| MariaDB Connector/Node.js is used to connect applications developed on Node.js to MariaDB and MySQL databases. Prior to 3.2.4, 3.3.3, 3.4.6, and 3.5.3, MariaDB Connector/Node.js can disclose an account password when PAM dialog authentication is negotiated over an insecure transport. In lib/cmd/handshake/auth/pam-password-auth.js and lib/cmd/handshake/authentication.js, the SendPamAuthPacketFactory behavior for the server-side plugin dialog lacked the secure-transport gate applied to mysql_clear_password. With the default sslMode=DISABLE and restrictedAuth=null settings, a hostile or on-path server can send an Authentication Switch Request for dialog over plain TCP, causing the connector to return the account password in cleartext. Properly verified TLS and a local Unix socket prevent this path, while fingerprint-only server identity validation is not sufficient. This issue is fixed in versions 3.2.4, 3.3.3, 3.4.6, and 3.5.3. | |||||

| A vulnerability exists in the Dynamic DNS (DDNS) functionality of TP-Link Omada Gateways. During communication with a third-party DDNS service, authentication credentials are transmitted over an unencrypted channel. An attacker who can observe or manipulate traffic between an affected device and the DDNS service may obtain sensitive authentication information or interfere with DDNS update operations. Exploitation requires DDNS to be configured, communication with an external DDNS service, and attacker visibility or control of the relevant network path. Successful exploitation may result in disclosure of DDNS account credentials, unauthorized access to DDNS management functionality, or modification of DNS records associated with the affected deployment. | |||||

| PagerDuty alarm hook transmits the integration routing key over cleartext HTTP. PagerDuty serves this endpoint over HTTPS and will normally answer plain HTTP with a redirect. That does not remove the exposure. The initial POST -- including the JSON body containing the routing key -- is written to the socket unencrypted before any redirect response is received. Redirection affects only whether the request is retried securely, not whether the first copy left the host in the clear. This issue affects Apache SkyWalking: from 9.6.0 through 11.0.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 11.0.0, which fixes the issue. | |||||

| The HTTPPasswordMgr class in the urllib.request module, along with its subclasses HTTPPasswordMgrWithDefaultRealm and HTTPPasswordMgrWithPriorAuth, did not take the URL scheme into account when matching stored credentials against a requested URL. Credentials added for an https:// URL were also used for requests to the same host over http://, so an attacker able to redirect or downgrade a client to plain HTTP (for example, via an HTTPS-to-HTTP redirect or an on-path position) could capture credentials in cleartext. Credentials added for http:// URLs could likewise be sent over https://. Credential matching is now scoped by URL scheme. Credentials registered with a URL that includes a scheme are only used for requests with the same scheme. Credentials registered with a bare authority (such as example.com or example.com:8080) continue to match any scheme, preserving compatibility with existing code, including proxy authentication. Users who cannot upgrade immediately can mitigate by ensuring that applications never make plain http:// requests to hosts for which credentials are registered, for example by not following redirects to http:// URLs. | |||||
