Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in ash-project ash_authentication_oauth2_server allows an attacker who controls a client metadata URL and its DNS to make the server connect to internal or loopback addresses. public_ip?/1 in AshAuthentication.Oauth2Server.CIMD.ReqFetcher enforces the outbound policy for CIMD metadata fetches. It classified several address forms as publicly routable that are not: IPv4-compatible ::/96 (for example ::127.0.0.1), SIIT IPv4-translated ::ffff:0:0:0/96, and deprecated site-local fec0::/10. A returned AAAA record in one of these ranges passed the policy, so a fetch pinned to that address reached space the policy was meant to block. This issue affects ash_authentication_oauth2_server: from 0.3.0 before 0.3.1.

In Eclipse Che versions 7.79.0 through 7.121.0, the dashboard backend's POST /dashboard/api/data/resolver endpoint passes a caller-supplied URL directly to an outbound HTTP GET request with no host filtering. An authenticated user can exploit this server-side request forgery (SSRF) to read responses from internal network addresses, including the cloud instance metadata service (169.254.169.254), loopback interfaces, RFC-1918 private ranges, and in-cluster Kubernetes services. The operator-configured allowlist (spec.devEnvironments.allowedSources.urls) is not consulted. The vulnerability is fixed in version 7.122.0, which adds private-address blocking, IPv4-mapped IPv6 bypass prevention, operator allowlist enforcement, and disables HTTP redirects on the outbound request.

PlaywrightCapture contains a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in its favicon retrieval functionality. When only_global_lookup is enabled, the application validates the initial favicon URL to prevent requests to localhost, loopback, or other non-public network addresses. However, redirects followed by aiohttp were not subjected to the same validation. An attacker able to influence the content of a page processed by PlaywrightCapture could specify a publicly reachable favicon URL that responds with an HTTP redirect to a local or otherwise restricted address, such as 127.0.0.1, localhost, or an internal network service. Because aiohttp automatically followed the redirect, the resulting request could bypass the application's local-address restrictions and cause the PlaywrightCapture host to issue HTTP requests to resources that should not be externally reachable. Depending on the services reachable from the PlaywrightCapture host and how retrieved favicon data is subsequently exposed or processed, this could be used to probe internal HTTP services or potentially obtain information from otherwise inaccessible endpoints. The patch introduces an aiohttp request middleware that applies the existing local-URL validation to every request in the redirect chain. Requests resolving to restricted/local destinations are rejected before they are issued.
