| CVE-2026-90895 | 2026-09-16 | N/A | N/A | ||
| Affected versions of MISP’s interactive CLI shell implement access control independently from the normal web application, causing several authorization inconsistencies. The patch shows that CLI access could differ from the web application in multiple security-sensitive areas: - feed listings did not enforce the same lookup_visible restrictions for non-host-organisation users; - feed detail access did not enforce the same host-organisation/site-admin authorization as FeedsController::view(); - Feed.headers, which can contain HTTP authorization credentials, could be exposed instead of being hidden or masked; - server synchronization authkey values were not explicitly hidden from CLI detail output; - sharing-group detail access did not consistently use SharingGroup::checkIfAuthorised(); - the use command could establish context for a record without first proving that the user was authorized to view that record The commit additionally hardens pagination and terminal rendering, including neutralization of terminal control sequences found in database-backed values. Those are important hardening changes, but the main vulnerability is the CLI authorization/data-disclosure mismatch. Version affected: ≤2.5.45 | |||||
| CVE-2026-90773 | 2026-09-14 | N/A | 3.2 LOW | ||
| procs through 0.14.12 fails to sanitize escape sequences in process command lines before displaying them in the Command column. Local attackers can execute processes with malicious ANSI or OSC escape sequences in their command line arguments, which are written unmodified to other users' terminals for interpretation by terminal emulators. | |||||
| CVE-2026-64654 | 2026-09-10 | N/A | N/A | ||
| GitHub CLI (gh) is GitHub's official command line tool. Prior to version 2.97.0, multiple GitHub CLI commands printed externally controlled gist, API, pull request, release, codespace, skill, or agent-task content without neutralizing terminal escape sequences. An attacker who can influence that content can embed escape sequences that are interpreted by the terminal of a user who runs an affected command, with impact ranging from cosmetic manipulation of the title or on-screen content to, on some terminal emulators, command execution. This extends the same class of issue as CVE-2026-45803—which addressed only gh run view --log—to the other affected command paths. This issue is fixed in version 2.97.0. | |||||
| CVE-2026-73506 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | 6.1 MEDIUM | ||
| Oh My Posh is the most customisable and low-latency cross platform/shell prompt renderer. Prior to 29.35.1, write(s rune) in src/terminal/writer.go emitted attacker-controlled current directory names and Git metadata, including Commit.Subject, Commit.Author.Name, Commit.Author.Email, and RawUpstreamURL, without removing C0/C1 terminal control characters such as ESC, BEL, CSI, and OSC, allowing terminal escape sequence injection during prompt rendering that could overwrite the clipboard, spoof the prompt or screen, manipulate the window title, or disrupt the terminal. This issue is fixed in version 29.35.1. | |||||
| CVE-2026-73414 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | N/A | ||
| Shescape is a simple shell escape library for JavaScript. Prior to 2.1.14 and 3.0.1, getEscapeFunction in src/internal/win/cmd.js does not escape `(` and `)` when applications use the escape or escapeAll APIs on Windows with shell set to cmd.exe, or with shell set to true when CMD is the default. An attacker-controlled argument can break out of a parenthesized CMD construct and inject shell syntax depending on the original command, resulting in arbitrary command execution. This issue is fixed in versions 2.1.14 and 3.0.1. | |||||
| CVE-2026-72913 | 2026-09-09 | N/A | N/A | ||
| Kitty is a cross-platform GPU based terminal. Prior to 0.48.2, the @kitty-echo and @kitty-ssh DCS handlers in kitty/window.py write unauthenticated data to the child shell's stdin, where handle_remote_echo accepts printable shell command characters and handle_remote_ssh calls get_ssh_data in kittens/ssh/utils.py, which emits a newline; chaining the handlers can execute attacker-controlled commands when a user displays untrusted terminal data. This issue is fixed in version 0.48.2. | |||||
| CVE-2026-82710 | 2026-09-08 | N/A | N/A | ||
