| CVE-2026-46145 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-09 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/mana: Validate rx_hash_key_len Sashiko points out that rx_hash_key_len comes from a uAPI structure and is blindly passed to memcpy, allowing the userspace to trash kernel memory. Bounds check it so the memcpy cannot overflow. | |||||
| CVE-2026-46099 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-09 | N/A | 8.1 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ipv6: fix NOREF dst use in seg6 and rpl lwtunnels seg6_input_core() and rpl_input() call ip6_route_input() which sets a NOREF dst on the skb, then pass it to dst_cache_set_ip6() invoking dst_hold() unconditionally. On PREEMPT_RT, ksoftirqd is preemptible and a higher-priority task can release the underlying pcpu_rt between the lookup and the caching through a concurrent FIB lookup on a shared nexthop. Simplified race sequence: ksoftirqd/X higher-prio task (same CPU X) ----------- -------------------------------- seg6_input_core(,skb)/rpl_input(skb) dst_cache_get() -> miss ip6_route_input(skb) -> ip6_pol_route(,skb,flags) [RT6_LOOKUP_F_DST_NOREF in flags] -> FIB lookup resolves fib6_nh [nhid=N route] -> rt6_make_pcpu_route() [creates pcpu_rt, refcount=1] pcpu_rt->sernum = fib6_sernum [fib6_sernum=W] -> cmpxchg(fib6_nh.rt6i_pcpu, NULL, pcpu_rt) [slot was empty, store succeeds] -> skb_dst_set_noref(skb, dst) [dst is pcpu_rt, refcount still 1] rt_genid_bump_ipv6() -> bumps fib6_sernum [fib6_sernum from W to Z] ip6_route_output() -> ip6_pol_route() -> FIB lookup resolves fib6_nh [nhid=N] -> rt6_get_pcpu_route() pcpu_rt->sernum != fib6_sernum [W <> Z, stale] -> prev = xchg(rt6i_pcpu, NULL) -> dst_release(prev) [prev is pcpu_rt, refcount 1->0, dead] dst = skb_dst(skb) [dst is the dead pcpu_rt] dst_cache_set_ip6(dst) -> dst_hold() on dead dst -> WARN / use-after-free For the race to occur, ksoftirqd must be preemptible (PREEMPT_RT without PREEMPT_RT_NEEDS_BH_LOCK) and a concurrent task must be able to release the pcpu_rt. Shared nexthop objects provide such a path, as two routes pointing to the same nhid share the same fib6_nh and its rt6i_pcpu entry. Fix seg6_input_core() and rpl_input() by calling skb_dst_force() after ip6_route_input() to force the NOREF dst into a refcounted one before caching. The output path is not affected as ip6_route_output() already returns a refcounted dst. | |||||
| CVE-2026-35172 | 1 Distribution | 1 Distribution | 2026-09-09 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| Distribution is a toolkit to pack, ship, store, and deliver container content. Prior to 3.1.0, distribution can restore read access in repo a after an explicit delete when storage.cache.blobdescriptor: redis and storage.delete.enabled: true are both enabled. The delete path clears the shared digest descriptor but leaves stale repo-scoped membership behind, so a later Stat or Get from repo b repopulates the shared descriptor and makes the deleted blob readable from repo a again. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.1.0. | |||||

| CVE-2026-64371 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-08 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: proc: protect ptrace_may_access() with exec_update_lock (part 1) Fix the easy cases where procfs currently calls ptrace_may_access() without exec_update_lock protection, where the fix is to simply add the extra lock or use mm_access(): - do_task_stat(): grab exec_update_lock - proc_pid_wchan(): grab exec_update_lock - proc_map_files_lookup(): use mm_access() instead of get_task_mm() - proc_map_files_readdir(): use mm_access() instead of get_task_mm() - proc_ns_get_link(): grab exec_update_lock - proc_ns_readlink(): grab exec_update_lock | |||||
| CVE-2026-64375 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-08 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: proc: protect ptrace_may_access() with exec_update_lock (FD links) proc_pid_get_link() and proc_pid_readlink() currently look up the task from the pid once, then do the ptrace access check on that task, then look up the task from the pid a second time to do the actual access. That's racy in several ways. To fix it, pass the task to the ->proc_get_link() handler, and instead of proc_fd_access_allowed(), introduce a new helper call_proc_get_link() that looks up and locks the task, does the access check, and calls ->proc_get_link(). | |||||
| CVE-2026-64379 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-08 | N/A | 7.1 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: mask server-provided mode to 07777 in modefromsid When modefromsid is active, parse_dacl() applies the server-provided sub_auth[2] value from the NFS mode SID to cf_mode without masking to 07777. Apply the correct masking, same as in the read path. | |||||
| CVE-2026-64380 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-08 | N/A | 8.2 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: harden POSIX SID length parsing posix_info_sid_size() reads sid[1] to obtain the subauthority count, but its existing boundary check still accepts buffers with only one remaining byte. Require two bytes before reading sid[1] so all client paths that reuse the helper reject truncated POSIX SIDs safely. | |||||
| CVE-2026-64425 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-08 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: io_uring/io-wq: re-check IO_WQ_BIT_EXIT for each linked work item commit 10dc95939817 ("io_uring/io-wq: check IO_WQ_BIT_EXIT inside work run loop") fixed the obvious case where io_worker_handle_work() took one exit-bit snapshot before draining pending work, but the fix stops one level too early. io_worker_handle_work() now re-checks IO_WQ_BIT_EXIT in its outer work run loop, yet it still snapshots that bit once before processing a whole dependent linked-work chain. If io_wq_exit_start() sets IO_WQ_BIT_EXIT after the first linked item has started, the remaining linked items can still reuse stale do_kill = false, skip IO_WQ_WORK_CANCEL, and continue running after exit has begun. Move the check further inside, so it covers linked items too. Note: this is a syzbot special as it loves setting up tons of slow linked work on weird devices like msr that take forever to read, and immediately close the ring. Exit then takes a long time. | |||||
