| VOCALOID6 Editor provided by Yamaha Corporation improperly restricts XML external entity references. Loading a specially crafted project file may the product to initiate unintended communication, potentially leading to the leak of sensitive information from the device where the product is installed or resulting in a denial-of-service (DoS) condition. | |||||
| CVE-2026-109430 | 2026-10-20 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH | ||
| Ellucian WebAdvisor 3.2 contains an unauthenticated XML External Entity (XXE) injection vulnerability that allows remote attackers to submit crafted XML POST requests to the /WebAdvisor/WebAdvisor endpoint without disabling external entity and DTD resolution. Attackers can exploit this flaw to force the server into SSRF requests, coerce NTLMv2 hash disclosure via attacker-controlled SMB shares, and read arbitrary files from the underlying Windows host through an out-of-band error-based channel. WebAdvisor entered end-of-support status in June 2022 and users are encouraged to migrate to Colleague Self-Service. | |||||
| CVE-2026-88901 | 2026-10-19 | N/A | 8.2 HIGH | ||
| Improper Restriction of XML External Entity Reference vulnerability in Apache Camel. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.7.0 before 4.18.5, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.1. Improper Restriction of XML External Entity Reference in the Smooks component (camel-smooks) in Apache Camel allows an attacker who supplies the XML message body to read local files or issue requests to internal network locations via an external entity declaration in that body. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.7.0 before 4.18.5, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.1. The Smooks data format (.unmarshal().smooks(...)) and the Smooks component (smooks:) parse the incoming XML body with the reader Smooks resolves by default, which is the Woodstox SAX parser. That reader resolves external general and parameter entities and loads external DTDs, and camel-smooks applied none of the parser hardening that the other Camel XML components apply. A DOCTYPE with an external subset, or an external general entity, declared in the XML document is therefore resolved and expanded while the body is unmarshalled, and the resolved content is bound into the unmarshalled result and returned on InOut routes. An external sender whose XML reaches a camel-smooks data format or endpoint could therefore read files readable by the Camel process and cause the process to issue requests to hosts the document names. No non-default option is required, since resolving external entities was the default behaviour. Configurations that declare their own reader - EDI, CSV, JSON, or a custom reader - do not use the XML reader and are not affected. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 4.18.5, 4.22.1 or 4.23.0, which fixes the issue. Upgrade to Apache Camel 4.23.0, which fixes the issue. Users on the 4.18.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.18.5. Users on the 4.22.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.22.1. camel-smooks now parses the XML body with a javax.xml.parsers.DocumentBuilder that does not resolve external general or parameter entities and does not load external DTDs, and hands Smooks the resulting document, matching the secure XML processing configuration used by org.apache.camel.converter.jaxp.XmlConverter and the other Camel XML components. This hardening is applied only when the Smooks configuration parses XML with its default reader, so EDI, CSV, JSON and custom-reader configurations, and the marshalling direction, are unchanged. A new allowExternalEntities option, disabled by default, restores the previous behaviour for trusted legacy configurations that rely on external entity resolution. The camel-4.14.x releases stream and earlier reached end of life before this issue was resolved and will not receive a fix, so deployments on those lines must move to a supported release. For deployments that cannot upgrade immediately, do not apply camel-smooks to XML received from untrusted senders. | |||||
| CVE-2026-85250 | 2026-10-19 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH | ||
