connection (or MITM position) is required, and the reconstructed pointer is membership-validated by ocpp_session_is_valid(), so the impact is limited to the NULL dereference rather than arbitrary pointer use. On Zephyr targets that trap access to address 0 (MMU/MPU platforms or CONFIG_NULL_POINTER_EXCEPTION_DETECTION), the dereference faults inside the OCPP reader thread and invokes the fatal handler, producing a remote denial of service of the charge point; on bare targets where address 0 is readable the call returns 0 and is benign, so the impact is availability-only and platform-conditional. The applied fix guards only the first atoi(); the second strtok_r(NULL, "-", &tmp) followed by pdu = atoi(buf) in the same function remains unguarded and the identical NULL dereference is still reachable from the same network input when the uid has a first token but no second --delimited token. A complete fix should validate the second token as well. | |||||

| CVE-2026-76014 | 2026-08-25 | 1.7 LOW | 3.3 LOW | ||
| A vulnerability has been found in BusyBox up to 1.30.1. This vulnerability affects unknown code of the file networking/wget.c of the component FEATURE_WGET_TIMEOUT Handler. Such manipulation of the argument -T leads to null pointer dereference. Local access is required to approach this attack. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The name of the patch is 83a40bf7a93c8ac093d33ab452222dd5b9eb57ff. A patch should be applied to remediate this issue. | |||||
| CVE-2026-64192 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-23 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Reject BPF_MAP_TYPE_INODE_STORAGE creation if BPF LSM is uninitialized When CONFIG_BPF_LSM=y is set, BPF inode storage maps (BPF_MAP_TYPE_INODE_STORAGE) are compiled into the kernel. However, if the BPF LSM is not explicitly enabled at boot time (e.g. omitted from the "lsm=" boot parameter), lsm_prepare() is never executed for the BPF LSM. Consequently, the BPF inode security blob offset (bpf_lsm_blob_sizes.lbs_inode) is never initialized and remains at its default compiled size of 8 bytes instead of being updated to a valid offset past the reserved struct rcu_head (typically 16 bytes or more). When a privileged user creates and updates a BPF_MAP_TYPE_INODE_STORAGE map, bpf_inode() evaluates inode->i_security + 8. This erroneously aliases the struct rcu_head.func callback pointer at the beginning of the inode->i_security blob. During subsequent map element cleanup or inode destruction, writing NULL to owner_storage clears the queued RCU callback pointer. When rcu_do_batch() later executes the queued callback, it attempts an instruction fetch at address 0x0, triggering an immediate kernel panic. Fix this by introducing a global bpf_lsm_initialized boolean flag marked with __ro_after_init. Set this flag to true inside bpf_lsm_init() when the LSM framework successfully registers the BPF LSM. Gate map allocation in inode_storage_map_alloc() on this flag, returning -EOPNOTSUPP if the BPF LSM is in turn uninitialized. This fail-fast approach prevents userspace from allocating inode storage maps when the supporting BPF LSM infrastructure is absent, avoiding zombie map states. | |||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: mtk-vcodec: potential null pointer deference in SCP The return value of devm_kzalloc() needs to be checked to avoid NULL pointer deference. This is similar to CVE-2022-3113. | |||||
| CVE-2026-76166 | 2026-08-20 | N/A | 4.3 MEDIUM | ||
| A flaw was found in mod_cluster's AdvertiseListenerImpl (org.jboss.modcluster core module). A single crafted UDP multicast datagram with a valid HTTP status line and a "Server:" header but without the "Date:", "Digest:", and "Sequence:" headers triggers a NullPointerException in verifyDigest() that is not caught by the worker thread's exception handler. This causes the advertise listener thread to terminate permanently. The failure is silent (isListening() continues to return true) and persists until the node is restarted. The crash occurs before the AdvertiseSecurityKey comparison, so deployments with a configured security key are still affected. | |||||

| CVE-2020-1069 | 1 Microsoft | 3 Sharepoint Enterprise Server, Sharepoint Foundation, Sharepoint Server | 2026-08-19 | 6.5 MEDIUM | 8.8 HIGH |
| A remote code execution vulnerability exists in Microsoft SharePoint Server when it fails to properly identify and filter unsafe ASP.Net web controls. An authenticated attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could use a specially crafted page to perform actions in the security context of the SharePoint application pool process. To exploit the vulnerability, an authenticated user must create and invoke a specially crafted page on an affected version of Microsoft SharePoint Server. The security update addresses the vulnerability by correcting how Microsoft SharePoint Server handles processing of created content. | |||||