| CVE-2026-53295 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-08 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mailbox: add sanity check for channel array Fail gracefully if there is no channel array attached to the mailbox controller. Otherwise the later dereference will cause an OOPS which might not be seen because mailbox controllers might instantiate very early. Remove the comment explaining the obvious while here. | |||||
| CVE-2026-53269 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-08 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: synproxy: add mutex to guard hook reference counting As the synproxy infrastructure register netfilter hooks on-demand when a user adds the first iptables target or nftables expression, if done concurrently they can race each other. Introduce a mutex to serialize the refcount control blocks access from both frontends. While a per namespace mutex might be more efficient, it is not needed for target/expression like SYNPROXY. | |||||
| CVE-2026-53249 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-08 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv4: restrict IPOPT_SSRR and IPOPT_LSRR options This patch restricts setting Loose Source and Record Route (LSRR) and Strict Source and Record Route (SSRR) IP options to users with CAP_NET_RAW capability. This prevents unprivileged applications from forcing packets to route through attacker-controlled nodes to leak TCP ISN and possibly other protocol information. While LSRR and SSRR are commonly filtered in many network environments, they may still be supported and forwarded along some network paths. RFC 7126 (Recommendations on Filtering of IPv4 Packets Containing IPv4 Options) recommend to drop these options in 4.3 and 4.4. | |||||
| CVE-2026-53236 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-08 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: restrict SO_ATTACH_FILTER to priv users This patch restricts the use of SO_ATTACH_FILTER (cBPF) on TCP sockets to users with CAP_NET_ADMIN capability. This blocks potential side-channel attack where an unprivileged application attaches a filter to leak TCP sequence/acknowledgment numbers. | |||||
| CVE-2026-53223 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-08 | N/A | 7.1 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: guard timestamp cmsgs to real error queue skbs skb_is_err_queue() treats PACKET_OUTGOING as the sole marker for an skb from sk_error_queue. That assumption is not true for AF_PACKET sockets: outgoing packet taps are also delivered to packet sockets with skb->pkt_type == PACKET_OUTGOING, but their skb->cb is owned by AF_PACKET instead of struct sock_exterr_skb. If such an skb is received with timestamping enabled, the generic timestamp cmsg path can read AF_PACKET control-buffer state as sock_exterr_skb::opt_stats. With SO_RXQ_OVFL enabled, the packet drop counter overlaps opt_stats. An odd drop count makes the path emit SCM_TIMESTAMPING_OPT_STATS with skb->len and skb->data. For non-linear skbs this copies past the linear head and can trigger hardened usercopy or disclose adjacent heap contents. Keep skb_is_err_queue() local to net/socket.c, but make it verify that the PACKET_OUTGOING marker is paired with the sock_rmem_free destructor installed by sock_queue_err_skb(). AF_PACKET receive skbs use normal receive ownership and no longer pass as error-queue skbs, while legitimate sk_error_queue entries keep the PACKET_OUTGOING marker and sock_rmem_free ownership. | |||||
| CVE-2026-53219 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-08 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: x_tables: avoid leaking percpu counter pointers The native and compat get-entries paths copy the fixed rule entry header from the kernelized rule blob to userspace before overwriting the entry's counter fields with a sanitized counter snapshot. On SMP kernels, entry->counters.pcnt contains the percpu allocation address used by x_tables rule counters. A caller can provide a userspace buffer that faults during the initial fixed-header copy after pcnt has been copied but before the later sanitized counter copy runs. The syscall then returns -EFAULT while leaving the raw percpu pointer in userspace. Copy only the fixed entry prefix before counters from the kernelized rule blob, then copy the sanitized counter snapshot into the counter field. Apply this ordering to the IPv4, IPv6, and ARP native and compat get-entries implementations so a fault cannot expose the internal percpu counter pointer. | |||||
| CVE-2026-53001 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-08 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: xtables: restrict several matches to inet family This is a partial revert of: commit ab4f21e6fb1c ("netfilter: xtables: use NFPROTO_UNSPEC in more extensions") to allow ipv4 and ipv6 only. - xt_mac - xt_owner - xt_physdev These extensions are not used by ebtables in userspace. Moreover, xt_realm is only for ipv4, since dst->tclassid is ipv4 specific. | |||||
| CVE-2026-52970 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-08 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nft_ct: fix missing expect put in obj eval nft_ct_expect_obj_eval() allocates an expectation and may call nf_ct_expect_related(), but never drops its local reference. Add nf_ct_expect_put(exp) before return to balance allocation. | |||||
