CVE-2026-77120 2026-09-09 N/A N/A
CWE-78: Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an OS Command ('OS Command Injection') vulnerability exists that could cause privilege escalation to root and unauthorized execution of administrative functions when an authenticated user with SSH enabled interacts with the operating system console that improperly processes user-controlled input.
CVE-2026-53542 2026-09-09 N/A 8.8 HIGH
Termix is a web-based server management platform with SSH terminal, tunneling, and file editing capabilities. Prior to 2.3.2, the archive creation endpoint in src/backend/ssh/file-manager.ts passes selected file basenames to tar without an end-of-options marker and without making the operands unambiguously relative. A user with access to an SSH file-manager session can select basenames beginning with GNU tar options such as --checkpoint=1 and --checkpoint-action=exec, causing tar, tar.gz, tar.bz2, or tar.xz creation to interpret those names as options. The resulting checkpoint action executes commands on the managed SSH host with the privileges of the connected SSH account, allowing file disclosure, modification, and service disruption. This issue is fixed in version 2.3.2.
CVE-2026-53545 2026-09-09 N/A 9.8 CRITICAL
Termix is a web-based server management platform with SSH terminal, tunneling, and file editing capabilities. Prior to 2.3.2, the DELETE /ssh/tunnel/disconnect/:tunnelName teardown path in src/backend/ssh/tunnel.ts interpolates endpointPort, sourcePort, endpointUsername, and endpointIP into single-quoted pkill -f patterns. An authenticated user who can edit a tunnel host field can include a single quote to terminate the pattern and append a shell command, which executes when the tunnel is disconnected. Successful exploitation runs arbitrary commands on the source SSH host with the privileges of the connected SSH account. This issue is fixed in version 2.3.2.
CVE-2026-68560 2026-09-09 N/A N/A
Wekan is open source kanban built with Meteor. Prior to 9.75, models/fileValidation.js interpolated the uploaded fileObj.path into the administrator-configured externalCommandLine at its {file} placeholder and executed the result through asyncExec, which is promisify(exec) and invokes `/bin/sh -c`. On deployments with an external scanner configured, an authenticated user able to upload an attachment could place shell metacharacters such as command substitutions in the filename and execute commands as the Wekan server process. Version 9.75 adds shellQuote() and passes the file path as a POSIX single-quoted argument so shell metacharacters cannot escape the placeholder. This issue is fixed in version 9.75.
CVE-2026-49255 2026-09-09 N/A 8.8 HIGH
electerm is an open-sourced terminal/ssh/sftp/telnet/serialport/RDP/VNC/Spice/ftp client. Prior to 3.11.11, electerm constructs operating system commands in src/app/lib/fs.js by interpolating untrusted file paths into the rmrf(), mv(), and cp() functions. A malicious SSH or SFTP server can provide a filename containing quote characters and shell metacharacters, and a victim can cause that filename to reach the affected operation during remote-to-local transfer, conflict renaming, copying, moving, or removal. The generated `rm -rf`, mv, `cp -r`, PowerShell Remove-Item, Move-Item, or Copy-Item command can then interpret the filename as shell syntax. This allows arbitrary command execution with the electerm desktop user's privileges on POSIX and Windows systems, enabling data exfiltration, file modification, malware installation, or denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 3.11.11.
CVE-2026-55426 2026-09-09 N/A 7.8 HIGH
linuxfabrik-lib provides Python modules for database access, caching, shell execution, and API integrations, and Linuxfabrik Monitoring Plugins uses those modules to run external monitoring commands. From the earliest affected releases until linuxfabrik-lib 5.0.0 and Linuxfabrik Monitoring Plugins 6.0.0, check plugins embedded user-controlled values in command strings passed to lib.shell.shell_exec(), which split strings at pipe characters and executed the resulting commands. In check-plugins/restic-check/restic-check, the --repo parameter could inject a pipe-delimited command into a constructed restic invocation, and sudo-authorized execution allowed a compromised nagios or icinga account to run that command as root. The shared library also accepted command strings and a shell parameter, while numerous plugins constructed external commands from attacker-influenced arguments. The fixes require argv lists, always use shell=False, remove pipe splitting, and reject option-like positional values through lib.shell.safe_cli_value(). These issues are fixed in linuxfabrik-lib 5.0.0 and Linuxfabrik Monitoring Plugins 6.0.0.
