CVE-2026-65623 2026-07-30 N/A N/A
Inefficient Algorithmic Complexity vulnerability in mtrudel bandit allows unauthenticated remote denial of service via CPU exhaustion during WebSocket fragment reassembly. The size guard 'Elixir.Bandit.WebSocket.Connection':oversize_message?/2 called from handle_frame/3 in lib/bandit/websocket/connection.ex appends each non-final continuation frame to a left-nested iolist and then re-measures the entire accumulated buffer with IO.iodata_length/1 on every frame. Because the buffer grows by one element per frame and is fully re-traversed each time, reassembly work is quadratic (O(n^2)) in the number of continuation frames. The max_fragmented_message_size limit (default 8 MB) bounds total bytes but not frame count, and each frame can carry as little as one payload byte, so an attacker can send millions of tiny continuation frames using modest bandwidth to pin a CPU core for minutes to hours. Many concurrent connections can starve the whole server of CPU, denying service to legitimate users. The WebSocket read timeout does not help, because it is an idle timeout evaluated between reads and cannot preempt the synchronous reassembly work spent inside a single callback. This issue affects bandit: from 1.11.0 before 1.12.1.
CVE-2026-64644 1 Vercel 1 Next.js 2026-07-29 N/A 5.3 MEDIUM
Next.js is a React framework for building full-stack web applications. In versions 15.5.0 through 15.5.20 and 16.0.0 through 16.2.10, when self-hosting Next.js with the default image loader, the Image Optimization API can optimize remotely hosted images if configured (not enabled by default). If those images contain malicious content, they can cause CPU exhaustion in /_next/image endpoints.Only config.images.remotePatterns is affected, and just the patterns in that array, whereas config.images.unoptimized: true, config.images.loader: 'custom', and Vercel are not impacted. This issue has been fixed in versions 15.5.21 and 16.2.11.
CVE-2026-55968 1 Apache 1 Thrift 2026-07-27 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Inefficient Algorithmic Complexity, Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling vulnerability in Apache Thrift Node.js bindings. This issue affects Apache Thrift: before 0.24.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 0.24.0, which fixes the issue.
CVE-2026-34230 1 Rack 1 Rack 2026-07-24 N/A 5.3 MEDIUM
Rack is a modular Ruby web server interface. Prior to versions 2.2.23, 3.1.21, and 3.2.6, Rack::Utils.select_best_encoding processes Accept-Encoding values with quadratic time complexity when the header contains many wildcard (*) entries. Because this method is used by Rack::Deflater to choose a response encoding, an unauthenticated attacker can send a single request with a crafted Accept-Encoding header and cause disproportionate CPU consumption on the compression middleware path. This results in a denial of service condition for applications using Rack::Deflater. This issue has been patched in versions 2.2.23, 3.1.21, and 3.2.6.
CVE-2026-34827 1 Rack 1 Rack 2026-07-24 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Rack is a modular Ruby web server interface. From versions 3.0.0.beta1 to before 3.1.21, and 3.2.0 to before 3.2.6, Rack::Multipart::Parser#handle_mime_head parses quoted multipart parameters such as Content-Disposition: form-data; name="..." using repeated String#index searches combined with String#slice! prefix deletion. For escape-heavy quoted values, this causes super-linear processing. An unauthenticated attacker can send a crafted multipart/form-data request containing many parts with long backslash-escaped parameter values to trigger excessive CPU usage during multipart parsing. This results in a denial of service condition in Rack applications that accept multipart form data. This issue has been patched in versions 3.1.21 and 3.2.6.
CVE-2026-34573 1 Parseplatform 1 Parse-server 2026-07-24 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Parse Server is an open source backend that can be deployed to any infrastructure that can run Node.js. Prior to versions 8.6.68 and 9.7.0-alpha.12, the GraphQL query complexity validator can be exploited to cause a denial-of-service by sending a crafted query with binary fan-out fragment spreads. A single unauthenticated request can block the Node.js event loop for seconds, denying service to all concurrent users. This only affects deployments that have enabled the requestComplexity.graphQLDepth or requestComplexity.graphQLFields configuration options. This issue has been patched in versions 8.6.68 and 9.7.0-alpha.12.
CVE-2026-42245 1 Ruby-lang 1 Net\ 2026-07-24 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Net::IMAP implements Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) client functionality in Ruby. Prior to versions 0.4.24, 0.5.14, and 0.6.4, Net::IMAP::ResponseReader has quadratic time complexity when reading large responses containing many string literals. A hostile server can send responses which are crafted to exhaust the client's CPU for a denial of service attack. This issue has been patched in versions 0.4.24, 0.5.14, and 0.6.4.
CVE-2026-48959 2026-07-24 N/A 7.5 HIGH
IO::Uncompress::Unzip versions before 2.220 for Perl allow CPU exhaustion via per-byte read loop in fastForward. fastForward() compares length $offset (the digit count of the offset, 1 to 19) against the chunk size $c instead of $offset itself, so $c shrinks from 16 KiB to 1-19 bytes per iteration. Extracting a named entry from an attacker supplied zip via IO::Uncompress::Unzip->new($zip, Name => $target) drives a per-byte read loop scaling with the entry's compressed size, up to the non-Zip64 4 GiB cap.
