| CVE-2026-61725 | 2026-10-30 | N/A | 6.1 MEDIUM | ||
| sevenz-rust2 is a Rust-native 7z compressor and `decompress`or. Prior to 0.21.1, extracting an attacker-supplied 7z archive can write or overwrite files outside the destination directory. In `src/util/decompress.rs`, `decompress_impl` computes each destination with `dest.join(entry.name())` without normalizing the archive's UTF-16 entry name or verifying containment, and `default_entry_extract_fn` writes to it with `File::create`. Parent-directory components escape the extraction root, and an absolute entry path makes the join discard the destination entirely. The convenience entry points `decompress`, `decompress_file`, `decompress_with_password`, and `decompress_file_with_password` all use this default path. Overwriting writable configuration, startup, cron, or build files can lead to code execution or persistence. The archive bytes are the attacker-controlled trust boundary, including for applications that automatically unpack uploaded or otherwise untrusted archives. This issue is fixed in version 0.21.1. | |||||
| CVE-2026-14476 | 2026-10-30 | N/A | 8.0 HIGH | ||
| A path traversal flaw was found in SSSD's AD GPO provider. The ad_gpo_extract_smb_components() function does not sanitize .. sequences in the gPCFileSysPath LDAP attribute, allowing an attacker with AD GPO management access to write files outside the GPO cache directory as root. On default RHEL configurations with SELinux enforcing, this can be used to inject Kerberos configuration leading to authentication bypass. | |||||

| CVE-2026-114714 | 2026-10-28 | N/A | 5.3 MEDIUM | ||
| Roundcube Webmail before 1.6.20 and 1.7.x before 1.7.5 is affected by a path traversal vulnerability in the squirrelmail_usercopy plugin. With the file based backend, the source path was built from the login name without rejecting path separators, so a login name containing a slash could cause files outside the configured squirrelmail_data_dir to be read and imported. Upstream fixed this in the commit “Fix unsafe use of a login name in SquirrelMail import file path”, which rejects login names containing a slash. | |||||
| CVE-2026-90727 | 2026-10-27 | N/A | 3.8 LOW | ||

| CVE-2026-7404 | 2026-10-26 | 7.5 HIGH | 7.3 HIGH | ||
| A weakness has been identified in getsimpletool mcpo-simple-server up to 0.2.0. Affected is the function delete_shared_prompt of the file src/mcpo_simple_server/services/prompt_manager/base_manager.py. This manipulation of the argument detail causes relative path traversal. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet. | |||||
| CVE-2026-42085 | 1 Openc3 | 1 Cosmos | 2026-10-26 | N/A | 4.3 MEDIUM |
| OpenC3 COSMOS provides the functionality needed to send commands to and receive data from one or more embedded systems. Prior to versions 6.10.5 and 7.0.0-rc3, OpenC3 COSMOS contains a design flaw in the save_tool_config() function that allows saving tool configuration files at arbitrary locations inside the shared /plugins directory tree by supplying crafted configuration filenames. Although the implementation sufficiently mitigates standard path traversal attacks, by canonicalizing filename to an absolute path, all plugins share this same root directory. That enables users to create arbitrary file structures and overwrite existing configuration files within the shared /plugins directory. This issue has been patched in versions 6.10.5 and 7.0.0-rc3. | |||||
| CVE-2026-43616 | 1 Horsicq | 1 Detect-it-easy | 2026-10-26 | N/A | 7.1 HIGH |
| Detect-It-Easy prior to 3.21 contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows attackers to write arbitrary files to the filesystem by crafting malicious archive entries with relative traversal sequences or absolute paths. Attackers can exploit insufficient path normalization during archive extraction to write files outside the intended extraction directory and achieve persistent code execution by overwriting user startup scripts. | |||||
| CVE-2026-110690 | 2026-10-26 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH | ||
| Cloud Commander (cloudcmd) versions 19.20.2 through 19.21.1 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the GET /api/v1/pack endpoint where the onGET handler at server/rest/index.js:130 calls the unguarded root() function instead of the root.resolve() validation wrapper used elsewhere. Attackers can send percent-encoded directory traversal sequences in the pack request path to read arbitrary files outside the configured --root directory, such as /etc/passwd or SSH private keys, which are archived and streamed back as a downloadable tar.gz file. | |||||
