| CVE-2026-52990 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-14 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fsnotify: fix inode reference leak in fsnotify_recalc_mask() fsnotify_recalc_mask() fails to handle the return value of __fsnotify_recalc_mask(), which may return an inode pointer that needs to be released via fsnotify_drop_object() when the connector's HAS_IREF flag transitions from set to cleared. This manifests as a hung task with the following call trace: INFO: task umount:1234 blocked for more than 120 seconds. Call Trace: __schedule schedule fsnotify_sb_delete generic_shutdown_super kill_anon_super cleanup_mnt task_work_run do_exit do_group_exit The race window that triggers the iref leak: Thread A (adding mark) Thread B (removing mark) ────────────────────── ──────────────────────── fsnotify_add_mark_locked(): fsnotify_add_mark_list(): spin_lock(conn->lock) add mark_B(evictable) to list spin_unlock(conn->lock) return /* ---- gap: no lock held ---- */ fsnotify_detach_mark(mark_A): spin_lock(mark_A->lock) clear ATTACHED flag on mark_A spin_unlock(mark_A->lock) fsnotify_put_mark(mark_A) fsnotify_recalc_mask(): spin_lock(conn->lock) __fsnotify_recalc_mask(): /* mark_A skipped: ATTACHED cleared */ /* only mark_B(evictable) remains */ want_iref = false has_iref = true /* not yet cleared */ -> HAS_IREF transitions true -> false -> returns inode pointer spin_unlock(conn->lock) /* BUG: return value discarded! * iput() and fsnotify_put_sb_watched_objects() * are never called */ Fix this by deferring the transition true -> false of HAS_IREF flag from fsnotify_recalc_mask() (Thread A) to fsnotify_put_mark() (thread B). | |||||
| CVE-2026-52957 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-14 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: Fix potential null-ptr-deref in decode_choose_args() A message of type CEPH_MSG_OSD_MAP contains an OSD map that itself contains a CRUSH map. When decoding this CRUSH map in crush_decode(), an array of max_buckets CRUSH buckets is decoded, where some indices may not refer to actual buckets and are therefore set to NULL. The received CRUSH map may optionally contain choose_args that get decoded in decode_choose_args(). When decoding a crush_choose_arg_map, a series of choose_args for different buckets is decoded, with the bucket_index being read from the incoming message. It is only checked that the bucket index does not exceed max_buckets, but not that it doesn't point to an index with a NULL bucket. If a (potentially corrupted) message contains a crush_choose_arg_map including such a bucket_index, a null pointer dereference may occur in the subsequent processing when attempting to access the bucket with the given index. This patch fixes the issue by extending the affected check. Now, it is only attempted to access the bucket if it is not NULL. | |||||
| CVE-2026-52958 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-14 | N/A | 9.1 CRITICAL |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libceph: Fix potential out-of-bounds access in osdmap_decode() When decoding osd_state and osd_weight from an incoming osdmap in osdmap_decode(), both are decoded for each osd, i.e., map->max_osd times. The ceph_decode_need() check only accounts for sizeof(*map->osd_weight) once. This can potentially result in an out-of-bounds memory access if the incoming message is corrupted such that the max_osd value exceeds the actual content of the osdmap message. This patch fixes the issue by changing the corresponding part in the ceph_decode_need() check to account for map->max_osd*sizeof(*map->osd_weight). | |||||
| CVE-2026-52959 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-14 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: virt: sev-guest: Do not use host-controlled page order in cleanup path When issuing an extended guest request (SVM_VMGEXIT_EXT_GUEST_REQUEST), get_ext_report() allocates a buffer to retrieve a certificate blob from the host, keeping track of its size in report_req->certs_len. However, the host may return SNP_GUEST_VMM_ERR_INVALID_LEN, indicating an invalid buffer size, as well as the expected length of such buffer. get_ext_report() subsequently updates report_req->certs_len with the host-controlled value, and cleans up the buffer by computing a page order from such value. This is incorrect, as the host-provided length may not match the page order of the original allocation, potentially resulting in corruption in the page allocator. Fix this by using alloc_pages_exact() instead, and reusing @npages to compute the size passed to free_pages_exact(). For consistency, also use @npages to compute the size when allocating the pages, even though this last change has no functional effect. | |||||
| CVE-2026-52960 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-14 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ceph: put folios not suitable for writeback The batch holds references to the folios (see `filemap_get_folios`, `folio_batch_release`), so we need to `folio_put` the folios we remove. Tested on v6.18. | |||||
| CVE-2026-52962 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-14 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ceph: fix a buffer leak in __ceph_setxattr() The old_blob in __ceph_setxattr() can store ci->i_xattrs.prealloc_blob value during the retry. However, it is never called the ceph_buffer_put() for the old_blob object. This patch fixes the issue of the buffer leak. | |||||
| CVE-2026-52963 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-14 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usb-audio: Bound MIDI endpoint descriptor scans snd_usbmidi_get_ms_info() validates the internal MIDIStreaming endpoint descriptor size before using baAssocJackID[], but the descriptor walker can still return a class-specific endpoint descriptor whose bLength exceeds the remaining bytes in the endpoint-extra scan. That leaves later flexible-array reads bounded by bLength, but not by the remaining bytes in the endpoint-extra scan. Stop walking when bLength is zero or extends past the remaining endpoint-extra scan. | |||||
| CVE-2026-52964 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-14 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usb-audio: Bound MIDI 2.0 endpoint descriptor scans The USB MIDI 2.0 endpoint parser has the same descriptor walking pattern as the legacy MIDI parser. It validates bLength against bNumGrpTrmBlock before reading baAssoGrpTrmBlkID[], but not against the remaining bytes in the endpoint-extra scan. A malformed device can therefore make later baAssoGrpTrmBlkID[] reads consume bytes past the walked descriptor. Reject zero-length and overlong descriptors while walking endpoint extras. | |||||