| Improper Restriction of XML External Entity Reference vulnerability in Apache Camel XPath component. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.0.0 before 4.18.5, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.1. With documentType set to InputSource, XPathBuilder handed the payload straight to javax.xml.xpath, which builds a DocumentBuilder of its own using the JDK defaults. The hardening applied to Camel's default document type was therefore bypassed: a DOCTYPE declaration that is refused on the default type was accepted here, and the external entity it declared was resolved and expanded into the evaluated document. An external sender whose XML reaches such an expression could read files readable by the Camel process and cause the process to issue requests to hosts it names. The two document types disagreeing on parser configuration is what made this reachable, since a deployment choosing InputSource for streaming reasons had no indication it was also choosing a weaker parser. Upgrade to Apache Camel 4.23.0, which fixes the issue. Users on the 4.18.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.18.5. Users on the 4.22.x LTS releases stream should upgrade to 4.22.1. The InputSource document type now goes through the same hardened parser as the default type, so a DOCTYPE is refused. Note that it also shares that type's documented escape hatch: the same DocumentBuilderFactory system properties that relax the default type relax this one, so a deployment that has set them remains unprotected by design. For deployments that cannot upgrade immediately, do not use documentType=InputSource on expressions evaluated over untrusted XML; the default document type already refuses a DOCTYPE. | |||||
| CVE-2026-91858 | 2026-10-19 | N/A | 6.5 MEDIUM | ||
| FopProducer transforms the incoming XSL-FO message body by creating a javax.xml.transform.TransformerFactory through TransformerFactory.newInstance() and enabling only FEATURE_SECURE_PROCESSING before running an identity transform over the body. On the JDK's built-in transformer, that feature alone already empties the accessExternalDTD and accessExternalStylesheet limits, so an external DTD or entity is refused. When a third-party JAXP TransformerFactory such as Saxon-HE is on the classpath, for example because the application also uses camel-xslt-saxon or camel-saxon, TransformerFactory.newInstance() returns that implementation instead, and FEATURE_SECURE_PROCESSING on its own does not restrict external resource access on it. A DOCTYPE with an external subset, or an external general entity, declared in the XSL-FO document is then resolved and expanded while the body is transformed. An external sender whose XSL-FO reaches a fop producer could therefore read files readable by the Camel process and cause the process to issue requests to hosts the document names. camel-fop does not bring such a factory itself, and excludes Xalan, so a default deployment using the JDK transformer is not affected; the issue is reachable only where another component has placed an alternative JAXP TransformerFactory on the classpath. Releases on the 4.14.x line and earlier reached end of life before this issue was resolved and do not receive a fix. | |||||
| CVE-2025-6985 | 2026-10-19 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH | ||
| The HTMLSectionSplitter class in langchain-text-splitters version 0.3.8 is vulnerable to XML External Entity (XXE) attacks due to unsafe XSLT parsing. This vulnerability arises because the class allows the use of arbitrary XSLT stylesheets, which are parsed using lxml.etree.parse() and lxml.etree.XSLT() without any hardening measures. In lxml versions up to 4.9.x, external entities are resolved by default, allowing attackers to read arbitrary local files or perform outbound HTTP(S) fetches. In lxml versions 5.0 and above, while entity expansion is disabled, the XSLT document() function can still read any URI unless XSLTAccessControl is applied. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to gain read-only access to any file the LangChain process can reach, including sensitive files such as SSH keys, environment files, source code, or cloud metadata. No authentication, special privileges, or user interaction are required, and the issue is exploitable in default deployments that enable custom XSLT. | |||||
| CVE-2025-66370 | 2026-10-19 | N/A | 5.0 MEDIUM | ||
| Kivitendo before 3.9.2 allows XXE injection. By uploading an electronic invoice in the ZUGFeRD format, it is possible to read and exfiltrate files from the server's filesystem. | |||||
| CVE-2025-20369 | 1 Splunk | 2 Splunk, Splunk Cloud Platform | 2026-10-18 | N/A | 4.6 MEDIUM |
| In Splunk Enterprise versions below 9.4.4, 9.3.6, and 9.2.8, and Splunk Cloud Platform versions below 9.3.2411.108, 9.3.2408.118 and 9.2.2406.123, a low privilege user that does not hold the "admin" or "power" Splunk roles could perform an extensible markup language (XML) external entity (XXE) injection through the dashboard tab label field. The XXE injection has the potential to cause denial of service (DoS) attacks. | |||||
