| CVE-2026-101307 | 1 Freebsd | 1 Freebsd | 2026-10-20 | N/A | 9.1 CRITICAL |
| When the PCM sample array needs to grow, the RACK stack doubles a 16-bit allocation counter. Repeated doublings caused the counter to wrap to zero, resulting in a near-zero-length allocation followed by a copy of the existing samples into the undersized buffer. A remote peer can trigger the expansion by sending a sufficient number of ACKs on an established connection. A remote attacker who can establish a TCP connection to a system using the RACK stack can trigger an out-of-bounds write of approximately 512 KB in the kernel heap possibly resulting in a kernel panic. | |||||
| CVE-2026-34118 | 1 Tp-link | 2 Tapo C520ws, Tapo C520ws Firmware | 2026-10-19 | N/A | 6.5 MEDIUM |
| A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability was identified in TP-Link Tapo C100/C101 v5, C210 v3.6 and C520WS v2.6 in the HTTP POST body parsing logic due to missing validation of remaining buffer capacity after dynamic allocation, due to insufficient boundary validation when handling externally supplied HTTP input. An attacker on the same network segment could trigger heap memory corruption conditions by sending crafted payloads that cause write operations beyond allocated buffer boundaries. Successful exploitation causes a Denial-of-Service (DoS) condition, causing the device’s process to crash or become unresponsive. | |||||
| CVE-2025-12840 | 1 Openexr | 1 Openexr | 2026-10-19 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| Academy Software Foundation OpenEXR EXR File Parsing Heap-based Buffer Overflow Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Academy Software Foundation OpenEXR. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within the parsing of EXR files. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of the length of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a heap-based buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process. Was ZDI-CAN-27948. | |||||

| CVE-2025-14935 | 1 Unidata | 1 Netcdf | 2026-10-19 | N/A | 7.8 HIGH |
| NSF Unidata NetCDF-C Dimension Name Heap-based Buffer Overflow Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of NSF Unidata NetCDF-C. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within the parsing of dimension names. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of the length of user-supplied data prior to copying it to a fixed-length heap-based buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current user. Was ZDI-CAN-27168. | |||||

| CVE-2026-38427 | 2026-10-19 | N/A | 7.3 HIGH | ||
| An issue in fetch_jpg() in xdrv_10_scripter.ino in Tasmota through 15.3.0.3 allows a remote attacker to cause heap buffer overflow. The Content-Length from a JPEG stream is stored in a uint16_t variable; values above 65535 wrap around, causing allocation of a smaller buffer than the data actually read. | |||||