| Improper Neutralization of Escape, Meta, or Control Sequences vulnerability in ash-project usage_rules allows a malicious package publisher to inject terminal control sequences into the output of mix usage_rules.search_docs. mix usage_rules.search_docs searches Hex documentation through search.hexdocs.pm, which indexes the documentation of every published package, and prints the matching results (title, package, type, doc reference, and highlighted snippets) to the terminal. The formatter in Mix.Tasks.UsageRules.SearchDocs interpolated those publisher-controlled fields verbatim, neutralizing no terminal control characters; the only transform it applied adds escape sequences rather than removing them. A malicious package can embed ANSI terminal escape sequences (cursor movement, line erase, carriage returns, OSC 52 clipboard writes) in its indexed documentation, so when a developer runs a search that surfaces those docs the sequences reach the terminal unchanged — forging the displayed hexdocs URL or a suggested command, hiding text, or writing to the clipboard. No authentication or privileged position is required; only publishing a package. This issue affects usage_rules: from 0.1.18 before 1.2.8. | |||||
| CVE-2026-82584 | 2026-09-08 | N/A | N/A | ||
| Improper Neutralization of Escape, Meta, or Control Sequences vulnerability in ash-project igniter allows a malicious package publisher to forge the mix igniter.install confirmation prompt. mix igniter.install prints a confirmation panel (an anti-typosquatting safeguard) listing a package's hex metadata before adding it. The panel builder in Igniter.Project.Deps wrote publisher-controlled fields (meta.description, owner usernames, requirement names, version) to the terminal with only newlines stripped. A malicious or typosquatted package can embed ANSI terminal escape sequences (cursor movement, line erase, carriage returns) in its metadata to overwrite the panel, forging trusted author names and download counts while concealing the real ones, so a developer relying on the panel to vet the package is deceived into approving a malicious dependency. This issue affects igniter: from 0.8.1 before 0.8.4. | |||||
| CVE-2026-19591 | 2026-09-02 | N/A | 8.8 HIGH | ||
| OpenAI Codex CLI for Windows, macOS, and Linux and Codex Desktop for Windows and macOS misclassified certain PowerShell commands as safe because their command-safety parser interpreted PowerShell's stop-parsing token (--%) differently than PowerShell itself. If a user opens an attacker-prepared repository and Codex follows its instructions, Codex can run a file-writing Git command without requesting user approval. On macOS and Linux, exploitation additionally requires separately installed PowerShell Core (pwsh) to be invoked. If filesystem protections permit the write, the command can modify Codex's configuration. If Codex later loads the modified configuration, it can launch an attacker-controlled MCP server and execute code with the user's privileges, allowing it to read, change, or delete files accessible to that account. The approval bypass does not disable filesystem sandboxing; the default filesystem sandbox on macOS and Linux can prevent writes outside permitted locations. | |||||
| CVE-2026-72847 | 2026-08-21 | N/A | 4.6 MEDIUM | ||
| broot renders each file and directory name in its interactive tree view exactly as read from the filesystem. Names are converted with a plain to_string_lossy() call in src/tree_build/builder.rs and in TreeLine::unprune in src/tree/tree_line.rs, and no control-character filtering exists anywhere in the code, even though the doc comment on the TreeLine name field states that some characters may have been stripped. Any local user who can create a file can therefore place an escape sequence in its name and have it written unmodified to the terminal of anyone who browses that directory, between broot's own styling codes. A reported proof of concept used an OSC 52 clipboard-write sequence and captured the raw bytes broot wrote to its pty, confirming the sequence reaches the terminal unstripped. What an injected OSC or CSI sequence can then do depends on the terminal emulator in use. Browsing a directory is broot's primary function and carries no expectation that the content is trusted. | |||||
| CVE-2026-75483 | 2026-08-20 | N/A | 3.3 LOW | ||
| powerlevel10k fails to neutralize control characters in the package.json version field when rendering the package prompt segment. Attackers can inject raw escape bytes in the version string to emit arbitrary terminal control sequences on each prompt render when the shell enters affected directories. | |||||
