The ShareOpenly WordPress plugin prior to version 1.2.1 contains a Cross-Site Scripting vulnerability caused by the absence of WordPress's `esc_url()` escaping function on the `$url` variable before it is rendered into HTML content. This variable is constructed from `home_url( add_query_arg( array(), $wp->request ) )` and is concatenated directly into an HTML `href` attribute on every singular post or page where the plugin's sharing link is displayed. WordPress's security handbook mandates that every URL placed in HTML output must be passed through `esc_url()`, which both HTML-encodes special characters (converting `"`, `<`, `>` into their safe HTML entity equivalents) and strips dangerous URI schemes such as `javascript:` and `data:`. The omission of this function means that if the `$url` value ever contains HTML-special characters or a dangerous URI scheme — through a `home_url` WordPress filter applied by another plugin or theme, through certain web server or hosting configurations, or through future code changes — the unescaped content will be injected verbatim into the rendered HTML of every post or page on the site. Version 1.2.1 contains a patch for the issue.

jsoup is a Java library for working with real-world HTML. From 1.14.3 until 1.23.1, jsoup's HTML parser could incorrectly handle a malformed tag name ending in a control character, causing the tag to acquire the parsing behavior of a different element. When a custom Safelist permits certain raw-text elements, this misparsing can cause content that should remain inert text to be emitted as active markup after serialization, potentially resulting in cross-site scripting. jsoup's built-in Safelists are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 1.23.1.

league/commonmark is a PHP library for parsing and rendering CommonMark Markdown. From 1.5.0 until 2.9.0, the AttributesExtension's href and src unsafe-link filter can be bypassed by embedding control bytes, such as a tab, carriage return, line feed, or leading C0 control character, in a javascript: URL that browsers discard before parsing the scheme, causing the browser to still execute the script even when the unsafe-link filter is enabled. This issue is fixed in 2.9.0.

AdonisJS HTTP Server is a package for handling HTTP requests in the AdonisJS framework. In versions 8.0.0-next.0 through 8.2.0 and 9.0.0 through 9.0.2, the error.message is interpolated into the default HTML exception response without escaping, allowing a crafted missing-route URL to execute attacker-controlled JavaScript when a victim opens it and no custom status page or JSON response handles the error. When debug mode is disabled and no custom status page handles the error, the default HTML renderer interpolates error.message directly into an HTML response. This issue is fixed in versions 8.2.1 and 9.1.0.

Angular is a development platform for building mobile and desktop web applications using TypeScript/JavaScript and other languages. Prior to 20.3.30, 21.2.22, and 22.1.4, Angular server-side rendering (SSR) in @angular/platform-server serializes untrusted input inside template content nested in fallback raw-content elements such as noscript, iframe, noembed, and noframes. The Domino serializer's fallbackRawContentTags traversal stopped at the DocumentFragment used by template.content, so matching closing tags in xmp, style, script, comments, or text nodes were not escaped. Standard interpolation with comments or text nodes is reachable without relaxed schemas; literal xmp or style requires CUSTOM_ELEMENTS_SCHEMA or NO_ERRORS_SCHEMA, while Renderer2 imperative DOM construction is unconditionally affected. When HTML5 RAWTEXT browser parsing encounters the unescaped closing tag, it exits the fallback container and interprets trailing markup as active DOM elements, enabling arbitrary JavaScript execution. This issue is fixed in versions 20.3.30, 21.2.22, and 22.1.4.

AnythingLLM is an application that turns pieces of content into context that any LLM can use as references during chatting. In 1.16.1 and earlier, the manager role can store meta_page_title or meta_page_favicon through /api/admin/system-preferences, and MetaGenerator inserts those values into production homepage HTML without escaping attribute values or text content. The values pass unchanged through server/models/systemSettings.js and reach MetaGenerator.generate() in server/index.js. #assembleMeta() in server/utils/boot/MetaGenerator.js concatenates the stored values into HTML. When an administrator visits the homepage /, injected JavaScript can read the administrator JWT and use it to create API keys, access or modify workspace and chat data, delete users, and perform other administrator actions. server/endpoints/admin.js accepts the manager-controlled settings before server/models/systemSettings.js returns them unchanged. No fixed version is available as of this review.

