CVE-2026-118765 2026-10-30 N/A N/A
Botan is a C++ cryptography library. From 3.7.0 until 3.13.0, an application that calls AutoSeeded_RNG::clear() and then calls randomize with an empty output buffer while the generator is unseeded can cause AutoSeeded_RNG to mark itself seeded without consulting the configured entropy source. On builds without BOTAN_HAS_SYSTEM_RNG, the fallback uses only a clock value and process ID, so a later non-empty request can produce output from predictable state. This issue is fixed in version 3.13.0.
CVE-2026-41564 1 Dcit 1 Cryptx 2026-10-26 N/A 7.5 HIGH
CryptX versions before 0.088 for Perl do not reseed the Crypt::PK PRNG state after forking. The Crypt::PK::RSA, Crypt::PK::DSA, Crypt::PK::DH, Crypt::PK::ECC, Crypt::PK::Ed25519 and Crypt::PK::X25519 modules seed a per-object PRNG state in their constructors and reuse it without fork detection. A Crypt::PK::* object created before `fork()` shares byte-identical PRNG state with every child process, and any randomized operation they perform can produce identical output, including key generation. Two ECDSA or DSA signatures from different processes are enough to recover the signing private key through nonce-reuse key recovery. This affects preforking services such as the Starman web server, where a Crypt::PK::* object loaded at startup is inherited by every worker process.
CVE-2026-11702 2026-10-25 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Bytes::Random::Secure::Tiny versions through 1.011 for Perl share internal state across forked processes. When an object is initialised before forking, then the internal state for the PRNG is shared across processes and identical random streams will be produced. Secrets generated in multiprocess applications are predictable across processes.
CVE-2026-11625 2026-10-25 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Bytes::Random::Secure versions through 0.29 for Perl share internal state across forked processes. When an object is initialised before forking, or when the functional interface is used, then the internal state for the PRNG is shared across processes and identical random streams will be produced. Secrets generated in multiprocess applications are predictable across processes.
CVE-2026-11730 2026-10-19 N/A 5.4 MEDIUM
Insufficient session randomness vulnerability in the listed NETGEAR Extender models allows a network-adjacent attacker having network access (such as WiFi credentials) to predict valid session identifiers and hijack an authenticated administrator session on the web management portal.
CVE-2025-52578 2026-10-18 N/A 5.7 MEDIUM
Incorrect Usage of Seeds in Pseudo-Random Number Generator (CWE- 335) vulnerability in the High Sec ELM may allow a sophisticated attacker with physical access, to compromise internal device communications. This issue affects Command Centre Server: 9.30 prior to vCR9.30.251028a (distributed in 9.30.2881 (MR3)), 9.20 prior to vCR9.20.251028a (distributed in 9.20.3265 (MR5)), 9.10 prior to vCR9.10.251028a (distributed in 9.10.4135 (MR8)), all versions of 9.00 and prior.
CVE-2018-14647 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more 8 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 5 more 2026-10-07 5.0 MEDIUM 7.5 HIGH
Python's elementtree C accelerator failed to initialise Expat's hash salt during initialization. This could make it easy to conduct denial of service attacks against Expat by constructing an XML document that would cause pathological hash collisions in Expat's internal data structures, consuming large amounts CPU and RAM. The vulnerability exists in Python versions 3.7.0, 3.6.0 through 3.6.6, 3.5.0 through 3.5.6, 3.4.0 through 3.4.9, 2.7.0 through 2.7.15.
CVE-2026-3503 1 Wolfssl 1 Wolfssl 2026-06-17 N/A 5.2 MEDIUM
Protection mechanism failure in wolfCrypt post-quantum implementations (ML-KEM and ML-DSA) in wolfSSL on ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers allows a physical attacker to compromise key material and/or cryptographic outcomes via induced transient faults that corrupt or redirect seed/pointer values during Keccak-based expansion. This issue affects wolfSSL (wolfCrypt): commit hash d86575c766e6e67ef93545fa69c04d6eb49400c6.
CVE-2026-25835 2 Arm, Trustedfirmware 3 Mbed Tls, Mbed Tls, Tf-psa-crypto 2026-06-17 N/A 7.7 HIGH
Mbed TLS before 3.6.6 and TF-PSA-Crypto before 1.1.0 misuse seeds in a Pseudo-Random Number Generator (PRNG).
