CVE-2026-42012 2026-09-01 N/A 7.1 HIGH
A flaw was found in gnutls. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by presenting a specially crafted certificate that contains Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) or Service (SRV) Subject Alternative Names (SANs). This could cause the certificate validation process to incorrectly fall back to checking DNS hostnames against the Common Name (CN), potentially allowing the attacker to spoof legitimate services or intercept sensitive information.
CVE-2025-32989 2 Gnu, Redhat 3 Gnutls, Enterprise Linux, Openshift Container Platform 2026-09-01 N/A 5.3 MEDIUM
A heap-buffer-overread vulnerability was found in GnuTLS in how it handles the Certificate Transparency (CT) Signed Certificate Timestamp (SCT) extension during X.509 certificate parsing. This flaw allows a malicious user to create a certificate containing a malformed SCT extension (OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.11129.2.4.2) that contains sensitive data. This issue leads to the exposure of confidential information when GnuTLS verifies certificates from certain websites when the certificate (SCT) is not checked correctly.
CVE-2026-57826 2026-08-31 N/A 6.8 MEDIUM
An issue was discovered in openHiTLS 0.2.0 through 0.3.2. In the X.509 certificate chain verification, the basic constraints extension and CA flag processing of intermediate CAs are only verified for v3 certificates, and v1/v2 certificates are ignored.
CVE-2026-66402 2026-08-31 N/A 9.8 CRITICAL
FreeRDP before 3.29.0 (affected versions <= 3.28.0) contains multiple TLS certificate identity validation weaknesses in tls_verify_certificate(), tls_match_hostname(), and x509_utils_get_dns_names(). Because FreeRDP performs custom Common Name and DNS SAN string matching instead of using OpenSSL's length-aware identity validation APIs, it (1) truncates DNS SAN values at embedded NUL bytes (accepting e.g. 'victim.example\0.attacker.example' as 'victim.example'), (2) accepts a matching Common Name even when non-matching DNS SAN entries are present, and (3) accepts IP-literal targets via DNS/CN matching without comparing iPAddress SANs. Under a trusted or misissued certificate chain, an attacker positioned to present such a certificate can bypass server identity verification, weakening TLS server authentication.
CVE-2026-67293 2026-08-31 N/A 4.2 MEDIUM
FreeRDP before 3.29.0 (affected versions <= 3.28.0) contains an improper certificate hostname validation vulnerability. The TLS hostname matcher (tls_match_hostname() in libfreerdp/crypto/tls.c) treats a wildcard pattern such as *.example.com as matching any hostname ending in .example.com, so it incorrectly accepts a wildcard certificate for multi-label subdomains like a.b.example.com (which OpenSSL's X509_check_host() rejects). This weakens TLS server authentication under wildcard-certificate conditions.
CVE-2026-18129 2026-08-31 N/A 8.1 HIGH
Cleartext transmission of sensitive information in the Core of Ivanti Endpoint Manager before version 2024 SU7 allows a remote unauthenticated attacker in a MITM position to leak credentials for external SQL connections.
CVE-2026-18679 2026-08-31 N/A N/A
When kuma-dp is started against an HTTPS control plane and the operator did not pass a CA certificate, the data plane connects with TLS peer verification disabled, and the dataplane authentication token is sent over that unverified connection. An on-path actor can intercept the dataplane authentication token and impersonate the control plane to the data plane, injecting a forged bootstrap configuration and taking over the proxy.
CVE-2026-18678 2026-08-31 N/A N/A
When an operator adds an HTTPS control plane profile to kumactl without providing a CA certificate, kumactl disables TLS verification and sends API tokens over the unverified connection. An attacker on the network path between the operator and the control plane can intercept user or admin API tokens and then act against the control plane as that user.
CVE-2026-18717 2026-08-31 N/A 7.4 HIGH
ASE2000 2.35 through 2.37 is vulnerable to an improper certificate validation vulnerability, which may allow an attacker to impersonate the trusted peer, complete the TLS handshake, and read or modify protected communications.