| CVE-2026-0246 | 4 Apple, Linux, Microsoft and 1 more | 4 Macos, Linux Kernel, Windows and 1 more | 2026-07-14 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| A vulnerability with a privilege management mechanism in the Palo Alto Networks Prisma Access Agent® enables a locally authenticated non-administrative user to escalate their privileges to root on macOS and Linux or NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM on Windows. This allows the user to execute arbitrary code and read sensitive information otherwise accessible only to privileged accounts. The Prisma Access Agent on iOS, Android and Chrome OS are not affected. | |||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/CPU/AMD: Prevent improper isolation of shared resources in Zen2's op cache Make sure resources are not improperly shared in the op cache and cause instruction corruption this way. | |||||
| CVE-2026-43057 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-14 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: correctly handle tunneled traffic on IPV6_CSUM GSO fallback NETIF_F_IPV6_CSUM only advertises support for checksum offload of packets without IPv6 extension headers. Packets with extension headers must fall back onto software checksumming. Since TSO depends on checksum offload, those must revert to GSO. The below commit introduces that fallback. It always checks network header length. For tunneled packets, the inner header length must be checked instead. Extend the check accordingly. A special case is tunneled packets without inner IP protocol. Such as RFC 6951 SCTP in UDP. Those are not standard IPv6 followed by transport header either, so also must revert to the software GSO path. | |||||
| CVE-2026-43040 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-14 | N/A | 7.1 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ipv6: ndisc: fix ndisc_ra_useropt to initialize nduseropt_padX fields to zero to prevent an info-leak When processing Router Advertisements with user options the kernel builds an RTM_NEWNDUSEROPT netlink message. The nduseroptmsg struct has three padding fields that are never zeroed and can leak kernel data The fix is simple, just zeroes the padding fields. | |||||
| CVE-2026-43035 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-14 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: sched: cls_api: fix tc_chain_fill_node to initialize tcm_info to zero to prevent an info-leak When building netlink messages, tc_chain_fill_node() never initializes the tcm_info field of struct tcmsg. Since the allocation is not zeroed, kernel heap memory is leaked to userspace through this 4-byte field. The fix simply zeroes tcm_info alongside the other fields that are already initialized. | |||||
| CVE-2026-43033 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-14 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: authencesn - Do not place hiseq at end of dst for out-of-place decryption When decrypting data that is not in-place (src != dst), there is no need to save the high-order sequence bits in dst as it could simply be re-copied from the source. However, the data to be hashed need to be rearranged accordingly. Thanks, | |||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: x_tables: ensure names are nul-terminated Reject names that lack a \0 character before feeding them to functions that expect c-strings. Fixes tag is the most recent commit that needs this change. | |||||
| CVE-2026-43027 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-14 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_conntrack_helper: pass helper to expect cleanup nf_conntrack_helper_unregister() calls nf_ct_expect_iterate_destroy() to remove expectations belonging to the helper being unregistered. However, it passes NULL instead of the helper pointer as the data argument, so expect_iter_me() never matches any expectation and all of them survive the cleanup. After unregister returns, nfnl_cthelper_del() frees the helper object immediately. Subsequent expectation dumps or packet-driven init_conntrack() calls then dereference the freed exp->helper, causing a use-after-free. Pass the actual helper pointer so expectations referencing it are properly destroyed before the helper object is freed. | CVE-2026-43026 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-14 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: ctnetlink: zero expect NAT fields when CTA_EXPECT_NAT absent ctnetlink_alloc_expect() allocates expectations from a non-zeroing slab cache via nf_ct_expect_alloc(). When CTA_EXPECT_NAT is not present in the netlink message, saved_addr and saved_proto are never initialized. Stale data from a previous slab occupant can then be dumped to userspace by ctnetlink_exp_dump_expect(), which checks these fields to decide whether to emit CTA_EXPECT_NAT. The safe sibling nf_ct_expect_init(), used by the packet path, explicitly zeroes these fields. Zero saved_addr, saved_proto and dir in the else branch, guarded by IS_ENABLED(CONFIG_NF_NAT) since these fields only exist when NAT is enabled. Confirmed by priming the expect slab with NAT-bearing expectations, freeing them, creating a new expectation without CTA_EXPECT_NAT, and observing that the ctnetlink dump emits a spurious CTA_EXPECT_NAT containing stale data from the prior allocation. | |||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: ctnetlink: ignore explicit helper on new expectations Use the existing master conntrack helper, anything else is not really supported and it just makes validation more complicated, so just ignore what helper userspace suggests for this expectation. This was uncovered when validating CTA_EXPECT_CLASS via different helper provided by userspace than the existing master conntrack helper: BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in nf_ct_expect_related_report+0x2479/0x27c0 Read of size 4 at addr ffff8880043fe408 by task poc/102 Call Trace: nf_ct_expect_related_report+0x2479/0x27c0 ctnetlink_create_expect+0x22b/0x3b0 ctnetlink_new_expect+0x4bd/0x5c0 nfnetlink_rcv_msg+0x67a/0x950 netlink_rcv_skb+0x120/0x350 Allowing to read kernel memory bytes off the expectation boundary. | In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: reject immediate NF_QUEUE verdict nft_queue is always used from userspace nftables to deliver the NF_QUEUE verdict. Immediately emitting an NF_QUEUE verdict is never used by the userspace nft tools, so reject immediate NF_QUEUE verdicts. The arp family does not provide queue support, but such an immediate verdict is still reachable. Globally reject NF_QUEUE immediate verdicts to address this issue. | |||||
