| CVE-2026-53089 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-02 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix use-after-free in offloaded map/prog info fill When querying info for an offloaded BPF map or program, bpf_map_offload_info_fill_ns() and bpf_prog_offload_info_fill_ns() obtain the network namespace with get_net(dev_net(offmap->netdev)). However, the associated netdev's netns may be racing with teardown during netns destruction. If the netns refcount has already reached 0, get_net() performs a refcount_t increment on 0, triggering: refcount_t: addition on 0; use-after-free. Although rtnl_lock and bpf_devs_lock ensure the netdev pointer remains valid, they cannot prevent the netns refcount from reaching zero. Fix this by using maybe_get_net() instead of get_net(). maybe_get_net() uses refcount_inc_not_zero() and returns NULL if the refcount is already zero, which causes ns_get_path_cb() to fail and the caller to return -ENOENT -- the correct behavior when the netns is being destroyed. | |||||
| CVE-2026-43437 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-09-02 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: pcm: fix use-after-free on linked stream runtime in snd_pcm_drain() In the drain loop, the local variable 'runtime' is reassigned to a linked stream's runtime (runtime = s->runtime at line 2157). After releasing the stream lock at line 2169, the code accesses runtime->no_period_wakeup, runtime->rate, and runtime->buffer_size (lines 2170-2178) — all referencing the linked stream's runtime without any lock or refcount protecting its lifetime. A concurrent close() on the linked stream's fd triggers snd_pcm_release_substream() → snd_pcm_drop() → pcm_release_private() → snd_pcm_unlink() → snd_pcm_detach_substream() → kfree(runtime). No synchronization prevents kfree(runtime) from completing while the drain path dereferences the stale pointer. Fix by caching the needed runtime fields (no_period_wakeup, rate, buffer_size) into local variables while still holding the stream lock, and using the cached values after the lock is released. | |||||

| CVE-2026-59850 | 2 Libssh, Redhat | 3 Libssh, Enterprise Linux, Hardened Images | 2026-09-01 | N/A | 4.3 MEDIUM |
| A flaw was found in libssh. If data packets are processed after a channel is closed, channel data callbacks can be invoked after the associated data has already been freed, leading to crashes or possible use-after-free conditions. | |||||
| CVE-2026-49418 | 1 Freebsd | 1 Freebsd | 2026-09-01 | N/A | 8.8 HIGH |
| When msync(MS_INVALIDATE) is called on a mapping of an unmanaged device object, the physical pages in the mapping range are marked invalid but remain in the pager's page list. A subsequent page fault will cause the fault handler to re-insert the page into the object's list. This corrupts the list, and on object destruction the page is freed twice. An unprivileged local user with access to a device that provides memory-mapped I/O can trigger a use-after-free in the kernel, though this is limited to a pool of objects ("fictitious pages") that are never recycled for a different purpose. It may be possible to exploit this to escalate privileges. | |||||
| CVE-2026-49422 | 1 Freebsd | 1 Freebsd | 2026-09-01 | N/A | 8.4 HIGH |
| The RACK setsockopt(2) handler drops the connection lock in order to copy option data from userspace, then reacquires the lock. After reacquiring, it verifies that the TCP stack had not been switched away, but did not reload its pointer to the stack's per-connection control block. If userspace switches stacks twice during this window, the check will succeed but the saved pointer will refer to freed memory. The bug may be exploitable by an unprivileged local user to escalate privileges. | |||||
| CVE-2022-4696 | 2 Linux, Netapp | 11 Linux Kernel, H300s, H300s Firmware and 8 more | 2026-09-01 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| There exists a use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel through io_uring and the IORING_OP_SPLICE operation. If IORING_OP_SPLICE is missing the IO_WQ_WORK_FILES flag, which signals that the operation won't use current->nsproxy, so its reference counter is not increased. This assumption is not always true as calling io_splice on specific files will call the get_uts function which will use current->nsproxy leading to invalidly decreasing its reference counter later causing the use-after-free vulnerability. We recommend upgrading to version 5.10.160 or above | |||||