CVE-2025-6032 2026-08-31 N/A 8.3 HIGH
A flaw was found in Podman. The podman machine init command fails to verify the TLS certificate when downloading the VM images from an OCI registry. This issue results in a Man In The Middle attack.
CVE-2026-78323 2026-08-28 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
A flaw was found in JSS (Java Security Services). The JSSTrustManager class does not verify NSS trust flags when validating CA certificates, allowing certificates present in the NSS database without TRUSTED_CA flags to be accepted as trust anchors for TLS connections. In non-default configurations where certificate revocation checking is disabled, this could allow a man-in-the-middle attacker to forge certificates accepted by PKI client connections.
CVE-2026-74774 1 Dell 1 Powerprotect One 2026-08-28 N/A 5.9 MEDIUM
Dell PowerProtect One, versions 20.1.0.0 and below, contain an Improper Certificate Validation vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Protection mechanism bypass.
CVE-2026-66154 2026-08-28 N/A 8.3 HIGH
An insufficient certificate validation in a privileged communication workflow, was identified in a GMS application 9.5.1 (Build 9510.1044) and earlier versions which, under a successful MitM attack and controlled network conditions, could permit unauthorized changes.
CVE-2026-66404 2026-08-28 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
DEEBOT PRO M1 and DEEBOT PRO K1VAC do not validate server certificates in MQTT communications. Operation logs and activity logs stored on the affected products may be retrieved.
CVE-2026-66406 2026-08-28 N/A 4.8 MEDIUM
DEEBOT PRO M1 and DEEBOT PRO K1VAC use wget command with server certificate validation disabled. A man-in-the-middle attack may allow to obtain and/or alter communications of the affected products. As a result, arbitrary code may be executed with the administrative privilege.
CVE-2026-66410 2026-08-28 N/A 4.8 MEDIUM
Android and iOS apps ECOVACS PRO App improperly validate server certificates. Communication may be retrieved and/or altered.
CVE-2026-48437 1 Adobe 3 C2pa, C2pa-web, C2patool 2026-08-28 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
CAI Content Credentials is affected by an Improper Certificate Validation vulnerability that could result in a Security feature bypass. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to bypass security measures and gain unauthorized write access. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must visit a maliciously crafted URL or interact with a compromised web page.
CVE-2026-27221 3 Adobe, Apple, Microsoft 5 Acrobat, Acrobat Dc, Acrobat Reader Dc and 2 more 2026-08-28 N/A 5.5 MEDIUM
Acrobat Reader versions 24.001.30307, 24.001.30308, 25.001.21265 and earlier are affected by an Improper Certificate Validation vulnerability that could result in a Security feature bypass. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to spoof the identity of a signer. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction.
CVE-2026-44393 2026-08-27 N/A 7.4 HIGH
An issue was discovered in OpenStack oslo.messaging 1.0.0 through 17.3.0. The oslo.messaging RabbitMQ driver does not perform TLS hostname verification when connecting to the message broker. When ssl_ca_file is configured, the driver enables certificate chain validation but does not pass the expected broker hostname into the underlying TLS stack. Any certificate signed by the deployment CA is accepted regardless of hostname, allowing an attacker who can intercept control-plane traffic to impersonate the RabbitMQ broker and perform a man-in-the-middle attack on RPC and notification traffic. All OpenStack services using oslo.messaging with RabbitMQ over TLS are affected.
CVE-2026-81034 2026-08-26 N/A 6.5 MEDIUM
Netmaker disables certificate verification on the connection to the configured mail server. The sender in pro/email/smtp.go assigns a TLS configuration whose skip-verify field is set to true unconditionally, directly beneath a comment stating that the setting should be false in production. No configuration value governs it and no code path restores verification, so the client accepts any certificate the mail server presents, including one an interposing party supplies. Mail that Netmaker sends over that connection includes password-reset messages carrying single-use tokens and user invitations carrying enrolment links, so a party positioned on the path between the server and its mail relay can read those messages in transit and use a captured reset token before the intended recipient does. The setting is absent from the development branch but present in the latest release.
