| CVE-2026-5188 | 1 Wolfssl | 1 Wolfssl | 2026-06-17 | N/A | 8.1 HIGH |
| An integer underflow issue exists in wolfSSL when parsing the Subject Alternative Name (SAN) extension of X.509 certificates. A malformed certificate can specify an entry length larger than the enclosing sequence, causing the internal length counter to wrap during parsing. This results in incorrect handling of certificate data. The issue is limited to configurations using the original ASN.1 parsing implementation which is off by default. | |||||
| CVE-2026-47222 | 2026-06-17 | N/A | 5.4 MEDIUM | ||
| NanaZip is the 7-Zip derivative intended for the modern Windows experience. From version 3.0.1000.0 to before version 6.0.1698.0, a heap out-of-bounds read exists in the Android Verified Boot (AVB) vbmeta image parser in NanaZip (via the upstream 7-Zip AvbHandler). An unsigned integer underflow in a bounds check allows an attacker-controlled value_num_bytes field to pass validation, causing AddNameToString to read up to ~4 GiB past the end of a 64 KiB heap buffer. This causes a deterministic crash (denial of service) when opening a crafted .avb or .img file. This issue has been patched in stable version 6.0.1698.0 and preview version 6.5.1742.0. | |||||
| CVE-2026-43916 | 2026-06-17 | N/A | N/A | ||
| pam_authnft is a PAM session module binding nftables firewall rules to authenticated sessions via cgroupv2 inodes. Prior to 0.2.0-alpha, a heap buffer over-read in peer_lookup_tcp (src/peer_lookup.c:134, prior to the fix) allowed a crafted NETLINK_SOCK_DIAG reply to slip past the message-size check, then dereference past the end of the allocation. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.2.0-alpha. | |||||
| CVE-2026-43359 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-06-17 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: fix transaction abort on set received ioctl due to item overflow If the set received ioctl fails due to an item overflow when attempting to add the BTRFS_UUID_KEY_RECEIVED_SUBVOL we have to abort the transaction since we did some metadata updates before. This means that if a user calls this ioctl with the same received UUID field for a lot of subvolumes, we will hit the overflow, trigger the transaction abort and turn the filesystem into RO mode. A malicious user could exploit this, and this ioctl does not even requires that a user has admin privileges (CAP_SYS_ADMIN), only that he/she owns the subvolume. Fix this by doing an early check for item overflow before starting a transaction. This is also race safe because we are holding the subvol_sem semaphore in exclusive (write) mode. A test case for fstests will follow soon. | |||||
| CVE-2026-43301 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-06-17 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: chips-media: wave5: Fix PM runtime usage count underflow Replace pm_runtime_put_sync() with pm_runtime_dont_use_autosuspend() in the remove path to properly pair with pm_runtime_use_autosuspend() from probe. This allows pm_runtime_disable() to handle reference count cleanup correctly regardless of current suspend state. The driver calls pm_runtime_put_sync() unconditionally in remove, but the device may already be suspended due to autosuspend configured in probe. When autosuspend has already suspended the device, the usage count is 0, and pm_runtime_put_sync() decrements it to -1. This causes the following warning on module unload: ------------[ cut here ]------------ WARNING: CPU: 1 PID: 963 at kernel/kthread.c:1430 kthread_destroy_worker+0x84/0x98 ... vdec 30210000.video-codec: Runtime PM usage count underflow! | |||||
| CVE-2026-43187 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-06-17 | N/A | 8.8 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: delete attr leaf freemap entries when empty Back in commit 2a2b5932db6758 ("xfs: fix attr leaf header freemap.size underflow"), Brian Foster observed that it's possible for a small freemap at the end of the end of the xattr entries array to experience a size underflow when subtracting the space consumed by an expansion of the entries array. There are only three freemap entries, which means that it is not a complete index of all free space in the leaf block. This code can leave behind a zero-length freemap entry with a nonzero base. Subsequent setxattr operations can increase the base up to the point that it overlaps with another freemap entry. This isn't in and of itself a problem because the code in _leaf_add that finds free space ignores any freemap entry with zero size. However, there's another bug in the freemap update code in _leaf_add, which is that it fails to update a freemap entry that begins midway through the xattr entry that was just appended to the array. That can result in the freemap containing two entries with the same base but different sizes (0 for the "pushed-up" entry, nonzero for the entry that's actually tracking free space). A subsequent _leaf_add can then allocate xattr namevalue entries on top of the entries array, leading to data loss. But fixing that is for later. For now, eliminate the possibility of confusion by zeroing out the base of any freemap entry that has zero size. Because the freemap is not intended to be a complete index of free space, a subsequent failure to find any free space for a new xattr will trigger block compaction, which regenerates the freemap. It looks like this bug has been in the codebase for quite a long time. | |||||