| CVE-2026-14366 | 2026-09-01 | N/A | 6.4 MEDIUM | ||
| The Silicon Labs SiWx917 WiFi driver's transmit callback siwx91x_send() in drivers/wifi/siwx91x/siwx91x_wifi.c frees a network packet it does not own. In the Zephyr TX path the net_pkt is owned by the L2/networking stack; the driver only borrows it to copy the frame bytes into a local net_buf. Before the fix, after transmitting, siwx91x_send() additionally called net_pkt_unref(pkt) on the caller-owned packet, dropping its last reference and returning it to the shared packet pool prematurely. This code path is compiled in by default (CONFIG_WIFI_SILABS_SIWX91X_NET_STACK_NATIVE). The caller, ethernet_send() in subsys/net/l2/ethernet/ethernet.c, keeps using the packet after the driver returns: it reads net_pkt_get_len(pkt), updates TX statistics, and then performs its own net_pkt_unref(pkt). Because the driver already released the packet, these are use-after-free reads followed by a second unref (a double free). When concurrent network activity recycles the freed slab slot between the two unrefs, the trailing unref decrements a different, live packet's reference count and frees it, corrupting the net_pkt pool shared by both the receive and transmit paths. The defect is exercised by ordinary transmission over the native-stack SiWx917 WiFi interface, and an adjacent attacker on the same WiFi network can induce transmissions (for example ARP or ICMP echo replies, or TCP handshakes) to drive the path. The primary observable impact is loss of availability (transmit hangs and crashes from pool corruption), with race-dependent memory corruption of the kernel networking buffer pool. The fix removes the erroneous net_pkt_unref(pkt) from siwx91x_send(); the driver's receive-path unref, which correctly frees a packet the driver itself allocated, is unaffected. | |||||
| CVE-2026-24099 | 1 Intel | 18 Killer Wi-fi 6 Ax1650i\/s, Killer Wi-fi 6e Ax1675i\/s, Killer Wi-fi 6e Ax1675x\/w and 15 more | 2026-09-01 | N/A | 5.1 MEDIUM |
| Use after free for some Intel(R) PROSet/Wireless WiFi Software for Windows within Ring 0: Kernel may allow a denial of service. System software adversary with an unauthenticated user combined with a high complexity attack may enable denial of service. This result may potentially occur via local access when attack requirements are present without special internal knowledge and requires no user interaction. The potential vulnerability may impact the confidentiality (none), integrity (none) and availability (high) of the vulnerable system, resulting in subsequent system confidentiality (none), integrity (none) and availability (none) impacts. | |||||
| CVE-2026-19548 | 1 Redhat | 3 Enterprise Linux, Hardened Images, Openshift Container Platform | 2026-09-01 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM |
| Multiple Use-After-Free vulnerabilities were found in the add_archive_element function in ld/ldmain.c of the GNU linker (ld), a component of binutils. The root cause is that plugin_maybe_claim() in ld/plugin.c frees the original BFD object via bfd_close/_bfd_delete_bfd when entry->the_bfd->my_archive == NULL, but the caller retains both the original abfd parameter and a shallow copy (orig_input.the_bfd) as dangling pointers. These dangling pointers are subsequently dereferenced at three distinct locations in add_archive_element: 1. Line ~1442: accessing abfd->my_archive via bfd_usrdata(abfd->my_archive) 2. Line ~1493: multiple accesses to abfd and abfd->my_archive in a conditional check and bfd_get_filename call 3. Line ~1525: dereferencing the shallow copy orig_input.the_bfd->my_archive in trace/verbose logging The vulnerability is triggered when LTO plugins are active (link_info.lto_plugin_active is true) and the input object has abfd->my_archive == NULL, which is a valid state for standalone object files. Red Hat builds binutils with --enable-plugins and --enable-lto, confirming the vulnerable code path is compiled in and reachable. An attacker who can supply a crafted object or archive file to a build process using LTO-enabled linking could exploit this flaw to cause a denial of service (linker crash via segmentation fault). Arbitrary code execution is theoretically possible through heap manipulation but is substantially mitigated by hardening measures including stack protector, FORTIFY_SOURCE, ASLR, and PIE. The attack surface is limited to build-time environments — the linker is a development tool not exposed in production runtime. The most realistic exploitation scenario is a supply chain attack introducing a crafted object file as a build dependency in CI/CD pipelines or development environments. | |||||
