| CVE-2026-100267 | 1 Jetbrains | 1 Youtrack | 2026-10-01 | N/A | 5.9 MEDIUM |
| In JetBrains YouTrack before 2026.2.19197 reDoS attack was possible via mailbox regex mail-rule filters | |||||
| CVE-2025-6051 | 1 Huggingface | 1 Transformers | 2026-09-30 | N/A | 5.3 MEDIUM |
| A Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) vulnerability was discovered in the Hugging Face Transformers library, specifically within the `normalize_numbers()` method of the `EnglishNormalizer` class. This vulnerability affects versions up to 4.52.4 and is fixed in version 4.53.0. The issue arises from the method's handling of numeric strings, which can be exploited using crafted input strings containing long sequences of digits, leading to excessive CPU consumption. This vulnerability impacts text-to-speech and number normalization tasks, potentially causing service disruption, resource exhaustion, and API vulnerabilities. | |||||
| CVE-2026-102990 | 2026-09-30 | N/A | N/A | ||
| basic-ftp is an FTP client for Node.js. Prior to 6.2.1, Client.list() can be forced by a malicious or compromised FTP server to spend quadratic CPU time parsing a directory listing because the RE_LINE expression in src/parseListUnix.ts backtracks across adjacent variable-length owner and group fields when a long Unix-style line has a valid prefix but cannot satisfy the later size and date fields. parseList() selects a parser from the last nonblank line and then applies it to every line, so a normal final line can select the Unix parser while an earlier crafted line blocks the Node.js event loop and freezes the process. This issue is fixed in version 6.2.1. | |||||
| CVE-2026-102473 | 2026-09-30 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM | ||
| A flaw was found in dash. When built without libc fnmatch, the internal pmatch() matcher implements * by unbounded recursion over candidate positions. A local user who can plant filenames, or otherwise feed that matcher, can make a short multi-star pattern such as *.*.*.*.*.tar.gz consume excessive CPU. | |||||
| CVE-2026-54461 | 2026-09-30 | N/A | 6.5 MEDIUM | ||
| Habitica is a habit tracker application that treats goals like a role-playing game. From 4.172.1 until 5.48.2, a query parameter on Habitica's /api/v3/groups/:groupId/members route is not sanitized before being interpreted as a regular expression. An authenticated caller can supply a computationally expensive regular expression that degrades application performance or halts Node.js processes. This issue is fixed in version 5.48.2. | |||||
| CVE-2026-57577 | 2026-09-30 | N/A | N/A | ||
| DotVVM is an open source MVVM framework for web applications. Prior to 4.2.11, 4.3.15, and 5.0.0-preview09-final, a route containing multiple unconstrained parameters in one path segment can cause excessive regular-expression backtracking in DotvvmRoute.IsMatch when a remote requester supplies a long near-match path. DotvvmRouteParser.RouteRegex previously had no matching timeout. Patched runtimes retry with the .NET non-backtracking engine, while runtimes that do not support non-backtracking matching return HTTP 503 after the one-second timeout in DotvvmRoutingMiddleware. This issue is fixed in versions 4.2.11, 4.3.15, and 5.0.0-preview09-final. | |||||
| CVE-2026-101903 | 2026-09-30 | N/A | N/A | ||
| Axios is a promise-based HTTP client for the browser and Node.js. From 1.16.1 until 1.20.0, the RFC 2397 regular expression allows slash characters on both sides of the media-type separator. An application passes an attacker-controlled malformed data URL containing many slash characters and no comma. the JavaScript regular-expression engine explores many separator placements before rejecting the URL. Synchronous excessive backtracking can block the Node.js event loop and cause denial of service. The affected identifiers are fromDataURI, DATA_URL_PATTERN, data:. This issue is fixed in version 1.20.0. | |||||
| CVE-2026-101906 | 2026-09-30 | N/A | N/A | ||
| Axios is a promise-based HTTP client for the browser and Node.js. From 1.15.0 until 1.20.0, Axios shouldBypassProxy applies a quadratic trailing-dot regular expression to redirect hostnames. HTTP_PROXY or HTTPS_PROXY is configured, NO_PROXY or no_proxy is non-empty, redirects are followed, and a crafted redirect Location contains many dots followed by a non-dot character. Hostname.replace(/.+$/, '') backtracks quadratically while processing the crafted redirect hostname. Synchronous regular-expression processing can block the Node.js event loop and cause denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 1.20.0. | |||||
| CVE-2026-77420 | 2026-09-30 | N/A | 5.5 MEDIUM | ||