CVE-2026-52876 2026-09-09 N/A 8.8 HIGH
Streambert is a cross-platform Electron Desktop App to stream and download video content. Prior to version 2.6.0, the open-path-at-time IPC handler in src/ipc/player.js accepts a renderer-controlled filePath without validating its type or location. If the mpv or VLC launch attempts are skipped or fail, the handler passes filePath to Electron's shell.openPath. A compromised renderer can provide the path of a local executable, script, shortcut, or other file with an executing default handler, causing the operating system to launch it with the privileges of the StreamBERT process and enabling escape from the renderer sandbox. This issue is fixed in version 2.6.0.
CVE-2026-71858 2026-09-09 N/A N/A
Notepad++ is a free and open-source source code editor. Prior to 8.9.7, macros loaded from an attacker-controlled shortcuts.xml bypass the HMAC validation applied to UserDefinedCommands and can invoke Scintilla actions and the internal Open in Default Viewer command in an elevated Notepad++ process, allowing protected file modification and conditional elevated command execution when a local attacker influences settingsDir and a user triggers the macro. This issue is fixed in version 8.9.7.
CVE-2026-55378 2026-09-09 N/A N/A
JS Recon is a JavaScript enumeration and SAST tool. From 1.2.1-beta.1 until 1.3.1-beta.2, the PR Branch Checker workflow in .github/workflows/pr_checker.yml places github.head_ref and github.event.pull_request.head.repo.full_name into BRANCH_NAME and SOURCE_REPO and interpolates those untrusted values into a shell gh pr comment command. A remote user who opens a pull request can use shell metacharacters in a branch or fork name to execute commands in the GitHub Actions runner with the workflow's GITHUB_TOKEN, which has pull-requests write permission. This issue is fixed in version 1.3.1-beta.2.
CVE-2026-53611 2026-09-09 N/A 9.8 CRITICAL
Looking Glass is a modern, stateless network-diagnostic platform — a single self-contained Go binary that fronts a fleet of routers over SSH and exposes ping / traceroute / BGP lookups through a gRPC (ConnectRPC) API, an embedded SvelteKit web UI, and a lg-cli client. Prior to version 1.3.5, there is an OS Command Injection vulnerability resulting from an unanchored regular expression in the input validation layer. This issue has been patched in version 1.3.5.
CVE-2026-55673 2026-09-09 N/A N/A
PowSyBl (Power System Blocks) is a framework to build power system oriented software. Prior to 7.2.2, UnixLocalCommandExecutor and WindowsLocalCommandExecutor concatenate command arguments and environment variables into strings interpreted through bash -c or cmd /c without sufficient escaping. Attacker-controlled values reaching UnixLocalCommandExecutor.execute, WindowsLocalCommandExecutor.execute, LocalComputationManager.execute, ParallelLoadFlowActionSimulator.run, ActionSimulatorTool.run, AmplModelRunner.run, or AmplModelRunner.runAsync can break out of the intended command and execute arbitrary shell commands as the JVM user. The affected itools paths include action-simulator with task-count, security-analysis with external, and dynamic-security-analysis. Downstream CLI tools, libraries, REST front ends, and multi-tenant grid-analysis services that forward less-trusted contingency identifiers or computation parameters into these APIs can expose the injection remotely. This issue is fixed in version 7.2.2.
CVE-2026-84361 2026-09-09 N/A N/A
Composer is a dependency Manager for the PHP language. From 1.0 until 2.2.30 and 2.10.3, a malicious dependency package from a custom Composer repository or an untrusted composer.lock file could set source.type to perforce and source.url to an rsh: or jsh: P4PORT value. When the Perforce p4 client was installed and Composer installed the package from source through composer install or composer update, including --prefer-source, Composer\Util\Perforce passed the address to p4 without validation, causing p4 to run a local command with the privileges of the user or CI account. Packagist.org does not permit Perforce source metadata. This issue is fixed in versions 2.2.30 and 2.10.3.
CVE-2026-57499 2026-09-09 N/A 9.1 CRITICAL
Liman is open source server management software. Prior to 2.2.2 - 1103, an OS command injection vulnerability in the log rotation configuration endpoint allows an authenticated administrator to execute arbitrary operating system commands on the Liman server. The `ip_address` parameter is embedded directly into a shell command without sanitization, enabling shell escape via single-quote injection. This is fixed in 2.2.2 - 1103.