| CVE-2025-4878 | 2026-09-01 | N/A | 3.6 LOW | ||
| A vulnerability was found in libssh, where an uninitialized variable exists under certain conditions in the privatekey_from_file() function. This flaw can be triggered if the file specified by the filename doesn't exist and may lead to possible signing failures or heap corruption. | |||||
| CVE-2025-61662 | 1 Gnu | 1 Grub2 | 2026-09-01 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| A Use-After-Free vulnerability has been discovered in GRUB's gettext module. This flaw stems from a programming error where the gettext command remains registered in memory after its module is unloaded. An attacker can exploit this condition by invoking the orphaned command, causing the application to access a memory location that is no longer valid. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause grub to crash, leading to a Denial of Service. Possible data integrity or confidentiality compromise is not discarded. | |||||
| CVE-2026-11368 | 1 Zephyrproject | 1 Zephyr | 2026-09-01 | N/A | 7.1 HIGH |
| The Bluetooth host ATT layer (subsys/bluetooth/host/att.c) associates each in-flight ATT TX buffer with its owning channel via the static tx_meta_data_storage[] array (data->att_chan = chan). When a buffer's last reference is dropped, its net-buf destroy callback defers the completion handling to the system workqueue (att_tx_destroy -> att_tx_destroy_work_handler -> att_on_sent_cb -> bt_att_sent), where bt_att_sent dereferences the channel and its ATT context (sys_slist_get(&att->reqs)). When a peer disconnects while an ATT PDU (a server notification/indication or any response) is still in flight in the controller TX path, L2CAP tears the channel down in l2cap_chan_del(): it runs the disconnected callback and then the released callback (bt_att_released), which frees the channel slab slot. Because the in-flight buffer is held by the connection TX path rather than the channel's own queue, its deferred destroy work can run after the channel has been freed. The att_on_sent_cb guard intended to drop the stale callback itself dereferences meta->att_chan, which is now a dangling pointer into a freed (and possibly reused) slab slot. A remote peer with an ATT connection can drive this by disconnecting during routine ATT traffic; no pairing or user interaction is required to reach the ATT bearer. The result is a use-after-free read/write of freed channel memory, reliably crashing the Bluetooth host (denial of service) and, because the channel slab slot may be reused, potentially corrupting live memory. The fix makes bt_att_released() NULL the att_chan field of every tx_meta_data_storage[] entry still referencing the channel before freeing it, so the deferred guard observes a NULL pointer and drops the callback. Teardown and the destroy work both run on the cooperative system workqueue, so the array update is serialized and needs no lock. | |||||
| CVE-2026-10685 | 1 Zephyrproject | 1 Zephyr | 2026-09-01 | N/A | 7.6 HIGH |
| The Zephyr Bluetooth GATT client CCC-write response handler gatt_write_ccc_rsp() in subsys/bluetooth/host/gatt.c invoked the application's params->subscribe() callback after it had already called params->notify(conn, params, NULL, 0). Per the public GATT API, a notify callback with NULL data is the documented signal that the subscription has terminated and the bt_gatt_subscribe_params struct may be freed or reused by the application; calling subscribe() on the struct afterwards is a use-after-free, including an indirect call through the freed params->subscribe function pointer. The error branch is remotely (adjacent) reachable: a Zephyr device acting as a GATT client that calls bt_gatt_subscribe() can be driven into this ordering when a connected GATT server peer answers the CCC write with an ATT Error Response (the peer-supplied error code flows through att_error_rsp -> att_handle_rsp into gatt_write_ccc_rsp). For applications that free or recycle subscription parameters in their notification-termination handler, this results in memory corruption, a crash (denial of service), or potentially attacker-influenced control flow. The fix reorders the handler so the subscribe() callback runs before the terminating notify(NULL) in both the error and unsubscribe paths. | |||||