MISP contains a reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the event attribute filtering query builder. The taggedAttributes and galaxyAttachedAttributes URL parameters were inserted into the query-builder rules without HTML escaping before being serialized as JSON and embedded inside a <script> element. Because JsonTool::encode() uses JSON_UNESCAPED_SLASHES, an attacker-controlled value containing a closing </script> sequence could terminate the surrounding script element and inject arbitrary HTML or JavaScript. For example, a specially crafted viewEventAttributes URL could contain malicious content in one of the affected filter parameters. An attacker could exploit the vulnerability by convincing an authenticated MISP user to follow a crafted URL. Successful exploitation would execute attacker-controlled JavaScript in the security context of the MISP instance and with the privileges of the victim's authenticated browser session. This could allow access to information available to the victim, modification of data through authenticated requests, or other actions permitted by the victim's MISP permissions. The vulnerability is addressed by applying HTML escaping with h() to both scalar and array values before they are inserted into the DOM.

A persistent unsafe URL injection vulnerability exists in the MISP dashboard ButtonWidget configuration. Dashboard widget URLs were validated only when the widget was rendered and were not validated when the configuration was saved. As a result, an authenticated user able to modify dashboard widget settings could persist arbitrary URL values, including URLs using the javascript: scheme, through either of the dashboard settings persistence paths. A malicious javascript: URL stored in a dashboard button could potentially result in client-side script execution in the MISP security context if the value reached a rendering or navigation path without the existing runtime validation. Such execution could allow an attacker to perform actions with the privileges of the affected user or access information available to their MISP session. The practical exploitability of this issue is reduced by the fact that MISP already applied URL validation at render time, which neutralized known malicious values before they were presented to the user. The vulnerability therefore represents a persistence-layer validation gap and a defense-in-depth weakness rather than evidence of a direct bypass of the existing rendering protection. The patch introduces a canonical url schema type and validates dashboard widget configuration before it is persisted through either settings save mechanism. ButtonWidget URLs must now be strings resolving to an absolute path on the current MISP instance or a full URL with the same origin. Values using javascript:, external origins, malformed URL forms, and non-string values are rejected at save time.

Version 0.410000, the fix for CVE-2026-19872, escaped the equivalent values in the other layouts and wrappers, and 0.410002 extended that to these three. Error messages that contain attacker-influenced content such as rejected field values could embed JavaScript in rendered pages.

Any application whose option list is built from data rather than literals, using options_from, an options_fieldname method, or the DBIC model, allows attacker-influenced text in a label that can override the options or embed JavaScript in rendered pages.

The Easy Google Fonts plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the control_selectors meta field in all versions up to, and including, 2.0.4. This is due to the plugin registering the control_selectors meta field with show_in_rest enabled but without a sanitize_callback, and subsequently outputting this unsanitized data directly into <style> tags on the frontend without proper escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Author-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

HTML::FormHandler versions before 0.410000 for Perl allow cross-site scripting via a submitted value rendered unescaped in an error message. The wrappers and renderers that emit a form's errors interpolate the error string straight into HTML with no escaping. Two of the library's own messages, no_match and not_allowed, splice the submitted value into that string, and a failing type constraint puts the rejected value into the message it builds, which _apply_actions hands to add_error. A field declared with a check regexp, a check list or a type constraint reaches those messages, with no custom validator and no non-default configuration. Errors rendered through an application's own escaping template layer rather than the library's rendering roles are not affected. A request over the network that submits markup to such a field gets it back live inside the error span, running script in the victim's origin. Re-rendering a rejected value later gives the stored variant.

MISP contains an HTML injection vulnerability in the MISPElementHTMLFormatterTool component, which is responsible for rendering MISP element references (attributes, objects, and tags) into inline HTML during PDF report export via the convert_markdown_to_pdf module. The attribute(), objectAttribute(), object(), and tag() methods interpolated user-controlled fields (attribute type, attribute value, object name, object relation, tag name, tag colour, and tag text colour) directly into HTML templates without applying HTML entity encoding. An authenticated user with the ability to create or modify MISP attributes, objects, or tags could embed arbitrary HTML markup in these fields. When a report containing such elements was exported to PDF, the unescaped content was rendered as live HTML rather than inert text, potentially injecting script tags, breaking the document structure, or altering the visual content of the exported report. Additionally, the attribute() method contained a template with hardcoded sample values ("domain-ip" and "google.com") instead of format placeholders, meaning every plain attribute reference in a PDF displayed the sample text rather than the actual indicator value, constituting a data-integrity defect in the exported document. The vulnerability requires an authenticated actor with write access to MISP elements and a subsequent PDF export of a report referencing those elements. The security impact is primarily to the integrity of the exported document and, depending on the HTML-to-PDF rendering engine, potential execution of injected markup during the conversion step.