| CVE-2026-43171 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-06-17 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: EFI/CPER: don't dump the entire memory region The current logic at cper_print_fw_err() doesn't check if the error record length is big enough to handle offset. On a bad firmware, if the ofset is above the actual record, length -= offset will underflow, making it dump the entire memory. The end result can be: - the logic taking a lot of time dumping large regions of memory; - data disclosure due to the memory dumps; - an OOPS, if it tries to dump an unmapped memory region. Fix it by checking if the section length is too small before doing a hex dump. [ rjw: Subject tweaks ] | |||||
| CVE-2026-42268 | 1 Owasp | 1 Modsecurity | 2026-06-17 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| ModSecurity is an open source, cross platform web application firewall (WAF) engine for Apache, IIS and Nginx. From 3.0.0 to before 3.0.15, there is an unhandled exception (std::out_of_range) caused by unsigned integer underflow in libmodsecurity3 if the user (administrator) uses a rule any of @verifySSN, @verifyCPF, or @verifySVNR. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.0.15. | |||||
| CVE-2026-41499 | 1 Wazuh | 1 Wazuh | 2026-06-17 | N/A | 6.5 MEDIUM |
| Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response. From version 4.0.0 to before version 4.14.4, multiple heap-based out-of-bounds WRITE vulnerabilities exist in parse_uname_string() (remoted_op.c). This function processes OS identification data from agents and contains a dangerous code pattern that appears in 4 locations within the same function: writing to strlen(ptr) - 1 without checking for empty strings. When the string is empty, strlen() returns 0, and 0 - 1 wraps to SIZE_MAX due to unsigned integer underflow. Due to pointer arithmetic wrapping, SIZE_MAX effectively becomes -1, causing a write exactly 1 byte before the allocated buffer. This corrupts heap metadata (e.g., the chunk size field in glibc malloc), leading to heap corruption. This issue has been patched in version 4.14.4. | |||||

| CVE-2026-39855 | 1 Osslsigncode Project | 1 Osslsigncode | 2026-06-17 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| osslsigncode is a tool that implements Authenticode signing and timestamping. Prior to 2.13, an integer underflow vulnerability exists in osslsigncode version 2.12 and earlier in the PE page-hash computation code (pe_page_hash_calc()). When page hash processing is performed on a PE file, the function subtracts hdrsize from pagesize without first validating that pagesize >= hdrsize. If a malicious PE file sets SizeOfHeaders (hdrsize) larger than SectionAlignment (pagesize), the subtraction underflows and produces a very large unsigned length. The code allocates a zero-filled buffer of pagesize bytes and then attempts to hash pagesize - hdrsize bytes from that buffer. After the underflow, this results in an out-of-bounds read from the heap and can crash the process. The vulnerability can be triggered while signing a malicious PE file with page hashing enabled (-ph), or while verifying a malicious signed PE file that already contains page hashes. Verification of an already signed file does not require the verifier to pass -ph. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.13. | |||||
| CVE-2026-39314 | 1 Openprinting | 1 Cups | 2026-06-17 | N/A | 4.0 MEDIUM |
| OpenPrinting CUPS is an open source printing system for Linux and other Unix-like operating systems. In versions 2.4.16 and prior, an integer underflow vulnerability in _ppdCreateFromIPP() (cups/ppd-cache.c) allows any unprivileged local user to crash the cupsd root process by supplying a negative job-password-supported IPP attribute. The bounds check only caps the upper bound, so a negative value passes validation, is cast to size_t (wrapping to ~2^64), and is used as the length argument to memset() on a 33-byte stack buffer. This causes an immediate SIGSEGV in the cupsd root process. Combined with systemd's Restart=on-failure, an attacker can repeat the crash for sustained denial of service. | |||||
| CVE-2026-37534 | 2026-06-17 | N/A | 9.8 CRITICAL | ||
| Integer underflow vulnerability in Open-SAE-J1939 thru commit b6caf884df46435e539b1ecbf92b6c29b345bdfe (2025-11-30) in SAE_J1939_Read_Transport_Protocol_Data_Transfer,allows attackers to write to arbitrary memory via crafted sequence number from the CAN frame. | |||||
| CVE-2026-34064 | 1 Nimiq | 1 Nimiq Proof-of-stake | 2026-06-17 | N/A | 5.3 MEDIUM |
| nimiq-account contains account primitives to be used in Nimiq's Rust implementation. Prior to version 1.3.0, `VestingContract::can_change_balance` returns `AccountError::InsufficientFunds` when `new_balance < min_cap`, but it constructs the error using `balance: self.balance - min_cap`. `Coin::sub` panics on underflow, so if an attacker can reach a state where `min_cap > balance`, the node crashes while trying to return an error. The `min_cap > balance` precondition is attacker-reachable because the vesting contract creation data (32-byte format) allows encoding `total_amount` without validating `total_amount <= transaction.value` (the real contract balance). After creating such a vesting contract, the attacker can broadcast an outgoing transaction to trigger the panic during mempool admission and block processing. The patch for this vulnerability is included as part of v1.3.0. No known workarounds are available. | |||||
| CVE-2026-33899 | 1 Imagemagick | 1 Imagemagick | 2026-06-17 | N/A | 5.3 MEDIUM |
| ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. In versions below 7.1.2-189 and 6.9.13-44, when `Magick` parses an XML file it is possible that a single zero byte is written out of the bounds. This issue has been fixed in versions 6.9.13-44 and 7.1.2-19. | |||||