| JLine is a Java library for handling console input. From 3.0.0 until 3.30.15 and 4.3.1, DefaultHistory.matchPatterns(String patterns, String line) in reader/src/main/java/org/jline/reader/impl/history/DefaultHistory.java converts the HISTORY_IGNORE configuration value into a Java regular expression while escaping only part of its syntax, allowing other regex metacharacters to reach the backtracking engine. An attacker who can control application or user configuration can supply a nested-quantifier expression that is reevaluated whenever a command is added to history, consuming excessive CPU and indefinitely blocking the reader thread. This issue is fixed in versions 3.30.15 and 4.3.1. | |||||
| CVE-2026-86000 | 2026-09-30 | N/A | 5.3 MEDIUM | ||
| Soup Sieve is a CSS selector library designed to be used with Beautiful Soup 4. Prior to 2.9, the selector parser in src/soupsieve/css_parser.py defines IDENTIFIER with adjacent quantified groups over overlapping character classes, and VALUE embeds IDENTIFIER for attribute selectors. When an attacker-controlled selector contains a long identifier or unquoted attribute-value run followed by input that makes the overall match fail, the regular expression engine explores quadratically many splits between the overlapping groups. User-controlled selectors can reach this path through soupsieve.compile(), soupsieve.select(), or BeautifulSoup.select(), while applications using only hard-coded selectors are unaffected. The resulting CPU consumption can hold the Python GIL, exhaust application workers, and stall a service; successful plain identifier matches are linear, and the issue does not cause memory corruption or code execution. The issue is fixed in version 2.9. | |||||
| CVE-2026-76821 | 2026-09-30 | N/A | N/A | ||
| OpenCTI is an open source platform for managing cyber threat intelligence knowledge and observables. Prior to 7.260706.0, the JSON ingestion mapper's extractWithRegexp formula function compiled a user-supplied regular expression with the JavaScript RegExp engine in opencti-platform/opencti-graphql/src/parser/json-mapper.ts without validating its complexity. An authenticated user with JSON mapper creation permission could provide a catastrophically backtracking pattern and matching ingestion input, blocking the Node.js event loop and making the GraphQL API unavailable to all users. Scheduled ingestion could repeatedly execute the malicious mapper without additional attacker action, and recovery could require disabling the mapper and restarting the process. The issue affects availability and does not expose or modify data. This issue is fixed in version 7.260706.0. | |||||
| CVE-2026-77422 | 2026-09-30 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH | ||
| JLine is a Java library for handling console input. From 3.0.0 until 3.30.15 and 4.3.1, the JLine built-in grep command in builtins/src/main/java/org/jline/builtins/PosixCommands.java accepts a user-controlled regular expression in grep(...) and, unless line-regexp mode is used, automatically adds a dot-star prefix and suffix before compiling it with Java's backtracking regular expression engine. The wrapping expands the backtracking search space, so a short nested-quantifier expression evaluated against non-matching input can consume excessive CPU and indefinitely block a command worker, including in remotely exposed shell sessions. This issue is fixed in versions 3.30.15 and 4.3.1. | |||||
| CVE-2026-77421 | 2026-09-30 | N/A | 6.5 MEDIUM | ||
| JLine is a Java library for handling console input. From 3.0.0 until 3.30.15 and 4.3.1, the JLine built-in nano editor's regex search mode passes a user-controlled search term from doSearch(String text) in builtins/src/main/java/org/jline/builtins/Nano.java to Java's backtracking regular expression engine without a timeout or backtracking bound. A nested-quantifier expression evaluated against non-matching buffer content can consume excessive CPU and indefinitely block the editor session thread, and remote multi-user deployments can lose a worker thread for each affected session. This issue is fixed in versions 3.30.15 and 4.3.1. | |||||
| CVE-2026-77423 | 2026-09-30 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH | ||
| JLine is a Java library for handling console input. From 3.0.0 until 3.30.15 and 4.3.1, the JLine built-in less viewer passes user-controlled search and display-filter patterns from getPattern(boolean doDisplayPattern) in builtins/src/main/java/org/jline/builtins/Less.java directly to Java's backtracking regular expression engine and repeatedly applies them to file content. A nested-quantifier expression evaluated against non-matching lines can consume excessive CPU and indefinitely block the session thread, and repeated sessions in Telnet or SSH deployments can exhaust a bounded worker pool. This issue is fixed in versions 3.30.15 and 4.3.1. | |||||