CVE-2026-55582 2026-09-09 N/A 8.4 HIGH
mcp-shell is an MCP server for running shell commands securely, auditably, and on demand. Prior to 0.6.0, the default security.yaml allows /usr/bin/git, while security.go omits ! from containsShellMetacharacters and containsDangerousShellConstructs and applies no per-executable argument policy. A caller of the shell_exec MCP tool can provide the command argument /usr/bin/git -c alias.pwn=!<arbitrary-command>, causing Git to create a shell alias and execute arbitrary OS commands as the mcp-shell process user. The default Docker image runs as mcpuser with Git installed and secure mode enabled, so the bypass is exploitable in the default deployment without additional authentication beyond MCP connectivity. This issue is fixed in version 0.6.0.
CVE-2026-45018 2026-09-09 N/A 9.8 CRITICAL
Chainlit is a Python framework for building production-ready conversational AI applications. From 2.4.0rc0 until 2.12.0, Chainlit deployments with features.mcp.enabled set to true in .chainlit/config.toml expose the POST /mcp endpoint without requiring authentication. For stdio transport, the endpoint accepts a user-controlled fullCommand string. The validate_mcp_command() function in backend/chainlit/mcp.py checks only the executable name against config.features.mcp.stdio.allowed_executables and passes unchecked arguments to StdioServerParameters in backend/chainlit/server.py. Because npx supports the -c argument, an attacker can execute arbitrary shell commands with the privileges of the Chainlit process. If allowed_executables is unset, its None default is treated as allowing every executable. This issue is fixed in version 2.12.0.
CVE-2026-55581 2026-09-09 N/A 8.4 HIGH
mcp-shell is an MCP server for running shell commands securely, auditably, and on demand. Prior to 0.6.0, the default Docker security.yaml includes /bin/bash in allowed_executables, while security.go validates only the first token and checkBlockedPatternsAndCommands does not reject the shell command-mode flag -c. A caller of the shell_exec MCP tool can provide the command argument `/bin/bash -c <arbitrary-command>`, which passes validation and reaches executor.go, where parseCommand and exec.CommandContext execute the arbitrary command as mcpuser outside the intended allowlist. This issue is fixed in version 0.6.0.
CVE-2026-55580 2026-09-09 N/A N/A
mcp-shell is an MCP server for running shell commands securely, auditably, and on demand. Prior to 0.6.0, config.go initializes Security.Enabled to false, and when MCP_SHELL_SEC_CONFIG_FILE is unset, main.go starts the documented bare-binary deployment without a security policy. SecurityValidator.validateCommand in security.go then short-circuits and allows every command supplied to the shell_exec MCP tool, so an LLM connected over stdio can execute unrestricted OS commands as the mcp-shell process user. The README from-source installation and MCP client configuration omit MCP_SHELL_SEC_CONFIG_FILE, making the insecure state the documented default. This issue is fixed in version 0.6.0.
CVE-2026-52831 2026-09-09 N/A 8.0 HIGH
Nuclio is a "Serverless" framework for Real-Time Events and Data Processing. Prior to version 1.16.4, the Nuclio controller builds a curl invocation string for each cron trigger and stores it as the args of a Kubernetes CronJob container (/bin/sh, -c, <command>). Two fields in the trigger specification flow into this string without adequate sanitization: event.headers keys and event.body. This issue has been patched in version 1.16.4.
CVE-2026-79756 2026-09-09 N/A N/A
Nuclio is a "Serverless" framework for Real-Time Events and Data Processing. Prior to version 1.17.4, the fix for unauthenticated OS command injection in the nuclio dashboard on the local/Docker platform is incomplete. The fix added validateFunctionName for function names and common.Quote() for the named-resource shell command path, but the list-all resource path (triggered when no specific resource name is provided) still interpolates the resourceNamespace parameter unquoted into a /bin/sh -c command string. An unauthenticated attacker can inject shell metacharacters via the X-Nuclio-Function-Namespace, X-Nuclio-Project-Namespace, or X-Nuclio-Function-Event-Namespace HTTP headers to achieve arbitrary command execution inside the dashboard container. This issue has been patched in version 1.17.4.
CVE-2026-79755 2026-09-09 N/A 8.0 HIGH
Nuclio is a "Serverless" framework for Real-Time Events and Data Processing. Prior to version 1.17.4, on the Nuclio local Docker platform, the function namespace is interpolated—unvalidated—into a double-quoted docker ps --filter "label=nuclio.io/namespace=<value>" command that is executed via the host shell (/bin/sh -c). Because the default auth kind is nop (unauthenticated), a remote attacker can inject arbitrary OS commands that run as root inside the dashboard container, which holds the Docker socket → host compromise. This issue has been patched in version 1.17.4.