CVE-2026-42923 1 Nlnetlabs 1 Unbound 2026-07-24 N/A 5.3 MEDIUM
NLnet Labs Unbound up to and including version 1.25.0 has a vulnerability in the DNSSEC validator where the code path to consult the negative cache for DS records does not take into account the limit on NSEC3 hash calculations introduced in 1.19.1. This leads to degradation of service during the attack. An adversary that controls a DNSSEC signed zone can exploit this by signing NSEC3 records with acceptably high iterations for child delegations and querying a vulnerable Unbound. Unbound will keep performing the allowed hash calculations on the NSEC3 records and will not limit the work by the mitigation introduced in 1.19.1. As a side effect, a global lock for the negative cache will be held for the duration of the hashing, blocking other threads that need to consult the negative cache. Coordinated attacks could raise the vulnerability to denial of service. Unbound 1.25.1 contains a patch with a fix to bound the vulnerable code path with the existing limit for NSEC3 hash calculations.
CVE-2026-45664 1 Imagemagick 1 Imagemagick 2026-07-23 N/A 5.3 MEDIUM
ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to versions 6.9.13-47 and 7.1.2-22, because of a missing check in the MNG coder it would be possible to read more images than the list limit policy would allow resulting in excessive resource use. This issue has been patched in versions 6.9.13-47 and 7.1.2-22.
CVE-2026-41850 1 Vmware 1 Spring Framework 2026-07-23 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Applications that evaluate user-supplied Spring Expression Language (SpEL) expressions are vulnerable to an Algorithmic Denial of Service (DoS). By providing a specially crafted expression, an attacker can trigger excessive resource consumption during evaluation, leading to application degradation or unavailability. Affected versions: Spring Framework 7.0.0 through 7.0.7; 6.2.0 through 6.2.18; 6.1.0 through 6.1.27; 5.3.0 through 5.3.48.
CVE-2026-11312 2026-07-23 1.7 LOW 3.3 LOW
A vulnerability was found in bytedance InfiniStore up to 0.2.33. The impacted element is the function purge_kv_map in the library /src/infinistore.h of the component KV Map Handler. Performing a manipulation results in inefficient algorithmic complexity. The attack requires a local approach. The exploit has been made public and could be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
CVE-2026-8889 1 Securly 1 Securly 2026-07-22 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Version 3.0.7 of the Securly Chrome Extension uses deprecated SHA-1 hashing for IWF CSAM URL matching (25,020 hashes) and CIPA blocklist matching (12,352 hashes).
CVE-2026-42504 2026-07-22 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Decoding a maliciously-crafted MIME header containing many invalid encoded-words can consume excessive CPU.
CVE-2026-8594 2026-07-22 N/A 6.2 MEDIUM
Text::LineFold versions through 2019.001 for Perl duplicate the output based on the number of special break characters. Text::LineFold splits the input string by specific line break characters (such as VT, FF and others) into segments, but applies the break function to the entire string, not just the segment. A side effect of this is that the full input can be duplicated for each segment. Besides being incorrect, this can lead to unexpected resource consumption and possible denial of service. Note that Text::LineFold is part of the Unicode-LineBreak distribution, which may have a higher version number than the module.
CVE-2026-59885 1 Pyasn1 1 Pyasn1 2026-07-21 N/A 7.5 HIGH
pyasn1 is a generic ASN.1 library for Python. Prior to 0.6.4, the BER, CER, and DER decoders process OBJECT IDENTIFIER and RELATIVE-OID values in quadratic time relative to the number of arcs, so a small crafted payload containing an OID with many arcs consumes excessive CPU per decode() call and can deny service to applications that decode untrusted ASN.1 data. The corresponding encoders have the same quadratic behavior when an application re-encodes previously decoded attacker-supplied values. This issue is fixed in version 0.6.4.
CVE-2026-40164 2026-07-15 N/A 7.5 HIGH
jq is a command-line JSON processor. Before commit 0c7d133c3c7e37c00b6d46b658a02244fdd3c784, jq used MurmurHash3 with a hardcoded, publicly visible seed (0x432A9843) for all JSON object hash table operations, which allowed an attacker to precompute key collisions offline. By supplying a crafted JSON object (~100 KB) where all keys hashed to the same bucket, hash table lookups degraded from O(1) to O(n), turning any jq expression into an O(n²) operation and causing significant CPU exhaustion. This affected common jq use cases such as CI/CD pipelines, web services, and data processing scripts, and was far more practical to exploit than existing heap overflow issues since it required only a small payload. This issue has been patched in commit 0c7d133c3c7e37c00b6d46b658a02244fdd3c784.
CVE-2026-59094 2026-07-14 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Pathway through 0.31.1, fixed in commit d09722e, document store applies a caller-supplied glob pattern to indexed document paths using a hand-written recursive matcher that branches two ways on each ** token without memoization, giving exponential worst-case complexity. The filepath_globpattern value is taken from the body of the unauthenticated HTTP endpoints /v1/retrieve, /v1/inputs and /v2/answer and compiled into a filter evaluated once per indexed document, with no length or **-count limit. A remote unauthenticated attacker can submit a short pattern containing many ** tokens to consume CPU for tens of seconds per request, and a small number of requests denies service.
CVE-2024-23684 1 Peteroupc 1 Cbor 2026-07-14 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Inefficient algorithmic complexity in DecodeFromBytes function in com.upokecenter.cbor Java implementation of Concise Binary Object Representation (CBOR) versions 4.0.0 to 4.5.1 allows an attacker to cause a denial of service by passing a maliciously crafted input. Depending on an application's use of this library, this may be a remote attacker.
CVE-2024-21909 1 Peteroupc 1 Cbor 2026-07-14 N/A 7.5 HIGH
PeterO.Cbor versions 4.0.0 through 4.5.0 are vulnerable to a denial of service vulnerability. An attacker may trigger the denial of service condition by providing crafted data to the DecodeFromBytes or other decoding mechanisms in PeterO.Cbor. Depending on the usage of the library, an unauthenticated and remote attacker may be able to cause the denial of service condition.