| CVE-2026-73556 | 1 Vllm | 1 Vllm | 2026-09-28 | N/A | 5.3 MEDIUM |
| vLLM is an inference and serving engine for large language models. Prior to 0.26.0, the structured_outputs.regex parameter in vllm/v1/structured_output/backend_lm_format_enforcer.py is passed to lmformatenforcer.RegexParser without compile_regex_with_timeout or validation in validate_structured_output_request_lm_format_enforcer, allowing an unauthenticated /v1/completions request against the lm-format-enforcer backend to consume a CPU core and stall the structured-output engine path with a catastrophic regular expression. This issue is fixed in version 0.26.0. | |||||
| CVE-2025-68475 | 1 Fedify | 1 Fedify | 2026-09-28 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| Fedify is a TypeScript library for building federated server apps powered by ActivityPub. Prior to versions 1.6.13, 1.7.14, 1.8.15, and 1.9.2, a Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) vulnerability exists in Fedify's document loader. The HTML parsing regex at packages/fedify/src/runtime/docloader.ts:259 contains nested quantifiers that cause catastrophic backtracking when processing maliciously crafted HTML responses. This issue has been patched in versions 1.6.13, 1.7.14, 1.8.15, and 1.9.2. | |||||
| CVE-2026-87722 | 2026-09-25 | N/A | N/A | ||
| Uncontrolled Resource Consumption (CWE-400 / CWE-1333) in regex search query predicates (such as RegexProjectPredicate, RegexRefPredicate, RegexPathPredicate, and sibling predicates) and REST regex filter endpoints (RegexListSearcher /projects/?r= and RefFilter /projects/{project}/branches/?r=) in Gerrit Code Review versions 2.1.6 through 3.12.9, 3.13.0 through 3.13.8, and 3.14.0 through 3.14.2 allows an unauthenticated remote attacker (or an authenticated user if anonymous read access is disabled) to cause a denial of service (CPU starvation and JVM heap exhaustion / OutOfMemoryError) via crafted search queries or REST API requests containing regular expressions with large counted repetitions or exponential DFA determinization patterns. Because the user-supplied regular expression is compiled into an unbounded dk.brics.automaton instance (new RegExp(re).toAutomaton()) on the request thread prior to index evaluation or access control visibility filtering, trivial queries can exhaust JVM heap or pin request threads regardless of heap size. This issue is fixed in Gerrit Code Review versions 3.12.10, 3.13.9, and 3.14.3. | |||||
| CVE-2026-58270 | 2026-09-24 | N/A | 6.5 MEDIUM | ||
| Sync-in Server is an open-source platform for file storage, sharing, collaboration, and syncing. Prior to version 2.4.0, the sync diff endpoint compiles a user-supplied string into a `RegExp` with no complexity validation. A catastrophic-backtracking pattern (e.g. `^(a+)+b`) blocks the Node.js event loop, making the entire server unresponsive to all users until the container is restarted. Version 2.4.0 patches the issue. | |||||
| CVE-2026-93761 | 1 Mongodb | 1 Mongoid | 2026-09-24 | N/A | 7.5 HIGH |
| An inefficient regular expression complexity issue in the in-memory query evaluation component of the Mongoid library may allow an unauthenticated party to cause excessive processing within an embedding application process. Applications that place user-supplied text into a pattern-matching query condition on an embedded association may become unresponsive. | |||||
| CVE-2026-85999 | 2026-09-23 | N/A | 5.3 MEDIUM | ||
| Soup Sieve is a CSS selector library designed to be used with Beautiful Soup 4. Prior to 2.9, selector_iter in src/soupsieve/css_parser.py trims the raw selector with RE_WS_END, an end-anchored WSC whitespace-and-comment expression used with search(), so the regular expression engine retries a greedy scan at every starting offset. An attacker-controlled valid selector containing a long internal whitespace run, or a selector containing a long CSS comment run followed by another token, causes quadratic CPU work before tokenization. User-controlled selectors can reach the path through soupsieve.compile() and BeautifulSoup.select(), while applications using only hard-coded selectors are unaffected. This root cause is separate from the IDENTIFIER and VALUE backtracking vulnerability because the cost occurs in RE_WS_END.search during trimming rather than token matching. The resulting CPU consumption can hold the Python GIL, exhaust workers, and stall a service without causing memory corruption or code execution. The issue is fixed in version 2.9. | |||||