| CVE-2025-12531 | 1 Ibm | 1 Infosphere Information Server | 2026-10-18 | N/A | 7.1 HIGH |
| IBM InfoSphere Information Server 11.7.0.0 through 11.7.1.6 is vulnerable to an XML external entity injection (XXE) attack when processing XML data. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to expose sensitive information or consume memory resources. | |||||
| CVE-2025-58360 | 1 Geoserver | 1 Geoserver | 2026-10-18 | N/A | 8.2 HIGH |
| GeoServer is an open source server that allows users to share and edit geospatial data. From version 2.26.0 to before 2.26.2 and before 2.25.6, an XML External Entity (XXE) vulnerability was identified. The application accepts XML input through a specific endpoint /geoserver/wms operation GetMap. However, this input is not sufficiently sanitized or restricted, allowing an attacker to define external entities within the XML request. This issue has been patched in GeoServer 2.25.6, GeoServer 2.26.3, and GeoServer 2.27.0. | |||||
| CVE-2026-54640 | 2026-10-16 | N/A | 7.6 HIGH | ||
| OpenRemote is an open-source internet-of-things platform. Prior to 1.24.2, the KNXProtocol.startAssetImport method in agent/src/main/java/org/openremote/agent/protocol/knx/KNXProtocol.java processes 0.xml from an authenticated user's uploaded ETS project ZIP with Saxon TransformerFactoryImpl and XMLInputFactory parsers that permit external entity resolution. This incomplete remediation of CVE-2026-40882 leaves the KNX handler unprotected while the parallel Velbus handler is hardened, allowing a regular realm user to read files accessible to the JVM process or cause server-side requests. This issue is fixed in version 1.24.2. | |||||
| CVE-2026-92877 | 2026-10-16 | N/A | N/A | ||
| The JAXB factory methods historically relied solely on `FEATURE_SECURE_PROCESSING` to prevent XML External Entity (XXE) resolution. On JAXP implementations where that feature alone does not block external entity resolution, an attacker who can get untrusted XML unmarshalled through JAXB can read local files via out-of-band XXE. | |||||
| CVE-2026-85957 | 2026-10-16 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH | ||
| Affected Progress MarkLogic Server 11.x releases before 11.3.7 use a SAML parser configuration that can process external DTDs or entities, which could result in unintended network access or information disclosure. | |||||
| CVE-2026-106616 | 1 Adobe | 1 Coldfusion | 2026-10-16 | N/A | 8.6 HIGH |
| ColdFusion is affected by an Improper Restriction of XML External Entity Reference ('XXE') vulnerability that could lead to arbitrary file system read. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to access sensitive files and directories outside the intended access scope. Exploitation of this issue does not require user interaction. Scope is changed. | |||||
| CVE-2026-88794 | 2026-10-16 | N/A | N/A | ||
| Enterprise Architect is vulnerable to XML External Entity (XXE) injection in the XSLT Debugger feature. When a user loadsĀ a crafted XML file containing a `DOCTYPE` with an external DTD reference, the parser processes external entities, allowing an attacker to read arbitrary files from the victim's filesystem. Because vendor contact attempts were unsuccessful, the vulnerability has only been confirmed in version 17.1 but may also affect other versions. | |||||
| CVE-2026-85970 | 2026-10-15 | N/A | 7.1 HIGH | ||
| Progress MarkLogic Server 12.x releases before 12.1.0 and 11.x releases before 11.3.7 enable XML external entity processing by default in multiple server paths, which could allow crafted XML to cause server-side requests or disclosure of local files. | |||||
| CVE-2018-14720 | 4 Debian, Fasterxml, Oracle and 1 more | 12 Debian Linux, Jackson-databind, Banking Platform and 9 more | 2026-10-15 | 7.5 HIGH | 9.8 CRITICAL |
| FasterXML jackson-databind 2.x before 2.9.7 might allow attackers to conduct external XML entity (XXE) attacks by leveraging failure to block unspecified JDK classes from polymorphic deserialization. | |||||
| CVE-2026-14905 | 1 Ibm | 1 Datapower Gateway | 2026-10-15 | N/A | 8.2 HIGH |
| IBM DataPower Gateway 10.5.0.0 through 10.5.0.22, 10.6.1 through 10.6.6, 10.6.0.0 through 10.6.0.10, and 11.0.0.0 through 11.0.0.2 is vulnerable to an XML external entity injection (XXE) attack when processing XML data. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to expose sensitive information or consume memory resources. | |||||