| CVE-2026-64140 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-18 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix null pointer dereference in proc_show_files() When a SMB2 client opens a file with a durable v2 handle and then issues SMB2 SESSION_LOGOFF, session_fd_check() clears fp->tcon = NULL on the reconnectable file pointer but leaves the fp registered in global_ft.idr until the durable scavenger fires (up to fp->durable_timeout seconds later). During that window any read of /proc/fs/ksmbd/files (mode 0400) panics the kernel because proc_show_files() walks global_ft.idr and unconditionally dereferences fp->tcon->id with no NULL guard. Reproducer requires only a successful SMB2 SESSION_SETUP and a share configured with 'durable handles = yes'. | CVE-2026-64141 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-18 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: fix null pointer dereference in compare_guid_key() session_fd_check() walks the per-inode m_op_list during durable-handle session teardown and sets op->conn = NULL for every opinfo whose conn matched the closing session's connection. The matching opinfo, however, stays linked in its per-ClientGuid lease_table_list entry's lb->lease_list because destroy_lease_table() only runs on full TCP-connection teardown, not on SESSION_LOGOFF. If the same TCP connection then negotiates a fresh session with the same ClientGuid (ClientGuid is bound to NEGOTIATE, not the session, and is unchanged across LOGOFF + SETUP) and issues a SMB2 CREATE with a lease context on a different inode, find_same_lease_key() walks lb->lease_list, reaches the stale opinfo, and calls compare_guid_key(), which unconditionally dereferences opinfo->conn->ClientGUID. The conn pointer is NULL and the kernel panics. Reproducer requires only a successful SMB2 SESSION_SETUP and a share configured with 'durable handles = yes'. KASAN report on mainline 70390501d194: general protection fault, probably for non-canonical address 0xdffffc0000000069: 0000 [#1] SMP KASAN PTI KASAN: null-ptr-deref in range [0x0000000000000348-0x000000000000034f] Workqueue: ksmbd-io handle_ksmbd_work RIP: 0010:bcmp+0x5b/0x230 Call Trace: compare_guid_key+0x4b/0xd0 find_same_lease_key+0x324/0x690 smb2_open+0x6aea/0x8e60 handle_ksmbd_work+0x796/0xee0 ... | CVE-2026-64297 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-17 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: module: decompress: check return value of module_extend_max_pages() module_extend_max_pages() calls kvrealloc() internally and returns -ENOMEM on allocation failure. The return value is never checked. If the initial allocation fails, info->pages remains NULL and info->max_pages remains 0. Subsequent calls to module_get_next_page() will attempt to dynamically grow the array by calling module_extend_max_pages(info, 0) since info->used_pages is 0. This results in kvrealloc(NULL, 0) returning ZERO_SIZE_PTR, which is treated as a success, leading to a dereference of ZERO_SIZE_PTR and a kernel oops. Fix: add the missing error check after module_extend_max_pages() and return immediately on failure. This matches the pattern used by every other kvrealloc() caller in the module loading path. [Sami: Corrected the analysis in the commit message.] | |||||
| CVE-2026-64295 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-17 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm: page_ext: add count limit to page_ext_iter_next to prevent invalid PFN access The page_ext iteration API does not validate if the PFN still belongs to a valid section while advancing the iterator. When dynamically adding memory in the hotplug path, it can lead to a NULL pointer dereference during page_ext_lookup at the boundary of the last valid section when iterator count equals __pgcount. The for_each_page_ext() macro calls page_ext_iter_next() as its loop increment. for_each_page_ext() does a "__page_ext = page_ext_iter_next(&__iter)" at the end. This causes page_ext_iter_next() to increment iter->index past __pgcount and call page_ext_lookup(start_pfn + __pgcount). During memory hotplug (online), the PFN at start_pfn + __pgcount may belong to a section that has not yet been initialized, causing page_ext_lookup() to trigger a NULL pointer dereference. | CVE-2026-64288 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-17 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: arm64: nv: Avoid dereferencing NULL VNCR pseudo-TLB VNCR TLB invalidation occurs from MMU notifiers or TLBI instructions, and either can race against a vcpu not being onlined yet (no pseudo-TLB allocated). Similarly, the TLB might be invalid, and the invalidation should be skipped in this case. Both kvm_invalidate_vncr_ipa() and kvm_invalidate_vncr_va() are expected to perform the same checks, except that the latter doesn't check for the allocation and blindly dereferences the pointer. Solve this by introducing a new iterator built on top of the usual kvm_for_each_vcpu() that checks for both of the above conditions, and convert the two users to it. | |||||
| CVE-2026-64258 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-08-17 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fuse-uring: remove request-less entries from ent_w_req_queue to fix NULL deref If a copy into the userspace ring buffer fails, a request will be terminated and fuse_uring_req_end() will set ent->fuse_req to NULL but it will leave the entry on ent_w_req_queue in FRRS_FUSE_REQ state. This can lead to a NULL deref if the request expiration logic scans ent_w_req_queue in the window before the entry is moved off it. Fix this by taking the entry off ent_w_req_queue and changing its state from FRRS_FUSE_REQ to FRRS_INVALID before terminating the request. | |||||
