CVE-2024-36954 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-06-17 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tipc: fix a possible memleak in tipc_buf_append __skb_linearize() doesn't free the skb when it fails, so move '*buf = NULL' after __skb_linearize(), so that the skb can be freed on the err path.
CVE-2024-36947 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-17 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: qibfs: fix dentry leak simple_recursive_removal() drops the pinning references to all positives in subtree. For the cases when its argument has been kept alive by the pinning alone that's exactly the right thing to do, but here the argument comes from dcache lookup, that needs to be balanced by explicit dput(). Fucked-up-by: Al Viro <viro@zeniv.linux.org.uk>
CVE-2024-36946 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-06-17 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: phonet: fix rtm_phonet_notify() skb allocation fill_route() stores three components in the skb: - struct rtmsg - RTA_DST (u8) - RTA_OIF (u32) Therefore, rtm_phonet_notify() should use NLMSG_ALIGN(sizeof(struct rtmsg)) + nla_total_size(1) + nla_total_size(4)
CVE-2024-35978 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-17 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: Fix memory leak in hci_req_sync_complete() In 'hci_req_sync_complete()', always free the previous sync request state before assigning reference to a new one.
CVE-2024-35972 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-17 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bnxt_en: Fix possible memory leak in bnxt_rdma_aux_device_init() If ulp = kzalloc() fails, the allocated edev will leak because it is not properly assigned and the cleanup path will not be able to free it. Fix it by assigning it properly immediately after allocation.
CVE-2024-35956 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-17 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: qgroup: fix qgroup prealloc rsv leak in subvolume operations Create subvolume, create snapshot and delete subvolume all use btrfs_subvolume_reserve_metadata() to reserve metadata for the changes done to the parent subvolume's fs tree, which cannot be mediated in the normal way via start_transaction. When quota groups (squota or qgroups) are enabled, this reserves qgroup metadata of type PREALLOC. Once the operation is associated to a transaction, we convert PREALLOC to PERTRANS, which gets cleared in bulk at the end of the transaction. However, the error paths of these three operations were not implementing this lifecycle correctly. They unconditionally converted the PREALLOC to PERTRANS in a generic cleanup step regardless of errors or whether the operation was fully associated to a transaction or not. This resulted in error paths occasionally converting this rsv to PERTRANS without calling record_root_in_trans successfully, which meant that unless that root got recorded in the transaction by some other thread, the end of the transaction would not free that root's PERTRANS, leaking it. Ultimately, this resulted in hitting a WARN in CONFIG_BTRFS_DEBUG builds at unmount for the leaked reservation. The fix is to ensure that every qgroup PREALLOC reservation observes the following properties: 1. any failure before record_root_in_trans is called successfully results in freeing the PREALLOC reservation. 2. after record_root_in_trans, we convert to PERTRANS, and now the transaction owns freeing the reservation. This patch enforces those properties on the three operations. Without it, generic/269 with squotas enabled at mkfs time would fail in ~5-10 runs on my system. With this patch, it ran successfully 1000 times in a row.
CVE-2024-35930 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-06-17 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: lpfc: Fix possible memory leak in lpfc_rcv_padisc() The call to lpfc_sli4_resume_rpi() in lpfc_rcv_padisc() may return an unsuccessful status. In such cases, the elsiocb is not issued, the completion is not called, and thus the elsiocb resource is leaked. Check return value after calling lpfc_sli4_resume_rpi() and conditionally release the elsiocb resource.
CVE-2024-35926 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-17 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: iaa - Fix async_disable descriptor leak The disable_async paths of iaa_compress/decompress() don't free idxd descriptors in the async_disable case. Currently this only happens in the testcases where req->dst is set to null. Add a test to free them in those paths.
CVE-2024-35912 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-17 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: rfi: fix potential response leaks If the rx payload length check fails, or if kmemdup() fails, we still need to free the command response. Fix that.
CVE-2024-35908 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-17 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tls: get psock ref after taking rxlock to avoid leak At the start of tls_sw_recvmsg, we take a reference on the psock, and then call tls_rx_reader_lock. If that fails, we return directly without releasing the reference. Instead of adding a new label, just take the reference after locking has succeeded, since we don't need it before.