CVE-2025-27580 2026-06-17 N/A 7.5 HIGH
NIH BRICS (aka Biomedical Research Informatics Computing System) through 14.0.0-67 generates predictable tokens (that depend on username, time, and the fixed 7Dl9#dj- string) and thus allows unauthenticated users with a Common Access Card (CAC) to escalate privileges and compromise any account, including administrators.
CVE-2025-24783 1 Apache 1 Cocoon 2026-06-17 N/A 7.5 HIGH
** UNSUPPORTED WHEN ASSIGNED ** Incorrect Usage of Seeds in Pseudo-Random Number Generator (PRNG) vulnerability in Apache Cocoon. This issue affects Apache Cocoon: all versions. When a continuation is created, it gets a random identifier. Because the random number generator used to generate these identifiers was seeded with the startup time, it may not have been sufficiently unpredictable, and an attacker could use this to guess continuation ids and look up continuations they should not have had access to. As a mitigation, you may enable the "session-bound-continuations" option to make sure continuations are not shared across sessions. As this project is retired, we do not plan to release a version that fixes this issue. Users are recommended to find an alternative or restrict access to the instance to trusted users. NOTE: This vulnerability only affects products that are no longer supported by the maintainer.
CVE-2024-9312 1 Canonical 1 Authd 2026-06-17 N/A 7.5 HIGH
Authd, through version 0.3.6, did not sufficiently randomize user IDs to prevent collisions. A local attacker who can register user names could spoof another user's ID and gain their privileges.
CVE-2024-7558 1 Canonical 1 Juju 2026-06-17 N/A 8.7 HIGH
JUJU_CONTEXT_ID is a predictable authentication secret. On a Juju machine (non-Kubernetes) or Juju charm container (on Kubernetes), an unprivileged user in the same network namespace can connect to an abstract domain socket and guess the JUJU_CONTEXT_ID value. This gives the unprivileged user access to the same information and tools as the Juju charm.
CVE-2024-55566 2026-06-17 N/A 6.6 MEDIUM
ColPack 1.0.10 through 9a7293a has a predictable temporary file (located under /tmp with a name derived from an unseeded RNG). The impact can be overwriting files or making ColPack graphing unavailable to other users.
CVE-2024-36048 2 Fedoraproject, Qt 2 Fedora, Qt 2026-06-17 N/A 9.8 CRITICAL
QAbstractOAuth in Qt Network Authorization in Qt before 5.15.17, 6.x before 6.2.13, 6.3.x through 6.5.x before 6.5.6, and 6.6.x through 6.7.x before 6.7.1 uses only the time to seed the PRNG, which may result in guessable values.
CVE-2024-27632 1 Gnu 1 Savane 2026-06-17 N/A 8.8 HIGH
An issue in GNU Savane v.3.12 and before allows a remote attacker to escalate privileges via the form_id in the form_header() function.
CVE-2024-1579 2026-06-17 N/A 8.1 HIGH
Incorrect Usage of Seeds in Pseudo-Random Number Generator (PRNG) vulnerability in Secomea GateManager (Webserver modules) allows Session Hijacking. This issue affects GateManager: before 11.2.624071020.
CVE-2024-10026 1 Google 1 Gvisor 2026-06-17 N/A 5.3 MEDIUM
A weak hashing algorithm and small sizes of seeds/secrets in Google's gVisor allowed for a remote attacker to calculate a local IP address and a per-boot identifier that could aid in tracking of a device in certain circumstances.
CVE-2023-4472 1 Objectplanet 1 Opinio 2026-06-17 N/A 9.8 CRITICAL
Objectplanet Opinio version 7.22 and prior uses a cryptographically weak pseudo-random number generator (PRNG) coupled to a predictable seed, which could lead to an unauthenticated account takeover of any user on the application.
CVE-2023-49343 1 Ubuntubudgie 1 Budgie Extras 2026-06-17 N/A 6.0 MEDIUM
Temporary data passed between application components by Budgie Extras Dropby applet could potentially be viewed or manipulated. The data is stored in a location that is accessible to any user who has local access to the system. Attackers may pre-create and control this file to present false information to users or deny access to the application and panel.