| CVE-2026-73036 | 2026-08-12 | N/A | 4.4 MEDIUM | ||
| Bash-it 3.2.0 contains a terminal escape sequence injection vulnerability in the barbuk theme's Python virtualenv prompt segment that allows local attackers to inject arbitrary terminal control sequences by embedding escape sequences in the requires-python field of a pyproject.toml file. When a user navigates into a directory containing a maliciously crafted pyproject.toml, the unfiltered field value is read via awk and concatenated directly into PS1 through __prompt-command without stripping control characters, causing injected OSC or CSI sequences to be written to and interpreted by the terminal emulator on every prompt render. | |||||
| CVE-2026-73035 | 2026-08-11 | N/A | 4.3 MEDIUM | ||
| npm-check-updates through 23.0.2, fixed in commit b554b84, contains a terminal escape sequence injection vulnerability that allows an attacker to embed arbitrary terminal control characters in a dependency's package.json homepage or repository URL fields. When a developer runs ncu with the --format homepage or --format repo option, unfiltered escape sequences are written directly to the terminal, enabling malicious output manipulation or other terminal-dependent effects. | |||||
| CVE-2026-6019 | 1 Python | 1 Python | 2026-07-27 | N/A | 6.1 MEDIUM |
| http.cookies.Morsel.js_output() returns an inline <script> snippet and only escapes " for JavaScript string context. It does not neutralize the HTML parser-sensitive sequence </script> inside the generated script element. Mitigation base64-encodes the cookie value to disallow escaping using cookie value. | |||||
| CVE-2026-46740 | 2026-07-24 | N/A | 5.3 MEDIUM | ||
| Mojolicious::Plugin::Statsd versions through 0.04 for Perl allowed metric injections. The metric names and set values were not checked for newlines, colons or pipes. Metrics generated from untrusted sources could inject additional statsd metrics. Version 0.06 changes the module from being a statsd client to using a separate statsd client. It defaults to using a version of Net::Statsd::Tiny that fixes a similar issue (CVE-2026-46720). | |||||
| CVE-2026-39879 | 2026-07-23 | N/A | 7.1 HIGH | ||
| Due to a missing sanitization call in [`afsql_dd_run_query`](https://github.com/syslog-ng/syslog-ng/blob/649e6e18e3459fb4467000a88dfb12fa97f9719c/modules/afsql/afsql.c#L219), syslog-ng before 4.12 are vulnerable to SQL injection from an untrusted source. This is not part of the default configuration, the SQL driver has to be manually configured. Fixes are in syslog-ng 4.12, syslog-ng Premium Edition 8.2 and syslog-ng Store Box 7.8 | |||||
| CVE-2026-8722 | 1 Team | 1 Net\ | 2026-07-22 | N/A | 6.5 MEDIUM |
| Net::Async::Statsd::Client versions through 0.005 for Perl allow metric injections. The metric names are not checked for newlines, colons or pipes. Metrics generated from untrusted sources could inject additional statsd metrics. | |||||
| CVE-2026-46739 | 1 Cosimo | 1 Net\ | 2026-07-22 | N/A | 5.3 MEDIUM |
| Net::Statsd versions before 0.13 for Perl allow metric injections. The metric names are not checked for newlines, colons or pipes. Metrics generated from untrusted sources could inject additional statsd metrics. The update_stats (used for updating counters) and gauge methods do not check that values are numeric (which would block metric injection). | |||||
| CVE-2026-46741 | 1 Sanbeg | 1 Etsy\ | 2026-07-22 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| Etsy::StatsD versions through 1.002002 for Perl allow metric injections. The metric names and values are not checked for newlines, colons or pipes. Metrics generated from untrusted sources could inject additional statsd metrics. Note that the git repository contains an unreleased version with the gauge and set methods that also do not check for potential metric injections. | |||||
| CVE-2026-62948 | 1 Openwrt | 1 Openwrt | 2026-07-21 | N/A | 9.6 CRITICAL |
| OpenWrt is a Linux operating system targeting embedded devices. Prior to 25.12.5, odhcpd writes a DHCPv6 client FQDN option 39 hostname into /tmp/odhcpd.leases through src/statefiles.c statefiles_write_state6() and statefiles_write_state4() without escaping, allowing newline injection of forged lease lines that LuCI rpcd-mod-luci getDHCPLeases displays through htdocs/luci-static/resources/view/status/include/40_dhcp.js and htdocs/luci-static/resources/luci.js dom.append as live HTML in the Active DHCPv6 Leases admin page. This vulnerability is fixed in 25.12.5. | |||||