CVE-2024-35877 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-06-17 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/mm/pat: fix VM_PAT handling in COW mappings PAT handling won't do the right thing in COW mappings: the first PTE (or, in fact, all PTEs) can be replaced during write faults to point at anon folios. Reliably recovering the correct PFN and cachemode using follow_phys() from PTEs will not work in COW mappings. Using follow_phys(), we might just get the address+protection of the anon folio (which is very wrong), or fail on swap/nonswap entries, failing follow_phys() and triggering a WARN_ON_ONCE() in untrack_pfn() and track_pfn_copy(), not properly calling free_pfn_range(). In free_pfn_range(), we either wouldn't call memtype_free() or would call it with the wrong range, possibly leaking memory. To fix that, let's update follow_phys() to refuse returning anon folios, and fallback to using the stored PFN inside vma->vm_pgoff for COW mappings if we run into that. We will now properly handle untrack_pfn() with COW mappings, where we don't need the cachemode. We'll have to fail fork()->track_pfn_copy() if the first page was replaced by an anon folio, though: we'd have to store the cachemode in the VMA to make this work, likely growing the VMA size. For now, lets keep it simple and let track_pfn_copy() just fail in that case: it would have failed in the past with swap/nonswap entries already, and it would have done the wrong thing with anon folios. Simple reproducer to trigger the WARN_ON_ONCE() in untrack_pfn(): <--- C reproducer ---> #include <stdio.h> #include <sys/mman.h> #include <unistd.h> #include <liburing.h> int main(void) { struct io_uring_params p = {}; int ring_fd; size_t size; char *map; ring_fd = io_uring_setup(1, &p); if (ring_fd < 0) { perror("io_uring_setup"); return 1; } size = p.sq_off.array + p.sq_entries * sizeof(unsigned); /* Map the submission queue ring MAP_PRIVATE */ map = mmap(0, size, PROT_READ | PROT_WRITE, MAP_PRIVATE, ring_fd, IORING_OFF_SQ_RING); if (map == MAP_FAILED) { perror("mmap"); return 1; } /* We have at least one page. CVE-2024-35853 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-06-17 N/A 6.4 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mlxsw: spectrum_acl_tcam: Fix memory leak during rehash The rehash delayed work migrates filters from one region to another. This is done by iterating over all chunks (all the filters with the same priority) in the region and in each chunk iterating over all the filters. If the migration fails, the code tries to migrate the filters back to the old region. However, the rollback itself can also fail in which case another migration will be erroneously performed. Besides the fact that this ping pong is not a very good idea, it also creates a problem. Each virtual chunk references two chunks: The currently used one ('vchunk->chunk') and a backup ('vchunk->chunk2'). During migration the first holds the chunk we want to migrate filters to and the second holds the chunk we are migrating filters from. The code currently assumes - but does not verify - that the backup chunk does not exist (NULL) if the currently used chunk does not reference the target region. This assumption breaks when we are trying to rollback a rollback, resulting in the backup chunk being overwritten and leaked [1]. Fix by not rolling back a failed rollback and add a warning to avoid future cases. CVE-2024-35852 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-06-17 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mlxsw: spectrum_acl_tcam: Fix memory leak when canceling rehash work The rehash delayed work is rescheduled with a delay if the number of credits at end of the work is not negative as supposedly it means that the migration ended. Otherwise, it is rescheduled immediately. After "mlxsw: spectrum_acl_tcam: Fix possible use-after-free during rehash" the above is no longer accurate as a non-negative number of credits is no longer indicative of the migration being done. It can also happen if the work encountered an error in which case the migration will resume the next time the work is scheduled. The significance of the above is that it is possible for the work to be pending and associated with hints that were allocated when the migration started. This leads to the hints being leaked [1] when the work is canceled while pending as part of ACL region dismantle. Fix by freeing the hints if hints are associated with a work that was canceled while pending. Blame the original commit since the reliance on not having a pending work associated with hints is fragile.
